Look all I'm saying is that when a fighting game player says "I don't want to play against zoners or rushdown or grapplers I exclusively want to play against Shoto-style all-rounders" everyone universally calls them a whiny scrub who should either learn the matchup or play a different game, so I'm not sure why when Magic players say this we're supposed to say that yes actually it's morally wrong to play anything other than midrange and that any deck who wants to win faster than average or disrupt their opponents' gameplans needs to establish verbal consent and a safe word before playing.

I want a sitcom about a friend group or family wherein one of the main characters is a trans woman. I want her to be the most bubbly, kind, energetic character and the show to demonstrate over the episodes that this woman is the fucking glue that holds these people together. They love each other but there’s miscommunications and difficulties expressing themselves and well-meaning ideas that turn toxic. But you have this character who has had to build herself from nothing and is paying that joy she’s cultivated outward.

And then I want a flashback episode that takes place ten years before. And that trans woman is the saddest, numbest man with no light in her eyes. I want her future self to haunt that narrative like a fucking specter. Watching fights that she would have stopped and people she would have helped. It should be clear that when someone finds themselves and cultivates self-love it spills out to the people around them, too. And the relationships aren’t the same without that.

I have this concept in my head of a moment with this idea.

I imagine one of the other main characters of this show spends a whole season dating someone, and at the end of the penultimate episode of the season, they're dumped. This breakup is framed by the friend group as the worst breakup this character has had since their first love and legendary breakup in High School (I imagine the ex who dumped them, a decade ago, is even mentioned from time to time in casual conversation). The breakup in the past was so bad that the state of disrepair the character was left in emotionally continues to haunt the friend group even now.

And then the story of the last episode of the season is seeing them at the end of that previous relationship, intercut with the present as they sink into that post-breakup depression. And there's the trans woman, in the past, with no light in her eyes and mired in dysphoria that she hasn't identified yet. And in the past, she didn't know what to say. She didn't know how to comfort. How can you be there for someone if you aren't even there for yourself?

And the episode ends in the present, with the trans character sitting with them. And the things she says to that character, in the present, are heard over the shot of her watching them in the past, unable to help. But this time, she's here.

The idea is that it's not going to be as bad this time. That this time, she's there for them. She can be there and be the person her friend needs in the present because she's grown into a person who can both love and be loved.

"I know it hurts. I know you're suffering, and it feels like it'll never end- but it will. It may never be the same, but that's because you're not the same as you were. It's okay to change. It's okay to be changed by your life and the people you've met, by comings and goings. You're hurting now, but you won't always be. And I'm here, now, as long as you need me. I won't leave you to suffer alone."

IDK. Just something that popped into my head.

I think what’s wrong with a lot of people is theyr not eating breakfast. They’re starting the day with at most 16ounces of milk with espresso and riding on that until lunch time. What they don’t understand is eating breakfast helps absorb all the excess yellow bile that builds up overnight when they sleep and makes them angry. It’s basic humor balancing
