in order to experience growth, you need to be planted in the right environment. throw a seed on the pavement and it will sit there for years, getting stepped on and thrown aside. plant a seed in spoiled soil and it may never get the chance to grow. neglect to water the seed and it will grow slow and shrivel easy. in order to grow, we need to be planted in an environment that honors our needs and cultivates our potential. you’re not broken, you’re not hopeless, you’re not failing – you’re just not in the right environment. 

Yo if you’re a boy with mental illness, a boy with disabilities, a boy who is/was an abuse victim, a boy who has an ED, a boy with trauma, I need you to know that you are not a burden, that you don’t need to “harden up”, that you are very brave, and that you shouldn’t just have to “get over it”.

For a minute imagine that it’s a late summer evening and the trees are rustling in the warm wind.

after everything you have been through, i hope you know that you deserve the stars. i hope you know that people love you and that you are worthy of that love.

yeah a lot of ppl r bad but we also find art in the night sky and tell stories that r passed down from generation 2 generation and we fix each other’s necklaces and save each other’s lives and hug and love rlly hard. the world is scary but there is so so so much good. i promise.
