Wanderer is on the aromantic spectrum to me but I donāt think he cares enough or is the kind of person to consider using that labeling if he had access to it whatsoever. You feel me
post by oomf reminded me of this, defining wanderer as a big yearner but not in the romantic sense is a great way to describe him. Itās really easy for me to imagine him as someone who doesnāt really experience romantic attraction in a conventional way, if at all. I think a lot of his relationship with it would be complicated feelings stemming from believing he ālacks a heartā + his misanthropy and just a general disinterest in conforming to human standards
In my head an aromantic Scaramouche would take pride in his lack of interest in romance, both because it kind of reaffirms his own self loathing & this feeling thereās something wrong with him/his humanity, but also because it feels itās a spectrum of emotion & therefore vulnerability heās been able to āovercomeā/stamp out
Then eventually as the Wanderer he chills out and is more accepting of the fact this just isnāt how he operatesāmaybe in a similar vein to how he talks about the idea of having a normal life in his teapot voicelines. I specifically like the idea of him being demi-aromantic, or just generally an aromantic person open to a ārelationshipā of sorts under very specific circumstances because that feels most in line to me with how he goes about other kinds of relationships he has, I feel when he gets close to someone or forges a notable bond with them itās always a very specific kind of relationship with a lot of uniqueness to how he connects with that individual in particular

Hi everyone if you are making a grilled cheese sandwich. When you melt butter in the pan you should also throw in a bit of garlic, salt, pepper, rosemary, and a slight pinch of red pepper flakes before slapping the bread down. Then when ur done with the sandwich slather some honey on top of the grilled bread. Trust me

You can use oregano, basil, etc instead of or alongside rosemary if you want but rosemary is my favorite

tbh this conversation has been had before about genshin but this applies to arknights too but like. literally any time the question of "why are characters that are supposed to be dark skinned so white" pops up with chinese games the answer is always chinese colourism. its such a big part of chinese beauty standards with the association of dark skin with working class manual labourers and pale skin with wealth and education because of the history of social classes in china. so characters who are meant to come across as beautiful or handsome and refined are almost always going to be pale skinned, and the dark skinned characters are usually brawns over brains
obv this colourism feeds into racism, because of the association of pale skin with intelligence and wealth, and of dark skin with manual labour and the working class. its not uncommon for chinese people to hold this view about others, both in and out of the sinosphere. so like, yeah, this is a societal problem in chinese culture, and i kinda wish conversations about its reflection in chinese mobile games addressed it more often, cause it feels like its never brought up
