Ngl, I didn't like Cyberverse on the whole, but one thing I enjoyed immensely was what they did with the world building. That should be the standard for world building, that is the standard I aspire to.
Children's oppression and lack of humanization is one topic that makes my insides feel like they're rotting and I'll die on the hill of defending them and pointing out how fucking gross it is every single time people act like it's cool actually to hate a group of people who are the least able to defend themselves in any terrible situation
Y'all will scream "protect queer kids" "protect trans kids" "protect kids of color" then forget all that and proudly stand behind "well kids are fucking annoying in public actually so it's fine when I talk about wanting to have grocery stores and planes that are child free :)" individualism has killed humanity so deeply
I just wanna point out that one of the reasons it really fucks with me when people say hateful nasty shit on THIS post or put words I never said on it is because this is a vent post that broke containment.
I was not exaggerating when I said this makes my insides feel like their rotting. This shit made me cry hard and deep yesterday morning before school. I keep having autistic people taking THIS post and saying "yeah well I hate kids bc of sensory issues" while ignoring my own autistic pain and trauma about this issue. I am not able to just ignore shit or move on bc my brain doesn't function right. And yall are gonna sit here making me want to kill myself on my vent post where I describe a real feeling of pain and sickness while telling me how you deserve your autism accommodated by erasing a group of people from the public. Fucking evil motherfuckers. It feels like a sword rushed through my abdomen, and people see that and run forward with their own swords to jam into me while giving me the most pretentiously formatted essay on why they're right for hating kids
The amount of people who have read the original post and decided I am an oppressive mother with a child trying to force kids into their Adult Spaces when I literally said grocery stores and airplanes. I'm a sex worker who doesnt have kids. You all fucking deserve to be locked in your homes away from the public actually, not kids and their parents. Fuck you.
Don't think I have autism, but layers of noises in general do get to me sometimes, like in a bus for example. Regardless, I will put the headphones on and blast something or leave. Invest into 5 quid headphones, instead of hating on kids or teens. I know some peeps who don't understand/don't realise they're being loud, one is sixteen now and the other is around 14, they genuinely are not being loud out of a lack of discipline either but would you ban them from public spaces too, one of them is also autistic? dabwax is very much correct. I will try to control my younger relatives because you deserved to not be harassed or have a sensory overload but people don't understand that it takes people a minute to get them to stop.
Worst are the Insta comments. How insecure do you need to be to want to 'put a plastic bag' over a baby's head? (Tbh babies and toddlers shouldn't fly unless absolutely necessary bc of the air pressure difference). I am also sickened by this too.
Why Are People So Weird About Children?
I was on Instagram and saw a post about a baby playing with painter's tape on a plane, no residue, not ridiculous amounts of tape and I think the mother/parents were going to clean it up (my only worry would be them not checking for dropped pieces). I looked in the comments and whilst half were positive or sharing advice in case there were loud kids, e.g headphones, there were some interesting comments about kids in public, like "leaving your sp*rm pets at home" (sorry for censuring I just dk how strict Tumblr is on this). I understand if this was distruptive Ipad kids or bringing kids to child-free weddings, but it was being aimed at relatively well behaved kids just EXISTING in public. So I just wanted to do this pole out of interest.

If you live near a green space or close to a friend's house you can hang out there. Tbh I would prefer a mall or roller rink sometimes, but a random field is enough most important is that squad is together. Also, ignore the old peeps if you can (I understand this isn't always an option, bright colours and picnic blankets can make sure you aren't 'threatening').

Yeah, I sort of peaked at 11 in writing style. After first lockdown hit and I was so snowed in with work it seemed to go downhill. Maybe you could write about it? It helped me deal with it?

Flight frame bed time stories would be insane to a grounder, amongst all the usual fairytale shenanigans that would be pretty common everywhere, you would have cautionary tales. TBF warnings exist in every fairytale (don't trust strangers like in Little Red Ridinghood or Hansel and Gretel), but I imagine this old Seeker dude getting a bunch of sparklings together and telling them about Skydust who got arrogant and without training flew into strong turbulence and died. With different flight frames they stories would vary due to different specifications (a shuttle, a seeker and a Tarnish flight frame don't fly the same because they're different planes).
