explain this to someone before november 5
With Biden taking the lead in Georgia, I want to reiterate again how absolutely incredible Stacey Abrams is. After having her election stolen from her in 2018 by the Republicans in power, she registered and mobilized record numbers of new voters. She champions grassroots campaigning for voters. And she turned her state, a state with a horrific history of voter suppression, blue. I know votes are still being counted, but this phenomenal shift is because of the monumental efforts of Stacey Abrams.Â
And make no mistake, Biden taking the lead in Georgia and both Senate races going to the runoffs are because of the incredible voting efforts of Black people, especially Black women.Â

This wasnât a government stunt to try and avoid doing something meaningful, but a coming together of community artists who did it for free. Which is why itâs the best.
And itâs not even finished in that shot!
It really is stunning art. I hope they keep this block closed to vehicles for a long time.

Every letter is a separate brightly colored piece of colored art. 2) A Tweet by James Saint-Franc @sirjamesa12 âEvery single letter was designed by black artists from the Seattle area.â 3) A still shot of the same street art completed. Last year, The HRC (Human Rights Campaign), reported that in 2019 alone, at least 26 trans and gender nonconforming people were killed in the United States alone. Disproportionately, Black trans people were the victims. Those I have illustrated here, do not even scratch the surface of what is, and should be recognised as, an epidemic. Now, more than ever, it is crucial that we do whatever we can to support the black trans community.Â

Native Americans dancing around a dethroned Columbus statue was the content I didnât know I needed today
transcript:
âWe talk about love, we talk about humanity. We must see the human factor. Our foundation is human, not sex. [audience applause] It is not about us saying to someone else, that I accept you or I tolerate you. You do not have the power to accept or tolerate me. I take that from you. You will respect me. [audience applause] So to each of you: my community dies every day, whether itâs from HIV and AIDS, or from transphobia or homophobia. I ask you, consider this: that is a human being. Weâre all human beings. Itâs about inclusivity, and I will never ever ask any of you for respect; I will demand it. [audience applause] You will not tell me that you accept me. You will not tell me that you tolerate me. That is not your power. I take that from you. You will respect me for who I am.â
