Oh, boy. They're actually doing X2 and apparently it's supposed to be focused on the lore. Given how absolutely rushed the X1 comics were, I have no faith for these, given they are once again only six issues. I'm also predicting one of these three things will happen:

1. They don't include the fourth female member of the X-Hunters who was omitted from the game due to memory limitations at the time.

2. They do include her, but she's overly sexualized and perpetuates the femme fatale/female villain trope.

3. They replace her with X-Kai because they're trying desperately hard to make XDive bs canon.

Oh, and here's yet another retelling of the events before X1! Why is this even necessary when we already have The Day of Sigma OVA and Dawn of X and the X Factor side stories from Archie? This is incredibly redundant and I expect it to be just as boring as the X comics.

Apparently, this is supposed to focus on how Zero became a Maverick Hunter with a brand new original Maverick joining the cast. I am so sick and tired of the constant Zero glazing at the expense of X, especially since this is supposed to be X's story. Not only in the fandom, but in licensed content and games as well.

This is entirely out of my usual blogging but I couldn't stop thinking about this, however this isn't a drawing so it's not going on my main either.

Anyways, I kept wondering how old X would be by the time x8 rolled around so I tried doing the math and that didn't really go anywhere due to some games not having proper time frames (including X8) HOWEVER, when I checked the wiki for X's age during X1 I only found stuff about his activation age which means he had to have been an entirely different age by the time X1 rolls around other than what I originally had assumed at least. So I ended up digging out the Cane journals from when he discovered X.

To begin we have to assume X was around 14-15 mentally when he was first activated, in Cane's journal it says that he opened the capsule on April 14th which means I'm gonna use that as a rough "birthday" standpoint for X,

during the journal it says that he started building reploids in November and then we jump from that to May where production on reploids began, which means it's a new year already

then july happens and we get our first 3 mavericks which is past April meaning X is now 15-16.

We get another jump to November where through a conference decision they finally decided to create the maverick hunters and a huge jump where it's December and cane says that it's been 2 years (I'm aware the official English one says 2 months but that's dumb like genuinely dumb in every way to me so I'm willfully pushing that under the "The localization is at it again!" rug) if we add the 2 years he's 17-18

The very last entry happened in July where sigma goes maverick which means it's another birthday passing which would mean X is roughly 18-19 by the time X1 happens!

What does this mean? Nothing really I just thought it was neat to learn how long it took between X's Discovery, the actual creation of reploids and to the events of the first game.

Take everything I have shared here with grain of salt tho, especially since the games can be incredibly unclear on these things we really can't be 100% certain and also don't trust the English localization of these games!
