okay so I don't actually think this is like, set in stone but also, I mean, it would be cool

but my thoughts/headcanon/what I would like them to do given I do not remember shit about tos and whatever is said in that show, but end of s4, destruction of the uss farragut. maybe "tomorrows enterprise" will be a dimension/alternate reality thing like "yesterdays enterprise" from tng, or like, maybe it's setting up the rest of the future crew of the uss enterprise

like, it's tomorrows enterprise, 'tomorrow'=future

and we know we're getting Bones and Sulu in s5 so if the farragut is destroyed, it leaves Jim without his ship or a set future, maybe they introduce Bones and Sulu in the finale, maybe not idc, but that setting up for a Jim arc over s5 before the show ends, setting up a "year one" sorts - though like, I don't think that show is getting made but my point stands tbh

like we don't know what happens to the farragut beyond what we've been shown in snw, and apparently Pike is capatain until 2262, which is a year later than where the show is currently up to (ignoring like, stardates and that apparently snw and tos overlap which can't possibly happen idfk) so like, another two seasons over the course of a year or two??
