The Fruit Macedonia of Atonement
A Fruit Salad with a Gentleman's Charm
Ingredients: (Serves 4)
1 Orange
1/4 of a Pineapple (Approx 200g)
6 Strawberries*
1 Banana
1-2 Tablespoons of Lemon Juice
30ml of Liqueur (Kirsch etc.)**
2 Tablespoons of Granulated Sugar
Mint leaves for Garnishing
Procedure
1) Peel the orange (including the white fibers if you're being fancy) and remove the sections with a carving knife one by one. Do this over a bowl*** and set aside any juice that's left over. Peel and core the pineapple, and then cut into bite-sized pieces. Remove the stems and halve the strawberries.
2) Put the fruit from step one into a bowl, and add a mixture of the leftover orange juice, lemon juice, liqueur and sugar. Leave the bowl to cool for 1-2 hours in the refrigerator.
3) Just prior to eating, cut the banana into coins of about 1cm thickness, mix with the chilled bowl of fruit and serve in a fancy bowl. Garnish with the mint leaves.

*It wants dainty, petite strawberries, if the illustration's anything to go by.
**It states only that, but seeing as Kirsch is a fruit brandy, I'm assuming it's asking for liqueur with fruitier notes. If anyone happens to be a liqueur connoisseur, do let me know what you think would go with a fruit salad~ (And of course kids, no drinking! /I'm a kid myself what am I saying |D )
***I seriously cannot get a good translation for the bit in the book, so I'm just suggesting you do it over a bowl since you'll probably drip juice into there. But if you're a meticulous cook who doesn't spill juice thank you very much, make sure you've got a bit of orange juice to add to the mixture.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND I'M BACK BABY
Wow "I do hope to be able to continue recipe translations before the end of April!" Hahhahahahaha oops sorry. So yeah, I've crawled out of my hole and here I am with a lovely Fruit Macedonia to break hiatus.
Ah yes, about that, the name is literally Fruit Macedonia of Apology before you start killing me for screwing around with the name but yes, I admit I had a little fun there ;u; If you recall it's what Sanji served Nami waaaaaaaaaaay back in the Baratie arc.
Well that's it for now, and I look forward to the next recipe I get to ruin with my horrible translations translate.
