Gorgeous sibling hand cast 💗💙
“I want to kiss you every minute, every hour, everyday”💋
SRC’s ‘Kiss Casting Kit & Frame Display’ is available to purchase via my #Etsy shop! 🤗
I just came across these of the alginate mould we produced of my bump and partners hands. (What the mould looked like before and after being cast 🙈)
The mould itself looks so weird and it’s so hard to imagine how the casting will turn out. I remember feeling so impatient when waiting for the plaster to set, praying it would come out perfectly! I’m so greatful it come out as intended.. obviously needing abit of clean up.. but it was so worth it for a gorgeous keepsake of my first pregnancy ☺️
Another shot of a hand casting fresh out of the mould 🖐🏼
When it’s dried out and sealed the casting is going to be displayed in a frame which will be used as an example piece to photograph for a new casting kit I’m working on 😏

Bump casting (38 weeks)
It feels like forever ago that I made this casting of my bump. Even though my baby has been born and I’m loving it very second of it, I still miss my bump🤰🏼 I’m so glad I have these castings of my baby bump to keep forever... even if I still haven’t got around to working on them since making them 🙈
Baby castings 🖐🏼👣
Baby casting kits are available to purchase on my SRC #etsy shop, so you can produce your own castings at home.
It’s such a lovely and fun experience making your own hand and feet castings of your little one. They are perfect little keepsakes that you can cherish forever, after all they grow up so fast! It’s nice having something physical to remember how little they once were, and also the memories of making them together.
My baby is only 9 months old and I still look back at her 1 month old castings and can’t believe she was ever that small 💗
My first pregnancy bump mould ☺️
This literally feels like yesterday! I remember panicking that I was leaving it to late in my pregnancy to take my (nearly full term) bump castings. I’m so glad I managed to take 4 different casts of my bump before my little one made an appearance at 40+5 weeks.
This was my first successful mould produced on myself with the help of my partner and mother. I still haven’t had time to work on it since making it mind.. 🙈
Today’s mission is to clean up my 40 week bump casting. I can’t believe I’ve put it off for nearly 9 months! (Photo of my bump casting straight out of the mould)
I’m literally so excited to display this casting in my renovated studio space 🤗
I will be adding the finishing touches to my at-home studio over the weekend so hopefully next week I can share some photos of the renovations 🤞🏼
It’s so nice to finally have a space that I’m actually excited to work in everyday 🧑🎨⚒️

Is this just me?
I’m not going to lie, I was so naive about how much time I would have to work around having a baby. I literally thought having a baby will be so easy, I will work when she naps (assuming all babies napped most of the time). Well my child doesn’t, don’t get me wrong, she sleeps well through the night but I just assumed all babies napped a lot through the day also 🙈
I had so many plans for my maternity leave. I was going to get everything up to date to be able to start fresh after my maternity leave. Eg. Update all my casting kit listings and instructions, create more casting kits, design a variety of promotional materials, completely renovate my studio, work on my own bump castings, finish off little casting ideas I’d started but never got around to finishing, photograph loads of castings and edit them all also.. the list goes on.
WELL, let’s just say that didn’t go to plan. I managed to take a variety of hand and foot castings of my little one every other month, I renovated my studio (plastered, painted, new tiles, all new furniture and deco etc), I also got half way through working on 3 of my pregnancy bump castings.. 9 WHOLE MONTHS OFF WORK AND THAT IS IT! 🙈🤣
Even though I planned to be productive throughout my maternity leave, I don’t regret spending all my time bonding with my baby. Everytime she fell asleep cuddled into me I would just embrace that moment, yes I had plenty of other things I should of been cracking on with (housework & work) but I just loved those snuggles. Motherhood is such an amazing experience and you seriously need to embrace every single moment you have with them.
So I will be easing myself back into work this week, obviously working when I can and not push myself trying to juggle everything. If any other casters or mothers working from home have any advice regarding routines or how to manage work around everything else please drop me a message, I would love any advice!
Successful full term bump mould produced with the help of my family 🥰
The mould has been cast however the revealed casting is still sitting patiently in my studio waiting to be worked on ... at this rate I won’t have the time to work on it until my baby is in school 🤣

This grid image also includes a sneak preview of the body casting produced straight out of the mould - I’m literally so excited to clean up this casting.. I just need to find the time to work on it around a newborn baby that insists on constant cuddles! 🙈

My final bump casting produced 6 weeks ago🤰🏼
This casting was made 2 days before the arrival our my little girl - I’m so glad she decided to make a late appearance otherwise we never would of had the opportunity to make this gorgeous style casting. It really is something I will cherish forever 💗
I will be uploading a variety of photos of the casting process this week. It was so much fun to make and I love how my family were also involved in the making process!
