Hello! I’m looking for a fic I read maybe 3ish years ago, I think it wasn’t long after season 4. It’s about Steve pretending to be Eddie’s alibi for the night Chrissy died, and told the police that they didn’t come forward because of yknow homophobia. If I remember correctly the rest of the town and then eventually Steve’s parents find out about their (fake) relationship and cut him off (and maybe kick him out?) but I might be mixing that up with another fic, and I’m fairly sure they did actually get together before the end. Soulmate AU, where soulmates share pain: It’s told mainly from Eddie’s POV. I remember one scene where Eddie and his band had a concert gig, and they’re happy post gig when Eddie almost die, and apparently it was in parallel to Steve being beaten by the russians. And I’m almost sure there’s another scene where the guys at hellfire casually comment about how prone to accidents it’s Eddie’s soulmate. I’m sure I read this on AO3

Hi! I read a short fic on Tumblr maybe a year and a half ago now (😭) and can't find it. Short summary is that Steve and Robin are working st scoops and steddie is dating but in secret. Since Steve is a ladies man, Robin claims Eddie is her BF and Steve is hurt thinking Eddie is cheating. I can't remember the end much but I think starcourt happens and they clear everything up and they live happily ever after.

hi hi!! i'm looking for a fic (i believe on ao3) where steve and eddie hook up for the first time; lying there afterward, steve is processing maybe being in love with eddie, but eddie takes his silence as steve regretting it and basically kicks steve out. steve and eddie both mope around for a while but finally end up talking and fixing their lack of communication when steve comes to eddie's trailer again. it was probably somewhere between 5k and 15k words and i think it was steve's pov!

sorry if this is too vague but the part i am remembering is that steve had bought eddie a special guitar for his birthday or christmas and right before the day i think steve found out the friendship or relationship wasn't real? maybe ??? and it absolutely broke his heart. steve dropped off the guitar anyway saying something along the lines of "what am i going to do with this anyway. i bought it for you, take it."

Hi! I’m looking for a long, multi chapter fic I read a while ago on ao3. I can’t remember if it was abo but it did have mpreg. Steve finds out he’s pregnant and I think he leaves without telling Eddie because he doesn’t want Eddie to give up his dream of being famous. Robin leaves with him and they work at a diner and live together in a small town. Steve has a boy and I’m pretty sure he calls him Theo. Eddie and his band end up at the restaurant while on tour (?) and he sees Steve and their son. There’s a lot in the middle I don’t remember but I’m pretty sure the kid (and possibly Steve) either go on tour with Eddie or meet up with him during his tour. At some point, Steve finds out that Eddie’s been struggling with rejection sickness. It was completed and had a happy ending!

ISO: completed AO3 Steddie fic; read sometime in June-July 2025; The scene that stands out is Eddie basically breaking up with Steve by telling him that they ‘shouldn’t do this anymore’ (or similar) while they are in Steve’s house (bedroom or bathroom?); probably a longer multichapter fic; maybe a canon rewrite OR a time travel fic where Steve and Eddie get together earlier, & Steve knows about the Upside Down but Eddie doesn’t (yet), which makes it seem like Steve is hiding things from him - tx
