I do not typically reach out to people, but I thought I might reach out to you.

I was a very enthusiastic reader of Shrike. It's probably my favorite fic ever, and I figured that because you had posted about it the other day, this would be an appropriate time to tell you how much I enjoyed it.

You write so well. I'm sure you know. I hope you know. Shrike was a pleasure to read for prose as well as for content.

I would *not* like the spark notes of your sequel, though, as I do not wish to also be sad. But I would like to congratulate you on a really engaging read where everything made sense and was equally sexy and romantic, as well as well-written.

I have embarked upon my own fic, and I hope to have it finished sooner rather than later. Yours was very much an inspiration to me. You have a great voice and style, and that made me want to develop my own. I suppose you walked so I could stagger.
