Daddy Stops Everything.

You realize that you’ve gone too far. Your stomach flutters, beads of sweat surface as hot pinpricks on your back. Your instinct is to beg, but you can’t admit that you deserve this. Whatever you say just makes it worse: “Daaad, come on. I didn’t do anything.”

The First Swat.

You’ve forgotten how it feels, but it all comes rushing back along with his palm. Your pajama pants muffle the sound and the pain, so it’s more of a thump than a smack. But nothing can muffle the embarrassment you feel, laying across Daddy’s lap like a helpless little boy.

You Become Overwhelmed.
