Hidden from surface dwellers by rugged desert mountains, this is the largest dwarfish mine in the Windswept Realm, as well as the center for dwarfish culture. Artificially psionic beings, all elans were once humans. The result of bizarre psionic rituals, elans are superhuman in most aspects. They don't need to eat or sleep and are resistant to most damage. They are typically avoided by other races, even humans.

The insectoid dromites live in massive hives, usually build in and under mountains. They are the realm's most prominent psions, and freely share their talent with any others with the natural gift. However, they refuse to teach elans due to the fact that their psionic ability isn't natural.

Only the strongest of these winged beings can fly in the strong winds of the realm, but most raptoran glide through the air, letting the wind do the work for them. The raptoran reside on the cliffsides that were carved by millenia of wind. They hunt animals in the valleys between mountains and only occasionally send traders and diplomats to Unification City.

Gnolls are tribal creatures that tend to remain isolated from other intelligent races. Because of their lack of contact with the outside world, not much is known about them. Gnolls live in either hunter tribes or nomad tribes. Hunter tribes are fiercely aggresive and territorial, and they won't hesitate to kill intruders. Nomad tribes prefer to avoid conflict and simply move on when times get tough.

This massive Ancient structure sits at the heart of Unification City. It consists of a floating platform connected to the ground by a tether. No one has been able to enter the structure, and its exact purpose is unknown.

Shunned by most of  society, were-creatures have built their own culture in the sewers of Unification City.  Due to many rogue elements, travel through the sewers is dangerous, but most lycanthropes harbor no ill will against other beings.

Natives of the eastern plains, these uncivilized warriors live in small tribes that are constantly at war with each other.  They are usually welcoming to outsiders, but they are unpredictable and prone to violence.  Inter-tribal wars prevent minotaur numbers from seeing much growth.

Enormous machines built to protect Lorin Dracht's dig sites, they all appear similar to a real creature. Dracht built a total of five. Each one is very different from the other, but they all share the same basic construction mechanics. The five behemoths are Clockwork Beholder, Clockwork Dragon, Clockwork Elemental, Clockwork Kraken, and Clockwork Render.

A dwarf tinkerer and archaeologist, he is convinced that the Ancients still exist and has dedicated his life to combing through Ancient ruins to prove his theory. He has claimed several high-profile ruins as his own and built Clockwork Behemoths to guard them.

One of the few major technological advances made by people other than the Ancients, it is a recent development that has yet to see widespread use. It is mostly used by dwarves, who invented it, though many flintlock pistols have found their way into bandit hands.

The great half-elf prophet of the Chosen of Din, he leads his cult with absolute zealous power. He is equally deadly with a blade and the tongue.

A small kingdom of mixed race, they worship Nerull as the one true god and follow the teachings of Din his prophet. They view the belief in other gods as heresy worthy of death. They have been terrorizing the lands east of Unification City in recent years.

An ancient mass-tomb on Ridgecrest Mountain to the west of Unification City, it has been renovated by the kobold into a new home. The kobold here are welcoming to outsiders, though all visitors will find their pockets much lighter after visiting.

While most kobolds in the world are savage and violent, the kobold kingdom at Ridgecrest Barrow have turned from their violent ways in the name of peace and profit. Motivated by greed, they have established trading contacts in Unification City. They are not trusted and have a (just) reputation for thievery.

Only useable in the calm skies of Skypeace Lake, airships ferry people to-and-fro in this popular tourist attraction.
