Sparks Nevada is only the best

Just a small update to the character art for Hush, my tabaxi Ranger. They got in a small spot of bother with a man eating plant, almost getting killed for their curiosity. Thankfully the rest of the party were able to rescue Hush, and they only received some small acid burns to the their legs for the trouble.

This is Rhapsody the one frog band, and Bo the rubber duck.

Rhapsody is a bard, they sing, they dance, they tell bad jokes. They’re a triple threat.

Rhapsody and Bo travel from town to town doing their routine, busking for money. No takes care of the accounts, does all the negotiating, is Rhapsody’s biggest critic but also his oldest friends. Bo also features in a few of the songs Rhapsody performs.

Rhapsody isn’t in a campaign yet but I plan to use him in something one day. This is honestly my favourite piece of character art I’ve done so it would be a shame for them to sit on the shelf and never go on an adventure.

So for Bruce my premise for the design is a Bruce Wayne who has all the brains, willpower, and drive as regular Batman, but just isn’t physically capable of becoming a brick wall of a man. So he’s much more rogue-like in design, with a bigger emphasis on stealth and gadgetry to accomplish his goals. His fighting style is basically “avoid fighting if at all possible, and if not then incapacitated as quickly as possible” with a lot of dirty fighting and using the enemy’s momentum against them (He’s actually….. a lot like Catwoman in that way? Maybe they bond over flexibility training tips (…that wasn’t intended to be a euphemism)). Additionally he looks perpetually pale and sick because of how little sun/sleep he gets, He uses a lot of bronzer when he switches to “Brucie”.

For Diana my concept was basically the same as canon but BIG. Ehehe I’m joking, a bit more went into it then that, but making her look like the ideal of an ancient Greek athlete was the biggest goal. I tried to make her look more mediterranean, with olive skin and hazel green eyes, and that gorgeous nose you see in ancient Greek art. Also more classical Greek elements in her armor (im not a historian I did my best) and I really liked the torso eagle from earlier WW designs so I incorporated that too. Her civilian style is supposed to be very casual/comfortable but stylish and professional, and her golden sword necklace can turn into an actual sword so she’s always ready for action!

WAIT WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT WASNT INTENTIONAL?!?? SHE WAS INTRODUCED RIGHT OUT OF THE GATES WITH EXTREMELY FORMAL SPEECH PATTERNS, SPECIAL INTERESTS, NOT BEING CLUED INTO SOCIAL CUES, ETC.

Brennan was asked a question about Ayda that included thanks for how great the representation is or something like that, and he was like "yeah that wasn't intentional. I wanted a Sherlock Holmes-type really intelligent but not great with social skills character, and i took a lot of inspiration from some friends of mine"
