Allowing kids to join field trips or to new places is another opportunity to ignite their curiosity. Come prepared with questions to ask the kids while they’re at the most teachable state.

Early childhood is when kids feel so emotionally charged. When such moments occur, use it as an opportunity to teach them to develop self-calming and regulation skills. Your child will express strong emotions, that's a given. That's why you must make sure you are several steps ahead and teach them self-calming skills before they feel overwhelmed and lash out.

Do not force moments to be teachable moments. Guiding them is helpful, but you must also make sure that they feel free to explore things on their own.

Conflict resolution is a basic but very important skill that your child must learn early in life, as their earliest social interactions will most likely also involve making friends and getting into disagreements and fights with these very friends and playmates. Every toy encourages creativity, as most are manufactured to help with child development. But open-ended materials, such as toys with loose parts and those that are tactile and sensorial, are especially great to boost creativity.

That is why, it is important to face the challenge head-on and force your children and their peers to shake it out, at least not without settling the matter. Ask about their perspective and the decisions that led them to make their mistakes. Also, make sure to talk to them in a way that doesn't intimidate or scare them.
