the riverdale quality writing and the poorly done green screen is embarassing. did they spend all their budget on shiny advertising and live concert? aging up a teen character so they can show lestat fucking her is weird af.

also there's a recent clip of jacob being interviewed while surrounded by white people, rolin and mark included, while they continued to dismiss his character. that shit pissed me off. somehow he's the one who has to answer questions about louis being 'unreliable'.

(I think I know the interview you're talking about, I saw a gifset with Louis yet again being called a liar, and thought it was weird Rolin was sat right there and didn't disagree. Death to all of them!).

I think what was really surprising/disappointing to me was how bland, tame, and milquetoast the first ep was. We waited 2 years for this? They hyped this tone/lead change so much, and insisted this was going to be a crazy, wild, shocking ride... and gave us none of that. Weird. You started promoting this immediately after season 2 ended, didn't even let it have its moment for the sake of hyping s3, only to give us nothing? Are you not ashamed of yourself? Are you not embarrassed? This is really embarrassing.

The way Lestat struggles with upholding the facade in front of his mother that he's not bothered by anything that's happening to/around him, the way it crumbles a little and he actually attempts to be emotionally vulnerable and open for a moment before he closes back up and shifts into a grotesque attempt at being seductive because he knows his mother dgaf about him unless he's somehow satisfying her (as an object of sexual gratification and/or serving as her vessel of projection for the male privilege she seeks to embody).
