Too Many Cartoons

READ UNTIL THE END!! So lots of people hate on catra for being evil throughout the show but nobody hates on s4 glimmer and I HATE HER. she’s a terrible friend. From the beginning of the show, it’s obvious she’s kind of spoiled and entitled (but that’s kinda to be expected) and she has a lot of Hubris. She doesn’t listen to her mom. When she gets in trouble for not following orders, she sneaks out to “prove” something?? She’s just always had that character flaw. Her mom kinda balanced it. Which is why s4 Glimmer is SO terrible. She has no balance. She is just doing whatever she wants without thinking about how it will affect anyone. She gets SUPER offended when adora and bow say she’s wrong. Like, super offended. How DARE they say that the QUEEN of brightmoon is wrong??? And let’s not forget she TEAMS UP WITH ADORAS ABUSER???? And doesn’t listen to adoras warnings. And let’s shadow weaver get close to her. adoras ABUSER!!!! Shadow weaver abused adora. That’s like way past the line. She acted like adora was over reacting by getting upset about it, like “I need to learn magic lol” uh isn’t your aunt like...the head of mysticore??? She could teach you tf??? Or one of the other magic people?? But no had to be evil shadow weaver adoras abuser. Someone glimmer claims to love and care about. She puts getting more powerful over her friends every time. Including with the heart of etheria. She uses adora as a distraction and puts her in danger constantly during s4, against adoras will and on shadow weavers advice. Let’s also talk about how adora internalizes every negative thing glimmer says to adora. “Everything bad that’s happening is YOUR FAULT” adora spends multiple episodes trying to prove her wrong. That’s so SAD and adora immediately forgave glimmer when they rescued her because adora felt like she deserved what glimmer said to her. She felt like glimmer was right about all of that. And I feel like glimmer never really apologized for saying “you make everything worse. You killed my mom. I wish you weren’t here”. She tried to force adora and bow to do what she wanted. She tried to take their free will. And when they (understandably and quite reasonably) left her to do what they thought was right, she played victim and said they abandoned her. She manipulated scorpia. She also brought horde prime to etheria. If she hadn’t been dumb enough to try and get more magic, more power, horde prime wouldn’t have found them. Light hope wouldn’t have pulled them out of the dark dimension. I’ve had friends like s4 glimmer and they suck. They’re terrible. I feel so bad for adora having to go thru that while fighting her childhood best friend/crush and dealing with her abuser every day. Also, shadow weavers little comment about hoping glimmer is a good friend? I think she caused some of this on purpose to hurt adora. And glimmer didnt see it. Even when shadow weaver was like “lol let her be the decoy”.
