A doll blog

Some documenting photos of my second beaded top, Psychopomp and Circumstance. This time with a matching collar/necklace.

Size beads used: predominately 15s, with 11 accents, and mostly 18s for loops and toggles.

I filled in the missing plugs along her hairline with some bright pink that turned out to be color change (shifts to pale pink when hot) and threw together a really quick approximation of a salwar kameez, made from some kameez I thrifted super cheap a few years ago because they were stained.  The attempted dupatta was not long enough or drapey enough to look right, so it’s just rubber banded to her hand.

And I was able to get a pair of old Hasbro Shoozies onto her feet!  They had to be dropped in hot water a moment to be soft enough to stretch around her feet, but, overall, they work surprisingly well.

i think they turned out really cute, but got dam it was hell on earth trying to get those necks to fit

Just some pictures of Corazon Marikit, showing off some of her details.

She actually has a layered top, and they are separate pieces. The layers of her skirt can't be worn as separates though. The webbing on her wings is embroidered fabric. Just lovely details.

I really hope Monster High will continue to give us new monster characters, whether it be in the Skullector line or G3. I think that's what I miss about G1, seeing all the new Monsters introduced. Not that I don't like G3's redesigns, or some of the movie themed dolls, but it's not the same.

It's a little lessened by Corazon not coming with a profile or diary, (I would have really have loved to learned about her! That's the main selling point of Monster High, these aren't just dolls, they're characters you can get attached to!) but if @peppapigvevo wants to come up with one for her, I will accept it as canon. u_u
