Little Girls Are Better At Designing Superheroes Than You is a project where superheroes are drawn based on the costumes of young girls.

This superhero is Kailee as Super Alice with her sidekick Wonder Chicken, a rubber glove Vampire chicken! She blasts bad guys with her laser gun when Wonder Chicken scares them to her and if she needs to she also has a big sword and kungfu to use. Once the job is done then they both fly away to the next place they are needed! Her boots make her run super fast and she wont get bad guy guts on her!

Super Alice is hella bad-ass. Eat your heart out, American McGee!

Hello you wonderfully patient people! Ted and Alex are still hard at work, but in the meantime, we’ve managed to line up some commissions from super-talented pals!

First up is this adorable selfie of Lucia and Chrysalis from the amazing inverts ! Chrys’s shapeshifting powers means she can always stay in style, but she keeps a closet full of accessories for special occasions. Maybe Lucia will make that feather boa a permanent part of her superhero costume?

The wild packs of Wahlbergs that normally roam the streets of Boston will face a powerful adversary tomorrow, as mayor Martin J. Walsh has declared Thursday, April 9, 2015 to be Riot Grrrl Day in the city.

We know we’ve been a little quiet lately, and that’s partly because we’ve both been busy with other projects: Alex is working on her submission for the OATH anthology, and Ted has several issues of My Little Pony in the works. But we’ve also been doing a lot of work behind the scenes, and we’ll let all you lovely readers know what’s going on as soon as we can!

In the meantime, please enjoy this sample of one of the layouts from our first draft, showing Lucia experimenting with her newfound powers:

AND as a special bonus, here’s a strip Ted drew to illustrate Riot Grrrl and Blue Streak’s friendship! (Please keep in mind that Ted is the writer, not the artist, so this strip lacks the quality you’re used to from us. Rest assured that the final product will be much better-looking!)

Lucia and her friend Nat are in a train car when it suddenly comes under attack by a supervillain. Fortunately, Chrysalis and Boltslinger of the Starlights are on hand to save the day!
