today i once again must endure the mortifying ordeal of having to actually work to obtain groceries and pretty little trinkets instead of receiving them as offerings for being such a divine creature.

i have this interesting observation: while i don’t feel emotional empathy for my loved ones, i do feel responsibility. that’s also the reason why the famous concept of giving 'comfort, not solutions' in difficult situations is so hard for me. like, what do you mean i can’t fix everything for you and resolve all your problems that have nothing to do with me?

i find it kind of hilarious how every research paper on the connection between narcissism and religion claims that people with npd love organized religion and are drawn to it. like, honey... why would i enjoy praising some other being? i am my own god.
