Apparent union with the natural world is most often experienced when one is alone in nature because the perception of earth, heaven, and ocean symbolically abound with a sense of the unity of all things.”

Goddesses aren't "pure," they never were. Goddesses fully embrace their darkness, their chaos, their inner wars. They wreak havoc and do things as they please - ultimately in the name of good, and in hopes of inner and outer peace. But purity isn't a personality trait.
