so a few weeks ago i reported a very obvious terf. a new account otherwise entirely empty at the time, the most terfy terf to ever terf, having terf in the username, and being openly transphobic, transmisogynistic, and saying slurs: (there's more to the post but you get the gist)

and this was the response from tumblr support:

There Is Someone (Or Multiple People) In Tumblr Support Right Now Who Openly Endorses Transphobia And Transmisogyny But Will Terminate Transfems' Blogs For Literally No Reason Given. At This Point It Might Even Be Unofficial Site Policy To Allow Twerfs But Nuke Transfems' Blogs

they said the same thing to me when I reported a terf community with terf in the name consisting of nothing but posts mocking and dehumanizing trans women and they said the same thing to me when I reported multiple people making explicit death threats towards my friend

any report against a transfem or harassment target gets clear priority, facing much harsher and swifter punishment for much less, if they've even done anything at all, while the people stalking and harassing take weeks to face little to no punishment and get to appeal it all away regardless

It's always disappointing when a series makes a big deal about societal and structural problems in it's setting, making readers think it has interesting things to say about the subject, only to then resolve the problems by fighting The CEO of Racism, John Racist, so that all of society's problems would then get better because they promoted a new CEO.

#there's a really baffling book i read that does a reverse are we baddies and President of Racism #because the mcs go on a research trip and discover their beloved mentor murderered but then oops!#mentor was a rebel attempting to assassinate the king because her country was colonized? i guess she's evil now!#and one of the mcs is the sidelined heir to a region with a history of demanding independence and she's like omg noooo good people #the king is my friend and we're all at peace here okay let's chill <3 #god forbid anyone in this narrative wanted their situation to improve #ah! and the main mc faces a lot of the world's standin for antisemitism like incl seperate living areas IN THE CAPITAL #yet by the end when she's named advisor to the king friend she doesn't do Anything to change things for her family/people remaining there #very pull ladder up thing #so yeah dark and drowning tide pissed me off so much why did it get so popular???
