A Paris holiday! Crowley would regret this, even though it was his idea, until he got some booze into him. Worth it to see his best angel so happy.

I wonder how Crowley would feel when he saw the news Notre Dame was up in flames, watched as the wooden spire collapsed in real time through the roof of the cathedral in a ranging inferno. Would he think back to their holiday, how they stood outside and admired the view, recall the naive throwaway line from his angel “not as though it’s going anywhere?” 

Crowley and Aziraphale have seen the world without a structure of any kind, without humans. They’ve watched the first mud huts be built, watched grand civilizations rise and disappear entirely. By the grace of Whomever, sometimes structures endure, and those things are beautiful in their resilience. But even if all the structures burn, they were there. They saw them, they marveled, they fell in love with humans a little more. Whatever burns, they know more will come, as lovely as any before.
