I really like the way they dress the Jumi in this game but boy I’m glad for concept art, otherwise rendering their clothes properly would be a LOT harder.

Ikeda emphasizes the baroque pearls sewn along the hemline of the dresses of Pearl and Blackpearl, uneven and haphazardly placed, conveying the instability of the character(s). I personally find that the waves crashing out from around their cores delineate them further: high and low tide, obviously connected to the moon. They share hairstyles modeled after conch shells, and dresses in the shape of oysters, but minor differences in their outfits sever their personas by battle-readiness.
