in the nhl subs are pretty damn rare to come across. most sports don’t have tons of subs as is but hockey in particular is very very dom heavy. and to keep things fair, the nhl doesn’t put out players classifications to the public so nobody’s treated differently by fans or other players alike, kinda like how they treat injuries

but because the nhl is EVIL they decide a month into the 26/27 season that they’re gonna put out every single players classification, it’s a great idea right? right? well no. it causes lots of stress and problems for teams cause even certain workers who are directly with players didn’t know every players dynamic - it’s just a mess. lots of trades happening. namely subs getting thrown to any team that’ll take them cause having an all dom/adynamic team is better (supposedly)
