Reading: i have my fingers in so many literary pies RN, but the one I'm working on the most is The Rise and Fall of Dinosaurs by Stephen Brusatte, which is sort of THE pop science dino book.

Last Song: Blood and Roses by The Smithereens

Last Film: a total goofball gag-fest that's also the last movie one of my favorite exploitation director did, aka Frank Henenlotter's Bad Biology. A woman has six clits and can't stop killing guys by how hard she comes. Meanwhile, a man's penis is sentient. Features an end credits rap song from the producer about how hard it was to make the movie.

Last Series: i've been watching a lot of Bewitched on Tubi. sitcoms kinda rule. perfect to watch while you eat your spaghetti.

Coffee or Tea: coffee, and cold brew if possible

Working on: so much for my actual work, LOL, and also for a zine fest I'm tabling at in October. i also have that one omegaverse matchmaker fic cooking but its waaaaaaaaaay back on the burner. practically in the slowcooker, so when it's finally served it'll be tender as hell.

Reading: (a large pile of books I still need to work through, my copy of The Godfather is over a decade old and untouched) Just finished reading So Thirsty by Rachel Harrison; a vampire horror meets midlife crisis dramedy, female centered. A very fun quick read, great up until the end where I felt it did lose steam.

Last Song: Revival by Martine Girault, the Japanese LP Mix to be specific (because a good song can never be too long). Love her first two albums, Revival (1995) and S.O.U.L. (1997).

Last Film: Obsession (2026), and it lived up to the hype. A man makes a wish for the woman he's become fixated on to love him more than anyone/thing in the world, and it works (out badly for him). A very good litmus test for any men in your life.

Last Series: American Dad (it just returned to FOX after years over on TBS, and admittedly it's been a somewhat weak return, but there are still gems to be found), i've been watching and have loved this show since it first aired in 2005. A very funny animated show largely focused on an all-American family (and the alien that lives in their attic); with outlandish plots and wonderfully surrealist comedy.

Sweet or Salty: Sweet, everytime. Usually a sweet thing is the first thing I eat in a day, I need the sugar to get me going (and a sweet treat often helps make life feel worth living).

Coffee or Tea: Tea, always taken black, no sugar or additives. I especially enjoy green tea with lemon, and Assam (on average I probably drink about four to six cups a day).

Working on: (in real life, job hunting for a new second job) For fun, i've been getting back into gif-fing on here. I gave it up for a long while, but now i'm really enjoying it again (also planning to start some new crocheting soon, I love making hats and scarfs; it's so relaxing).

Reading: When I Think of You by Myah Ariel. Admittedly, I’ve been in a reading slump but that’s the last one I read, last one I finished was Fellow Travelers by Thomas Mallon.

Last Song: Outta Time by Kelela! Her whole album is great. Also in rotation is Olivia Rodrigo’s new album and Daydream 30 by Mariah ofc!

Last Film: The Starling Girl, a coming of age movie. Heavily recommend if you like drama movies and movies that explore heavier themes.

Last Series: Dance Academy, it’s an on and off thing right now but I think I might binge it soon.

Sweet or Salty: Sweeet always. Salty is a taste that comes and goes for me.

Coffee or Tea: Does sweet tea count lol? Not really into coffee or most teas. But a southern style sweet tea in an ice cold glass is where it’s at!

Working On: Maybe being more active on this account throughout the year? My personal life is getting more busy so it’s a pipe dream but yeah. Something else is getting back into collecting CDs and Vinyls. I recently bought the aforementioned albums above on CD, but I want moree!
