Probe 3. 8 Hours Bursting straight in with the sort of unapologetically joyous, bouncing vibes you’d usually find on Shogun or even Metalheadz, “Take It Now” featuring Helena is the sort of bright-eyed and bushy-tailed dancefloor-smasher that gets a crowd skanking with a smile. “Probe” on the other hand has the snarling, understated bass and glistening piano licks of something far more European – it’s a deep roller of a track, more concerned with texture and suspense than forced payoffs. Rounding off this mini exploration into the many sounds of DnB, “8 Hours” skips and jumps through a pounding stepper of a rhythm, with a seriously addictive nasty-ass bassline Keep an eye on him, if this release is anything to go by, he’s got a lot more tricks up his sleeve.
