We all have our dreams and desires, but currently for many people, dreaming alone has become a luxury for the world is hellbent on denying them their humanity.

It has been well over a year of Palestinian genocide and people lost their homes, their families and even their dreams. One such story is of my friend Mahmoud Abu Hamam ( @ma7moudgaza2 ) who was an engineering student and dreamt of completing his degree and starting a life of his own. However at only twenty years of age, the dream of his life was taken away from him and he now spends his time in a tent, cold and often hungry, trying to communicate with people and requesting them to pay attention to his campaign. The only thing Mahmoud dreams of now, is for an end to this occupation, to this genocide so that he may live in a warm house and sleep in a warm bed. He hates that to the world he is just a number, to be talked about broadly in debates and that no one knows him or tries to see him as a person. He hates that he is just another fundraiser on a social media site and how the world cannot see that he has been reduced to this one identity on the internet, because of the violence of the occupation. As of now even his campaign is not going well and today he received only THREE DONATIONS. Mahmoud is heartbroken over it and doesn't know what to do or what is left of him. So please do something for Mahmoud. The world failed his dream for no fault of his own and now he feels like the world will fail his campaign as well. Please do not grow complacent. BOOST AND DONATE. Mahmoud and his brother, Muhammad, are campaigning to buy supplies to survive this winter season. My name is Hazem Jouda, I am 20 years old and I have spent my life in Gaza since birth.

My life was filled with happiness and comfort until October 7th when the war in Gaza began, bringing tragedy to me and my family. Initially, I was studying IT at one of Gaza's prestigious universities (Islamic University), but the war disrupted my studies in my third year.

This led me to start a campaign to collect donations after much thought, as it wasn't easy for me and my family, as rebuilding my future is my right.

The war stole my academic certificate, and not only that, my family and I lost our own home and our own business, which was our only source of income. We had a well-known shop for making and selling oriental sweets in Khan Yunis city, which my father dedicated his efforts and life to establish in 2013. The occupation destroyed it, and I, along with my siblings, lost our jobs, leaving me unemployed and without any source of income.

Everything changed on October 7th, when the tragedy struck. Within a week, we were forced to flee our home after it was heavily shelled, leaving with nothing but the clothes on our backs. After days, we received news that it had been destroyed, along with our memories.

Despite the challenges I face,

I remain determined to continue my education and achieve my aspirations. With limited options available to me in Gaza,

I made the brave decision to leave my family and seek opportunities abroad where I can build my future and support my family.

However, embarking on this journey comes with its own set of challenges. I am seeking to raise $5000 to facilitate my journey through the Rafah border crossing to Egypt as a first stop, as well as travel expenses, visa fees, initial university registration fees, and living expenses

Last week I made a post to raise awareness my friend Bisan Al-Balawi, who I've been speaking with for some time. She is trapped in Gaza with her family facing immense hardship due to the destruction of her home and life, the onset of winter, and the continual threat of violence. Originally, she made fundraiser primarily to buy a new tent to replace the one her family currently lives in, which is damaged by the elements and unsuited to protect them from the coming cold.

However, since then, the situation has become more urgent. Bisan, who has been working day and night to try and find food and water for her family, was hospitalised with malnutrition just this week. Her life is in danger. Her situation is unsustainable without outside help—help that we can provide.

Bisan needs £8,000 both to buy the tent her family needs and also help pay for vital necessities such as food and medicine. This is not something that can wait a long time. Currently, she is only at £1,774 of that goal. Compared to other fundraisers this is very achievable. Just this week I was able to dedicate the spare money from my paycheck to her campaign, and I know that a lot of you also have steady paychecks and cash to spare. You may not think it's a lot, but donations add up. If you can't donate, please share so that this can reach more people!

I am talking to you today, from the beginning of the month of 10, the beginning of the fall season and the beginning of the winter weather. As you know, our situation in tents is limited to a few old mattresses and worn-out covers from the previous winter and some light clothes because we did not live the previous winter in tents and we are not ready for that.

So I am asking you to help me raise enough money for

First, buying new covers for me and my family of 20 people, which may cost a large sum of money due to the high prices.

Second: Buying clothes for me and my family as well

Third, we strengthened our tent from sinking by purchasing a large shader, the price of which is $100 at this time

Fourth, buy some supplies that may be needed in the winter, such as sugar, oil, and rice

Fifthly, we bought some wood to build a throne next to our tent to sit in during our free time

The cost of these goals may reach $5,000, and we need to reach them before winter arrives. I will work hard on that, and I hope that you will help me as well and stand by me by donating and sharing with your friends.

How can a person forget his home?! His comfort, after returning from university, was to enjoy a cup of coffee, his ritual for completing his tasks, and at the end of the week in front of the television watching a comedy movie.

The house and the road to it were beautiful. Life was lived with sincerity and warmth of moments. It was our happiness to return to our homes.

Happiness became a wish, and a loaf of bread became a miniature happiness.

After purchasing the tent, and as you know that there has been no electricity in Gaza for more than 10 months, my next goal is to turn on the electricity to charge mobile phones and light the tent!! Due to the lack of fuel or generators, the only source of energy in Gaza is solar energy, but most people cannot buy it due to its high cost, so I will make my next goal to buy a complete solar energy system. All I need is a solar panel, the price of which in Gaza is $1000. A 200A battery costs $1,000, an inverter converter costs $800. So the next target is $2800. ‼️
