All the Trans Jax discourse has made me realise how many people don't view representation as something that exists to represent people to themselves and make them feel seen or validated but rather to represent us to non queers as a palatable sales pitch for why they should tolerate our existence.

Much been said about how the flowers reflect asgores beliefs but viewing yellow and blue thru the lens of his view of his marriage does make me feel like attacking him with axes. Like Blue and Yellow themselves are cute but in the context of asgore's beliefs, that one Blue line about a man of the law with a chaotic application of justice being beautiful is slightly scary. Asgore so sees himself as both a golden retriever boyfriend and dirty harry it makes me wanna throw up
