I can’t wait to see Ladybug and Chat Noir fight each other!! If it’s not a result of Chat Noir being mind controlled (given the black baton and Thomas’s tweets here, it’s likely he legit switches sides), also consider:

Adrien and Marinette get closer while Ladybug and Chat Noir are in war

They have no idea of course, it’s just “not safe out there atm” so they’re trying to protect each other

On the other hand both Marinette and Adrien are kind of angsting about the fact that they’re fighting each other’s superhero forms

Like the dense fools they are, they have some conversations that are really vague and scraping the subject like “I just have a friend who .. I always thought was a friend. It hurts you know?” / “I’m sorry Marinette, I know exactly how you feel. Funnily enough, I’m kinda going through a similar thing right now.”

Also, Adrien’s fucking all like “MARINETTE STAY SAFE” when she tries to run off to transform and grabs her hand to bring her behind the corner and they’re both trying to escape each other at the same time so they can go transform and fight each other 😂😂😂
