This was just the beginning…

As I’m sure you’ve all heard by now, Phoebe Bridgers has a new album out called Lost Weekend, which features Bo Burnham significantly as both a lyricist AND as a vocalist (woot!).

That means my website has been inundated with new viewers looking to learn more about the power couple. In fact, my numbers have doubled since May for my most popular post about their relationship, which you can read here:

I mean…there is a song called Bobby that is clearly about Bo with him singing in the background, how could I not? Haha

ICYMI, the big news in the Bo Burnham fandom is that he has a LYRICIST CREDIT for Phoebe Bridgers’ newest single! 🤯

It’s true (per her YouTube video for the single). SO exciting to see the two collaborating musically!

If you have been living under a rock and are like…when did Bo and Phoebe become a thing?, I have got the PERFECT post for you: my most popular article that details their relationship from friends to a power couple who dominated the Grammys two years ago!

I am also definitely going to follow up on this news when Phoebe’s album comes out in August. Exciting times!

In terms of the only other Bo news I’ve heard of recently, there’s the production of something called Outside in the works apparently, but it’s in early stages and there’s nothing official yet.

And, of course, we have the ongoing saga of the doomed Sesame Street movie. The latest news on that, per Bo’s subreddit, is that Netflix might be releasing it in February 2027. This has been up in the air since 2019, so who knows what will actually happen lol.

My husband and I watched it together on Saturday night, and even though I haven’t thought about the special in ages, the feelings all came rushing back as soon as we saw Bo light up that disco ball. By the way, how cool was the Google Pride logo yesterday? I ADORED it!

Anyway, Saturday was also the third anniversary of my website, so you might have noticed the new layout!

In addition to the design update, I FINALLY finished my decades-long project of analyzing every chapter of Sandra Lee’s “cookbook” for kids. I started working on this in 2007, and I’m really proud of the fact that I actually followed through with one of my ambitious writing tasks. I had writer’s block for SO long, but I figured having my comedy website was the best place to post the remaining chapters.

And finally, I wrote a quick retrospective of my website and the articles I am most proud of—you can check that out here.

The three-year anniversary of SUCH is coming up quickly, and this month will see some significant changes to my comedy website.

May 30th is Inside Day, so I plan to do a retrospective post compiling all of my previous articles about the comedy special that changed my life

That day is also SUCH’s anniversary, so I am refreshing my website with a modern design update that will make it easier to read and more aesthetically pleasing (hopefully)

And the big news: I am launching an app in Wix Spaces so that my members will have a place to view all of my blog posts as well as discuss all things comedy with me. The app will go live on 5/30 with some fun conversation starters—be sure to check it out!

For today’s holiday, I have a new Sandra Lee post up about the sixth chapter of her cookbook for kids, appropriately titled Movie Munchies.

While that title may sound enticing if you’ve been celebrating today, I can guarantee the recipes are anything but appetizing. For example, one recipe has her putting salsa on top of popcorn (yeah, that’ll be easy to eat and not soggy at all!).

Well, it took me a bit longer than expected to get my Demetri Martin March posts up on my website, but they are available now.

One post is 10 fun facts about one of my favorite comics, and another is the weird and wild history of Demetri and Microsoft Vista (yes, that Vista haha).

I have also created a compilation of everything I’ve written about Demetri that includes his books, his appearance on Flight of the Conchords, and his two comedy specials that are available in their entirety on YouTube.

I hope you have enjoyed Demetri Martin March, and I plan to have my Bo Burnham influences post about Demetri and him up soon.

In the meantime, you can check out their We Bear Bears episode “Nom Nom’s Entourage” that features both comedians (and Patton Oswalt!) as voice actors. I love Demetri as Ice Bear!

Demetri Martin March!

Yes, I will be diving into everything Demetri, including his influence on Bo Burnham, his short-lived TV show, and his connection to Windows Vista (that’s a DEEP cut for comedy fans haha).

As I had promised, I have TWO newish posts on my website.

The first is a look back two years ago when Phoebe Bridgers and Bo Burnham ruled the Grammys. This was also the last time fans have really seen Bo out in public, so I thought it would be a good idea to document it in case we never hear from him again (fingers crossed that’s NOT the case!).

The second is another entry in the Sandra Lee debacle known as Cool Kids’ Cooking! This time, I take a look at the chapter entitled Brainiac Breaks. While the recipes are as abysmal as they always are, I did find one thing to compliment: this photo of a cat-shaped dip is very adorable (albeit a lot of unnecessary work).

Next up: Movie Munchies (and I’m sure Sandy was smoking something when she came up with these messes)!

I am BACK with a goal of reviving my website with lots of new posts.

So why have I been absent for so long? Lots of reasons, but mainly these:

I am now officially divorced from my ex.

I am now officially a homeowner.

I am now officially a married woman again with the love of my life Jeff. We tied the knot at the Philadelphia Water Works on 9/20/25.

So yeah, some BIG life events in 2025. My taxes are gonna be crazy!

But now, I have made a New Year’s resolution to work on my website again. I still have tons of comedians I haven’t covered, and I am planning to finish some series of posts I never finished (Bo’s influences, Sandra Lee, etc.).

If I had interviewed you in 2023 or 2024 and never published the results, don’t worry—that will happen as well! I will be in contact to get any updates on your work/life before posting them, most likely on a Saturday schedule.

Yes, it’s May 30th, the fourth anniversary of Bo Burnham’s masterpiece as well as the second anniversary of my website and the start of SUCH (Woo-hoo!)

And I’m finally back in action after having a few rough months working out a lot of legal stuff in 2025.

However, I’ve made it to the big day, and I am now officially divorced AND a homeowner!

To celebrate all the good things, my boyfriend Jeff and I are seeing Vampire Weekend perform in Philly tonight. We had bought the tickets well in advance of everything happening this month, but it works out perfectly (and Jeff is a huge fan of them too!)

I do plan to have more updates soon, and hopefully I can start working on the website again this summer. 🤞
