Chan
His baby :( his baby is in pain and he needs to help somehow
That’s what goes through his head when you text him
Takes so much effort to not stop what he’s doing and sprint to find you
I feel like he’s so organized in the rest of his life that he of course has a calendar or some way of knowing when to check in
Always makes note of what your main symptoms are, makes sure to know if you tend to get grumpy or emotional in some way so he can comfort you
:(( His goal is just to keep you comfortable
His cooking slaps so hard when you’re on your period, will make some absolutely delicious food that’s good for you but also gets/makes some incredibly indulgent foods too. Whatever you want. Always whatever you want. Always.
Tucks you up into his arms and holds you as long as you need, he’s staying up to make sure that when you inevitably wake up either in pain or needing to throw up he’s there for you
Holds your hair up and rubs your back :(( hates seeing you this sick
Practically carries you back to bed, he would carry you everywhere if you let him
Tucks you back in and lays his hand over your stomach again, kisses your forehead/shoulder/any available piece of skin he can reach until you’re asleep again
Lee Know
Bro is cooking up a storm in that kitchen
He’s making sure you don’t skip meals, he’s making sure you aren’t missing any crucial vitamins especially when your body needs it so badly
“Jagi. Eat.” Simple words for a simple man. His lover needs to eat, what else can he say
“Jagi, a few more bites. Just a few.” He’s so. He’s so soft :(( Holds the spoon for you and holds the bowl and keeps it all nice and warm
Has somehow trained the cats to sit on your stomach and make biscuits where it hurts, finds you with them draped over you and smiles (takes a photo too)
Keeps you super hydrated, keeps water bottles filled and next to the bed and couch
Will stay with you when it starts to pick up and get bad over the next few days, makes sure you’re in bed or lying down most of the time in case you pass out

His back rubs :(( need them rn

He will do everything he can think of, and if you request something he is doing it immediately without question (And making a note of it somewhere for next time)

Whispered praises against your skin, whispered reassurances that you aren’t ugly or gross, that he loves you ughsghghgjhsgdfhgdfsdfgs I’m making myself cry
Every single complaint you have or question that might sound ridiculous is met with the softest and sweetest reassurance that it isn’t a stupid question and then followed by tenderest answer
I know for a fact that he took that “Would you still love me if I was a worm” question entirely too seriously lmaoo
Expect some of the gentlest sex you’ve ever had, soft and slow and so so tender (If that’s something you’d want, of course)
His voice is so honey sweet when he praises you, his hands everywhere, both easing pain/discomfort and providing the slowest orgasm, melting your cramps out of you until you’re comfortable enough to fall asleep

He knows your preferences, he knows what to buy and where to get it (they all do)
He knows what he’s doing, and what he does he does well trust me on this
He panics when you throw up the first time, didn’t realize that periods could get bad enough to cause a reaction like that
But when he realizes it’s actually that serious and not just cramps… brother does he leap into action
He’s ordering food, he’s collecting the softest blankets from the living room and making a cozy little nest for the two of you in his bed, he’s tossing clothes into the dryer to get them warm
You have some weird ass food craving or request? Hell yeah he can make that happen
His hands are so warm on your stomach and his body is so warm against yours, probably puts on Howl’s Moving Castle for the two of you to watch
Rests his chin on the top of your head so he can watch, presses leetle kisses to the back of your head
Falls asleep with you in his arms. His hand is still making sure the hot waterbottle he got you stays in place even while asleep
Felix
“Oh no, your nipples hurt? :((( Can I suck on them?” No! (But actually…)
If chocolate helps you please know that you will have a quantity of brownies in your possession that’s so big it could probably feed a small militia
Making sure you are warm, making sure you are fed, making sure you are taking meds, making sure that there is a trash can nearby in case you need it
He’ll lay his head on your stomach and wrap his arms around your waist and tuck the blankets up around the two of you.
Felix = space heater
Look up at you with the softest eyes and sweetest voice.
“:( Does it still hurt, Angel?”
Presses soft little kisses to the available skin he can reach, massages your hips gently to try and ease the discomfort
Will attempt to cook, I fear he may end up ordering food … But he’ll do the baking!! Don’t worry about that!!
Seungmin
Is he a little unsure of what to do? Yes! Does that mean effort isn’t put in to take care you? Absolutely not!!
If anything he puts in more effort because he wants to make sure he’s someone you can rely on when you’re feeling like absolute crap
Holds your hair back, helps you into the shower, helps you out of the shower, helps you into clothes, helps you out of clothes (you get the idea)
He’ll wait outside of the bathroom regardless of what you’re doing in there .. just waits until you’re out so he can help you back into bed
Takes pictures of the brand of pad/tampon/whatever you use so that he can grab more when you run low
Rubs your thighs gently, smooths his palms over your stomach slowly and makes sure the heating pad is flush with your back
Talks quietly with you, tries to distract you however he can
Keeps a thermos of tea next to the bed so he doesn’t have to keep getting up and leaving you to make another cup
Refuses to leave your side after he sees you pass out the first time, wide eyes and lowkey terrified that you’re injured somehow and he didn’t notice
Even more observant and serious, will not let you exert yourself
Jeongin
Mf with big hands over here. Hands that are so nice for keeping cramps away omg
Will keep you in his arms for as long as you need, and much as you need
One of his hands is going to stay pressing up against your lower belly, exactlyy where you need it
Be warned. It’s going to be absolutely radiating heat, he somehow managed to accumulate the heat of a small oven onto his palm and it’s all to soothe the evil evil cramps that are haunting your body at the moment
His other hand is pressed up against your lower back and doing practically the same thing, except it’s massaging your aching spine nice and slow. Niceee and slowww
His face is pressed into the back of your neck, eyes closed and frowning faintly.
“Poor thing :(( You’re so tense, baby.”
Won’t stop until he can feel you relax, at least a little bit
Orders food, texts the other members to go get specific foods you request (Maknae privileges ..)

I can see TSUKISHIMA being really into hardcore thrillers. The more gruesome the book, the more he's going to like it. He ruins Yamaguchi's day when he talks about what he's currently reading, and he tends to go into extreme details because he enjoys watching the blood leave his friend's face. One time he did it when Yamaguchi was having a bad day and Yamaguchi burst out crying and he decided to leave him be for a couple of months. Loves loves loves the Hanniball series.
YAMAGUCHI mainly reads sad romance books, like Nicholas Sparks. He hates crying but at the same time it's the only effect that makes a book worth it, in his opinion. As a result, he both loves and hates reading and never gets through more than one book every month. His favorite book - and most hated one too - is A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks.
YACHI is a romantasy warrior. She isn't picky about the quality either: she'll read everything that has a fantasy base and a dash of romance in it. Actually, her preferred ratio is 95% romance and 5% fantasy. She's not afraid to voice her tastes despite how questionable they are because reading is supposed to be fun, not a chore. She reads AT LEAST six books every month and is the type who doesn't want to get out of her comfort zone. She doesn't like standalones because they don't give her the time to get attached to the characters, which is the most important experience she looks for in a book. Doesn't have a favorite book series but if she had to pick, she would mention the Once Upon a Broken Heart series (she didn't like Caraval though) by Stephanie Garber and The Remnant Chronicles by Mary E. Pearson.
KAGEYAMA doesn't like reading and actually deems it a waste of time, but he doesn't mind athletes' biographies because he's interested in the way people rise to greatness. He thinks he doesn't need to buy a whole book for that so he just... googles the athletes and reads articles about them, I guess???
TENDOU has the weirdest and most random reading taste a person could ever come up with. First of all, The Book of Answers is his best friend. He carries it with him everywhere and he trusts it with important life decisions. How do you guys think he became a chocolatier?? He was presented with the opportunity to attend a chocolatier course, took out his little friend, opened it to a random page and the sentence was: FACE IT BRAVELY, so he did. Other than The Book of Answers, his reading taste can be summerized in Bunny by Mona Awad and Dostoevskij. Nobody really knows what's going on with him. [Technically, The Book of Answers isn't something that you can sit down and actually read but I mentioned it because Tendou would mention it too if he was asked about the books he likes to read.] Yes, his favorite book is Bunny.
KUROO likes nonfiction books but also horror literature. He wasn't always into the latter, but he started appreciating the genre during his university days, when he had to find an alternative to nonfiction: he had to read textbooks for his courses already and couldn't bring himself to do it during his free time too. He gives me the vibes as someone who prefers the psychological side of horror because he's not a big fan of supernatural stories. He doesn't have a clear favorite but whatever work by Stephen King will do. He especially enjoys the collections of short stories.
BOKUTO only reads half an hour before a match because he doesn't want it to become a recurring occurence. It's not that reading makes him lose braincells - despite what people may think, he's capable of enjoying some literature every once in a while -, but he mostly owns motivational books which he uses to fire himself up, so he's scared that they'll lose their power if he goes over them too often.
OIKAWA doesn't want to waste his time with dramatic stories and tragic characters. He likes silly romance and YA fantasy with poor worldbuilding and plot holes that he's never going to notice anyway because he just shuts his brain off when he reads. He used to read a lot of sports romance back in high school, but then the tropes started hitting a little too close to home and he had to drop the genre to avoid embarrassing situations... Anyway, his favorite books are The Greene Sisters series.
I picture IWAIZUMI as someone who doesn't read that much, but when he does it's mostly mystery books with simple to mildly-elaborate plots. He enjoys Agatha Christie, Dorothy L. Sayers and Rex Stout, so pretty classic authors.
AKAASHI's main go-to is literary fiction but he indulges in some dystopian too. Divergent and Shatter Me are his guilty pleasure. He isn't really into fantasy but he read the A Song of Ice and Fire series and it's still his whole personality.
SUGAWARA is most definitely the snobby kind of reader who only takes classics seriously and thinks poorly of other genres. He may say it with a friendly and mild smile on his face, but his opinion is that romance and fantasy books aren't real books. He doesn't criticize people who enjoy them because he's just not like that, but he throws some subtle comments at Yachi whenever she's telling him all about her new reads. His favorite books are The Setting Sun by Osamu Dazai and The Sailor Who Fell from Grace with the Sea by Yukio Mishima.
ASAHI likes upbeat poetry about nature and domestic occurrences. One of his favorite poems is The Orange by Wendy Cope, and all her works in general.
ATSUMU read Ghost Beach, the twenty-second book in the Goosebumps series, when he was eight. He cried every night for two weeks straight and decided to banish the act of reading from his life.
OSAMU doesn't read a lot but he has a crazy culture on cookbooks. Owns an unhealthy amount of them and consults them religiously. He refuses to learn some recipes by memory because the whole experience of opening the book and following them step by step is incredibly dear to him.
ARAN has two very different sides to his reading taste: contemporary books (the genre he settles with when someone asks him about the book he typically reads) and trashy victorian romance (a secret you won't pry even from his cold dead hands). One thing about him, he's a loud advocate for fantasy haters. He thinks it's the most stereotypical and boring genre. Nobody really knows if he really means it or if he's just trying to be different.
KITA thinks that short stories of any kind are the best way to enjoy some literature because he doesn't have the will to commit to a whole novel. His favorite collections are Kokoro by Natsume Soseki and Shiver by Junji Ito.
SUNA is into pretentious philosophical books that are vague and talk about everything and nothing at the same time. He has the vibes of the philosophy student without the student part, and lacking the stereotypical ostentatious nature too. He just likes pondering about life and death and what it means to be human without pushing his constant rumination. Likes anything by Nietzsche and Kant.
HINATA screams adventure books, specifically the oldest works in the genre like Tarzan and The Three Musketeers, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea and Around the World in Eighty Days. His favorite book is pretty surprising though, because it's The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexander Dumas. Anyone who finds out doesn't believe him at first - because cmon, does he look like the type of person who would go through a 1300-page french classic? - until he starts reciting actual quotes from the book like it's as easy as breathing. He read it in the span of three years though, and it's the whole reason why he hasn't picked up anything else for a long time. When he went back into reading, he was suffering from homesickness in Brazil so he just reread it, this time so much faster that he was impressed with himself for a moment.
KENMA doesn't read much. When he does, he doesn't go out of his comfort zone, which is sci-fi but mostly videogame retellings. Is a proud owner of the entire Assassin's Creed book series. He read only the first one because each scene made him overthink about the kind of moves he'd used to complete the tasks. As a result, it took him four to five business days to read a chapter alone.
SHIMIZU is a thriller lover but also enjoys contemporary books. She's never grown out of her love for coming of age stories, despite the fact that she's not a high schooler anymore. Sometimes she treats herself to some middle grade fantasy too.
PAIRING: Skz ot8 x fem!reader (romantic)
GENRE: comfort, fluff, established relationship, period cramps, lots of care & cuddles, no smut.
BANGCHAN
Everything hurts and you don’t even know if the pain is coming from your stomach, your back, or just the sheer bad mood of having to exist today. You’re curled up on the couch, phone in hand but not really paying attention to anything. You’ve been together for a couple of years now, and even though you still try to hide it, he’s long since figured out your “bad days mode”.
You hear the door and, out of habit, you try to put on a neutral face.
— What’s with that face…? — Chan’s voice dies halfway through the joke as soon as he really looks at you.
He doesn’t need more than that. You can see in his expression that he’s already put all the pieces together. He comes closer without his shoes on, drops his backpack somewhere, and sits next to you carefully, as if the couch were made of glass.
— Does it hurt a lot? — he asks in a low voice, almost whispering, like when he talks to someone he doesn’t want to wake up.
You mumble that yeah, it came again, that you’re in a bad mood, tired, and that you don’t want to be a burden. He frowns, serious, like you’ve just said something deeply unfair.
— Hey, none of that — he says, touching your forehead gently, with no medical reason, just because he likes to have some kind of contact with you —. You’re not a burden. You know these days are hard on you. And being here is important to me, it’s not an obligation.
You don’t even bother asking what he’s going to do; after all this time, you can almost predict it. He heads straight to the kitchen; you hear the microwave, running water, drawers opening, and in the background, that soft playlist he always puts on when he wants the house to feel safe.
He comes back with a glass of water, a hot water bottle wrapped in a cute cover, and some cookies you know he saves for “special days”.
— I know it’s not a buffet, but it’s something — he jokes, setting everything down on the coffee table.
He sits beside you and places the hot water bottle on your lower belly with extreme care, watching your face in case you show any sign of discomfort.
— Is that okay? — he asks, looking right into your eyes.
You nod, feeling the warmth spread little by little. He leans back too, resting against the couch, and, like it’s already almost a ritual on these days, he opens his arms without saying a word. You fit yourself there, your head on his chest, like you’ve rehearsed it a hundred times.
— When I was a trainee — he starts, playing with your hair —, I always worried about the female staff when they said they were on their period. I didn’t really get it, but some days they looked awful. Later I started looking things up because… I don’t know, it bothered me not knowing how to help.
You glance up at him from the corner of your eye.
— You, googling “how to help someone on their period”? — you ask, already knowing that story but enjoying hearing it again.
— Yeah — he smiles —. And all the results were really obvious, but in the end they helped. Heat, water, snacks, zero stress…
He lowers his voice and adds, in a whisper only you can hear:
— And lots of cuddles. That part wasn’t on the internet, I added it myself.
He kisses your hair and turns the TV down a bit, leaving it in the background while you listen to his heartbeat, steady and familiar.
— We’ve been doing this together for years — he murmurs —. You already know that on these days you just have to exist. I’ll handle the rest: reminding you it’s okay to rest, it’s okay to be sensitive, it’s okay to not be able to handle everything.
And there, resting against his chest, you finally let your shoulders drop. It’s not the first time and it won’t be the last, but every time it feels just as necessary.
LEE KNOW
You notice it even before he says anything: Minho watches you from the other side of the room with those curious, worried eyes he only gets when he sees something off about you. You’ve been together for a couple of years now, so the way you frown, the longer-than-usual silences, the way you move a little slower… for him, they’re crystal-clear signs.
— Do you feel sick? — he asks, coming closer with a glass of water in his hand, something he pretty much brings by default on days like this.
— A little… — you mumble —. You know, those days.
There’s no need to say more. He nods, like he’s just confirmed something he’s been suspecting since the morning, and sets the glass down in front of you.
— Drink a bit — he says, with that mix of order and affection that’s so him —. You know it helps.
He turns off the bright light without asking and switches on only a warm little lamp.
— That light always bothers you when your head hurts — he says, without needing you to explain.
He comes up behind you and his fingers brush the back of your neck, massaging very softly. You feel the tension loosen a little, like it always does.
— Come — he tells you —. Let’s go to bed for a while.
You already know the way. He walks in front, you follow him, and by the time you realize it, you’re already under the covers. Minho disappears for a moment and comes back with a warm gel pack and a small plate with something simple.
— I didn’t bring you anything sweet because I know your stomach hurts more after — he explains, sitting on the edge of the bed.
He leans in and carefully places the warm pack on your stomach, adjusting your shirt so it doesn’t burn you. His hands are incredibly gentle, like when he pets his cats.
Then he gets up again and leaves the room without a word. You hear a couple of meows, tiny footsteps, and a moment later he comes back with one of his cats in his arms.
— I present to you… your natural hot water bottle — he says, with a half-smile.
He lies down next to you and, very gently, sets the cat on your stomach, on top of the blanket, making sure it’s not too heavy. The animal, already used to seeing you curled up like this on these days, settles down on its own, a warm little ball.
— Look at this cutting-edge technology — he jokes —. Heat, purring and therapy included.
He pulls a laugh out of you that you didn’t even know you still had today. He catches it instantly with his eyes, satisfied.
— Do you want some space, or should I stay with you? — he asks, even though he already knows the answer most of the time.
— Stay… — you mumble.
He lies down beside you, on top of the blanket, and gently pulls you until your head is resting on his chest. One hand stays on your waist, the other pets the cat and, through the blanket, your stomach as well.
Silence stretches out, comfortable, until he’s the one to break it.
— Even after all these years, I still hate seeing you in pain — he confesses quietly —. I wish I could take it for a while so you could rest.
You laugh softly.
— You wouldn’t last a day.
— Probably not — he admits, without ego, looking at you tenderly —. That’s why I at least try to make up for it. I can be your heater, your pillow, your chef, and now your official provider of therapeutic cats.
His tone is neutral, but you know him, and you know he’s being much sweeter than he lets on. You feel his hand on your back follow a slow, almost hypnotic rhythm, while the cat purrs on your stomach, warm and calm.
— If you wake up and need anything, just call me — he adds —. You know I’ve got “nurse boyfriend mode” on 24/7 for days like this.
And so, between the cat’s warmth, his solid chest and his quiet presence, the pain becomes just a little more bearable.
CHANGBIN
The day is already going pretty badly, but the last straw is the pack of pads slipping from your hands and falling to the floor just as you walk through the door. You stare at it with a mix of anger and exhaustion. And right at that moment, Changbin shows up, ready with a joke on the tip of his tongue, but he swallows it as soon as he sees your expression.
— Hey, hey, hey — he says, coming over quickly —. What happened?
You bend down to pick up the pack, mumbling something about your period, how everything hurts, how you’re done with this. Changbin crouches down with you, picks it up and sets it aside without making a big deal out of it, like it’s just another everyday thing.
— Okay, got it — he nods, completely unfazed —. Today is one of those days.
You’ve been together for years now; he doesn’t panic like he did at the beginning, but the worry is still obvious in his eyes. He straightens up and looks you over from head to toe, quietly assessing you.
— Have you taken anything for the pain? — he asks bluntly.
— No… not yet.
— Then start with that — he says, not really leaving room for argument.
In a few minutes, he’s already in the kitchen, rummaging through drawers, opening the fridge, moving around without making too much noise. You hear him talking quietly to himself, mentally organizing a plan.
He comes back with a glass of water and the painkiller you usually take, plus something simple to snack on.
— First this — he says, pointing at the pill —. Then we can talk about the rest of the world.
You sit on the couch and he drops down beside you, but doesn’t get too close at first, waiting to see if you want contact. When you lean into him out of pure habit, he smiles a little and wraps an arm around you gently, careful not to put pressure on your stomach.
— Come on, let’s set up base — he announces.
And he starts his improvised ritual: pillows all around you, a blanket over you, the TV on with something light playing, and the table stocked with water, snacks, and the remote within your reach.
— I want you to imagine you’re playing the game on hard mode today — he says very seriously —. Your HP bar is low. I’m the support character. I restore HP with this — he lifts the blanket —, with this — he adjusts you more comfortably against his chest — and with this — he shows you a hot water bottle.
He places it over your lower belly carefully, watching your face to make sure it’s not too hot.
— If you feel like crying for no reason, you can cry — he adds —. If you get mad over tiny things, that’s allowed too. Just don’t keep it all to yourself, okay?
You laugh a little, because his dramatic “caregiver mode” is funny even when you’re in pain. He turns the TV volume down and starts stroking your arm with slow movements.
— You know… — he murmurs —. It frustrates me sometimes, not being able to do more. But if I can at least make you feel a bit less miserable, I’ll take it.
He leans in and presses a soft kiss to your forehead, no theatrics, just gentle.
— So, complaint number one, whenever you’re ready — he says —. I’m all ears if you want to rant about biology.
Curled up against his chest, you think it’s not a magical fix, but it’s the closest you’ve ever felt to being truly taken care of on a day like this.
HYUNJIN
Since the morning, Hyunjin has noticed you’re different. You walk slower, talk less, make little faces when you change position. He doesn’t say anything right away, just watches you from his corner, paintbrush in hand, like he’s studying a complicated painting.
The confirmation comes when you curl in on yourself and press a hand to your lower belly. A quiet sigh escapes you.
— Does it hurt? — he asks instantly, putting the brush down without even wiping it.
You nod, tired, explaining that your period started and you feel drained. Hyunjin comes closer, kneels in front of you so he’s at your level, and rests his hands gently on your knees.
— I’m sorry… — he murmurs —. I can see it in your face. Must be a heavy day.
He pauses for a second, like he’s organizing his thoughts.
— I’ll go get something warm, okay?
He doesn’t wait for your answer before disappearing into the kitchen. After being together this long, he doesn’t ask obvious questions anymore; he just moves. The kettle, the clink of a mug, a cupboard opening as he looks for something light to go with it.
When he comes back, he’s carrying a tray: a cup of tea, a small sweet treat, and a bottle of water. He sets everything on the coffee table, neatly, like a tiny altar so you won’t have to move too much.
— Drink a little — he says, sitting down beside you —. And if you feel like having something else later, tell me.
He stays quiet for a few seconds, watching you out of the corner of his eye. Then, with a slightly shy gesture, he asks:
— Can I sit a bit closer?
You nod and shift to the side. Hyunjin moves nearer, just enough for you to rest your head on his shoulder if you want. You do it almost without thinking. He exhales, like something inside him slots into place too.
— Can I put my hand here? — he whispers, glancing down at your stomach without touching it yet.
You give him permission and he lays his hand there very softly, without applying pressure. His fingers trace slow circles, almost like he’s drawing something invisible.
— I read that sometimes this helps calm it down a bit — he says —. I don’t know if it’ll do much, but I want to try.
He starts talking to you about ordinary things: a new choreography, a video he watched, an idea he has about painting your portrait one day when you have more energy. His voice is low, rhythmic, trying to distract you without making you talk too much.
— If at some point you want me to shut up, just tell me — he adds —. I won’t take it personally.
— No, I like listening to you — you answer, eyes still closed.
He smiles a little. With his free hand, he tucks a loose strand of hair behind your ear.
— When we first met, this made me really nervous — he admits —. I was scared of saying something stupid, of sounding insensitive… But you’ve been guiding me.
He leans in and rests his forehead against yours for a second.
— I can’t make the pain stop — he says honestly —. But I can promise you won’t go through it alone. I’ll hug you as much as you need, talk nonsense, bring you tea, stack a thousand pillows… whatever it takes.
And there, with his warm hand on your belly, his shoulder solid under your cheek, and his voice filling the quiet spaces, the pain is still there, but it feels a lot less intimidating.
HAN
You’re stretched out on the couch, a blanket over you and an expression of total defeat on your face. Han walks in with that usual energy of his that fills the whole room, but he stops dead in his tracks when he sees you.
— Did the couch eat you? — he asks in a soft tone, trying to make you laugh without being too much.
— The cramps did — you answer, not very energetically.
He lifts the blanket a little to see your face. As soon as he notices your watery eyes and tired expression, his whole face softens.
— Period? — he asks, straight to the point.
You nod. There’s no need for more explanation; by now he recognizes that “mode” instantly.
— Okay… — he sighs —. Activating crap-day protocol.
He first sits on the edge of the couch, like he’s testing the waters.
— Do you want anything right now? Water, tea, something salty, sweet… silence?
You end up asking for something warm to drink. He nods and goes to the kitchen. You hear him moving around, humming under his breath, opening and closing cupboards. He comes back with a hot drink, a simple snack, and a makeshift hot water bottle.
— I don’t know if I’m a genius or a disaster, but look — he says, placing it on your lower belly with extreme care —. I tried, that’s what counts.
Then he climbs onto the couch with you, letting you rest your head on his chest if you want. You shift a bit closer, seeking his warmth. Han smiles, stroking your shoulder with a light hand.
— Okay, new mission — he announces —: distract your brain from your guts.
He pulls out his phone and starts showing you stupid videos, memes, clips of things he knows usually make you laugh. He laughs loudly on purpose, exaggerates his reactions, imitates voices. Anything to pull at least a small smile out of you.
— I know you’re sensitive right now — he says at one point —. So if you suddenly cry over a dog video, or get mad at me because I dropped a crumb on the blanket… it’s fine.
— It’s fine? — you repeat, doubtful.
— It’s fine — he confirms, suddenly serious for a second —. These days your emotions are like… turned all the way up. I’ll help you turn the volume down a bit, but I’m not gonna tell you to “calm down”.
He presses a small kiss to your temple and stays quiet for a while, just tracing slow patterns along your arm with his fingers.
— When we first started dating — he confesses —, it kind of scared me to see you like this. Not because you did anything weird, but because I didn’t know what to do. Now… I’m not saying I’m an expert, but I think I’m better at just being there.
He looks down at you with real tenderness.
— If you need me to talk, I talk. If you need silence, I shut up. If you just want me here breathing next to you… I can do that very well too.
The TV hums quietly in the background, his fingers draw little shapes on your skin, and his chest rises and falls under your cheek.
— And if at some point you feel like telling everything to screw off — he adds —, you can start by ranting to me. I’m not going anywhere.
And suddenly, between a dumb meme, the sound of his laugh and his careful arm around your waist, the day feels a little less heavy.
FELIX
Felix notices something’s off from the moment you get up. You’ve been together for a couple of years already and, even though you’re good at pretending, your “bad days” are almost as clear to him as if you were wearing a sign. You’re slower, quieter, your shoulders slumped.
When he sees you put a hand on your stomach and squeeze your eyes shut in pain, it just confirms what he already knew.
— Hey, baby — he says in that soft voice of his —. It started, right?
You nod, trying to play it down, but he’s already in automatic caretaker mode. You don’t need to explain much; at this point he has a pretty good idea of what usually helps and what you can’t stand on days like this.
— Okay — he says, serious but gentle —. Felix Plan number… I lost count.
He heads to the kitchen and in a few minutes the house starts to smell nice: tea, something warm. He comes back with a steaming mug and a plate of cookies he baked a few days ago, the ones he keeps especially “just in case you have one of those days”.
— I knew they’d come in handy — he smiles, setting them down in front of you —. They’re soft, the way you like them when you feel like this.
He disappears again for a second and comes back with a big blanket.
— Come here — he says —. Let me wrap you up a bit, yeah?
He drapes the blanket over your shoulders, adjusting it like he’s settling a cape over you. His hands are warm; his presence is even warmer.
— Couch or bed? — he asks —. You choose.
You end up on the couch, you curled up like a burrito inside the blanket and him pressed gently against your side. Felix slips an arm around you, holding you close to his chest.
— Hurts a lot? — he whispers, already kind of knowing the answer but wanting to hear it from you.
— Quite a bit… — you admit.
Without saying anything, he shifts behind you so you’re lying on your side and starts massaging the lower part of your back with slow, steady movements, right where the pain sometimes radiates.
— Tell me if you want me to change the pressure — he says.
It works. Not like a miracle, but between the warmth of his hands and his nearness, you feel less trapped in your own body.
— You know you don’t owe me anything today, right? — he murmurs —. If you don’t want to talk, you don’t. If you want to cry, you cry. If you just want me to hold you and that’s it, then that’s what I do.
He places a small kiss on the top of your head, leaving his lips there for a few extra seconds.
— After all these years, I think I’ve got your manual — he jokes softly —. Chapter one: don’t minimize your pain. Chapter two: remind you you don’t have to be strong all the time. Chapter three: cookies.
He makes you laugh a little, and he goes very still, like he doesn’t want to scare that laugh away.
— I really admire you — he says, more serious now —. Honestly. To keep going every month even though it hurts so much… that’s not a small thing. Let me be your safe place, especially on days like this, okay?
And in that mix of his low voice, his warm hands and the smell of cookies, the world feels, once again, a tiny bit more bearable.
SEUNGMIN
You’re sitting at the table, staring at something on your phone without really seeing it. The book lying open beside you has been on the same page for a while. Seungmin walks past, stops for a moment, and watches you in silence. After being together this long, he doesn’t miss details like that.
— Are you feeling unwell? — he asks, resting one hand on the back of your chair.
You sigh.
— Yeah… My period started and I’m kind of wiped out.
He nods slowly, like he’s fitting together pieces of something he’d already half-figured out.
— Have you taken anything for the pain?
— Not yet.
Seungmin doesn’t say anything else; he just goes to where you keep the meds and comes back with what you know works for you, plus a glass of water.
— Here — he says, setting it down in front of you —. You don’t have to tough everything out with no help.
He’s practical, straightforward, but the way he looks at you is gentle. He waits there until he sees you take it, then adds:
— Come on, let’s go to the couch. Sitting up straight like that probably isn’t helping.
You get up and follow him. He walks ahead a little, arranges some pillows, turns off the main light and switches on a softer lamp. He leaves a blanket within arm’s reach, just in case.
— Do you want me to sit with you? — he asks, without acting like some over-the-top caretaker.
— Yeah… — you answer honestly.
He sits beside you, leaving a small gap between you at first, out of habit. You lean into him and rest your head on his shoulder. That’s all it takes for him to scoot a bit closer, aligning his body to yours. He pulls the blanket over your legs.
— I’ll put something calm on — he says, scrolling through the TV menu —. You don’t have to follow it, it’s just so the silence isn’t too loud.
He settles on something soft and leans back a little, careful not to move too much and bother you.
— When we started dating, I kind of thought you were exaggerating a bit with all this — he admits, without dramatics —. Not because I didn’t believe you, but because I didn’t understand. But after seeing you like this so many times, I shut down any dumb thought before it even arrives.
His hand comes to rest on your forearm, his fingers making short, rhythmic strokes.
— If you feel like talking, you can vent — he adds —. If not, we can just stay like this. I don’t need you to be “fine” to enjoy being with you.
You find yourself telling him how tired you feel some months, how unfair the whole process feels. He listens in silence, only nodding from time to time.
— It makes perfect sense for you to feel that way — he says when you’re done —. You’re not being weak, or dramatic. You’re tired. And you have every right to be.
He tilts his head slightly to rest his cheek against your hair.
— I’m going to try my best to always be patient with you on these days — he murmurs —. And if I’m ever not, tell me. I’d rather learn than make you feel worse.
His voice is calm and steady. The TV noise fades into a distant murmur. His hand keeps up those small movements, like he’s marking a rhythm for your mind to settle into.
And there, with his quiet company, his steady logic and his discreet affection, you feel like you don’t have to justify being unwell. He already got it.
I.N
Jeongin comes into the room with a smile, but he stops short when he sees you curled up, holding your lower belly with a pained expression. You’ve been together a couple of years now, and even though at first he had no idea what to do when your period came, now he recognizes instantly the way your shoulders hunch and how you go quiet, staring at nothing.
— Darling… — he calls you softly —. Did it start again?
You nod, explaining that you’re tired, uncomfortable, weighed down by that strange heaviness in your body. Jeongin listens carefully, nodding like he’s going over everything he’s learned from you over the years.
— Okay, so… — he says, almost reciting an idea he’s got memorized —: warmth, something light to eat, company… and zero guilt.
He comes closer and sits on the edge of the couch, right beside you.
— Do you mind if I hold your hand? — he asks, even though he already knows you usually say yes on these days.
You tell him you don’t, so he takes your hand in his, warm and a little clumsy, like always. His fingers weave between yours carefully.
— I swear I try to remember everything you’ve told me — he murmurs —. At first I was really lost, but I’m getting better, right?
You nod, and you can see his eyes brighten a bit, proud.
He gets up and goes to the kitchen. He already knows what kind of tea you like, which mug you like to drink it from, what kind of food your stomach can handle when you feel like this. He comes back with everything on a tray: your tea, something very light to snack on, and a blanket folded over his arm.
— It’s not my favorite blanket or anything — he says with a little laugh —, but it is the one we always use when you’re not feeling well. I feel like it’s become the “emergency blanket”.
He lays it over you with that sweet awkwardness he still hasn’t lost, even though he’s got more practice now. Then he sits down again and looks at you fondly.
— When we first started dating, I was scared of saying something dumb about all this — he confesses —. But you taught me little by little. Thanks for being patient with me.
He squeezes your hand a little.
— I don’t know exactly what it feels like, but I do know one thing: you’re not exaggerating. And I’m never going to tell you “it’s not that bad” — he says firmly —. If it’s hard for you, then it’s important to me.
He puts something soft on TV, the kind of show that’s already become a tradition to watch together when you feel like this. Every now and then, he glances sideways at you to check if your breathing is calmer.
— If you need me to stay awake with you, I will — he says —. And if you fall asleep, I’ll stay right here anyway. I don’t care if my arm goes numb as long as you get some rest.
He laughs quietly at his own comment, but he never lets go of your hand.
And with his mix of still slightly clumsy care, now trained by time and love, you feel that growing together also means this: learning, messing up less, and above all, staying by each other’s side when it matters most.

BANG CHAN ☁︎ 방찬 !
Chan notices something's off before you even say anything. You've been quieter than usual, and he catches you wincing slightly when you shift on the couch.
"Hey, you okay?" he asks softly, pausing his work on his laptop.
When you admit you're on your period, he immediately closes his computer and gives you his full attention. "What do you need? Heating pad? Medicine? Food?"
He disappears into the kitchen and returns with a perfectly prepared care package: your favorite snacks, a water bottle, painkillers, and a heating pad he somehow knew exactly where to find. Chan settles beside you, pulling you gently against his chest.
"I read that certain pressure points can help with cramps," he says, his warm hands finding the small of your back and massaging in slow circles. His touch is confident but gentle, and you feel the tension melting away.
Throughout the day, he checks in constantly without being overbearing, adjusting pillows, refilling your water, and queuing up your comfort shows. When you apologize for taking up his time, he cups your face tenderly.
"Taking care of you isn't taking up my time—it's exactly where I want to spend it."
LEE MINHO ☁︎ 이민호 !
Minho's approach is practical and efficient, though his concern shows in subtle ways. When you tell him you're not feeling well, he simply nods and gets to work.
"Sit," he commands, pointing to the couch with the authority he usually reserves for his cats.
He returns from the bedroom with the softest blanket, tucking it around you with surprising care. Then he's in the kitchen, and you hear the rhythmic sounds of chopping. Twenty minutes later, he presents you with a perfectly plated meal—warm, comforting food that he knows you love.
"Eat. You need strength," he says, sitting beside you with his own plate.
What surprises you most is when his three cats suddenly surround you, as if on cue. Soonie curls up on your lap, Doongie settles by your feet, and Dori claims the spot beside you.
"They know when you need comfort," Minho explains, and you catch the smallest smile on his lips. "I may have also told them to take care of you."
He stays close all day, not hovering but always within reach. When a particularly bad cramp hits and you curl up in pain, his hand immediately finds yours, squeezing gently. He doesn't say much, but his presence is steady and reassuring—exactly what you need.
SEO CHANGBIN ☁︎ 서창빈 !
Changbin transforms into full protective mode the moment you mention you're on your period. His eyes widen with concern, and he immediately pulls you into the gentlest hug, as if you're made of glass.
"My poor baby," he coos, his voice uncharacteristically soft. "Tell me what hurts. I'll fight your cramps."
He literally acts out punching the air, making exaggerated fighting noises that make you laugh despite the discomfort. Mission accomplished—he grins at the sound.
Changbin insists on carrying you everywhere, even just from the couch to the kitchen. "You need to save your energy!" he protests when you say you can walk. His arms are so strong and secure that you eventually just let him, enjoying the princess treatment.
He runs to the convenience store and returns with bags full of everything: every type of pad and tampon "just in case," chocolate, chips, ice cream, and even a stuffed animal he thought was cute.
"Binnie, this is too much—"
"Nothing's too much for you," he says firmly, already opening the ice cream.
He spends the evening doing aegyo to make you smile, showing you funny videos, and telling you stories about the members to distract you. Every time you wince, he's immediately at attention, ready to help in any way possible.
HWANG HYUNJIN ☁︎ 황현진 !
Hyunjin's romantic soul goes into overdrive when you're not feeling well. He creates an entire atmosphere of comfort around you.
He dims the lights and lights your favorite candles, puts on soft music, and arranges an elaborate nest of pillows and blankets on the bed. "Come here," he says, patting the space beside him.
Once you're settled, he pulls out a face mask. "Self-care time," he announces, gently applying it to your face with careful, artistic precision. His fingers are feather-light on your skin, and his focused expression is adorable.
"You're still so beautiful, even when you're uncomfortable," he murmurs, brushing hair from your forehead.
Hyunjin then offers a massage, and his long fingers work magic on your tense shoulders and aching lower back. He's researched techniques specifically for period pain, and it shows. He's patient and attentive, checking in constantly about the pressure.
He sketches while you rest, and later shows you a drawing of you sleeping peacefully. "This is how I always want you to feel—calm and safe."
When you get emotional (hormones are wild), he doesn't judge or dismiss your feelings. Instead, he holds you close, wiping your tears and validating everything you're feeling. "It's okay to cry. I've got you, always."
HAN JISUNG ☁︎ 한지성 !
Jisung is initially a bit panicked when you tell him you're on your period and in pain. His eyes go wide, and he looks around as if searching for answers.
"Okay, okay, what do I do? Tell me what to do!" he says, hands hovering uncertainly.
You can't help but laugh at his flustered state, which makes him relax a little. Once you give him some direction, he's off like a shot, determined to be helpful.
He makes a pharmacy run and texts you photos of the painkiller aisle: "WHICH ONE? THERE ARE SO MANY. WHY ARE THERE SO MANY??"
When he returns successful, he's proud of himself and insists on reading all the instructions carefully before giving you the medicine with water.
Han tries to cheer you up the way he knows best—by being himself. He makes silly jokes, does impressions of the members, and shows you funny memes he's saved. When you laugh, his entire face lights up.
"There's my girl," he says, booping your nose.
He stays glued to your side, occasionally asking "Still hurting?" with such genuine concern that it's endearing. Han might not have all the answers, but his effort and his presence make everything better.
LEE FELIX ☁︎ 이 필릭스 !
Felix goes into full nurturing mode, his natural warmth amplified by his concern for you. His first instinct is to bake.
"I'm making your favorite brownies," he announces. "Chocolate helps with cramps—and even if it doesn't, it'll make you happy."
Soon the apartment smells amazing, and he presents you with warm, gooey brownies and a glass of milk. He sits cross-legged on the floor beside the couch, watching with satisfaction as you eat.
"Good?" he asks, his eyes crinkling with his smile.
Felix's voice becomes even softer and deeper than usual, almost therapeutic. He tells you stories, reads to you, or just talks about anything to keep you distracted. The rumble of his voice is incredibly soothing.
He runs you a warm bath with bath salts and essential oils, testing the temperature multiple times to make sure it's perfect. "Take your time. I'll be right outside if you need anything."
Later, he cuddles you close, his natural warmth like a personal heating pad. His hand rests gently on your lower stomach, and somehow his presence alone seems to ease the discomfort. He plays with your hair, humming softly, until you drift off to sleep feeling completely cared for.
KIM SEUNGMIN ☁︎ 김승민 !
Seungmin's approach is calm, logical, and surprisingly sweet. When you mention your period, he doesn't make a big deal out of it—he just quietly takes action.
He does research on his phone about what helps with period symptoms, then creates a practical care plan. "Hydration is important. Drink this," he says, handing you water at regular intervals throughout the day.
He sets reminders on his phone for when you need to take pain medication, making sure you don't miss a dose. "Consistency is key," he explains matter-of-factly.
Despite his practical nature, there's tenderness in the way he does things. He brings you tea at the perfect temperature, adjusts the air conditioning when you mention feeling too warm, and doesn't tease you even once (which is how you know he's really worried).
"You're being so nice to me," you observe.
"I'm always nice to you," he protests, then adds more quietly, "But you're in pain. Of course I'm going to take care of you."
When you get frustrated or emotional, Seungmin listens patiently. He doesn't try to fix your feelings or tell you not to feel them—he just validates them with a simple "That sounds really hard" or "I understand why you'd feel that way."
His steady, reliable presence is exactly what you need. No dramatics, no fuss—just Seungmin being there, competent and caring.
YANG JEONGIN ☁︎ 양정인 !
Jeongin is sweet and a little shy about the whole situation, but absolutely determined to help. He pays attention to everything, trying to learn what makes you feel better.
"I asked my mom what helps," he admits sheepishly. "She gave me a whole list."
He follows that list diligently: preparing a heating pad, bringing you comfortable clothes, making sure you have plenty of water. He's like a dedicated student of Taking Care Of You.
Jeongin stays close, scrolling through his phone and showing you cute animal videos that he's saved specifically for this purpose. "Look at this one—it's a baby otter!" His enthusiasm is infectious.
When you need to laugh, he tells you embarrassing stories about the hyungs, complete with impressions that make you giggle. When you need quiet, he simply holds your hand, rubbing gentle circles on your palm with his thumb.
"Are you comfortable? Do you need anything?" he checks in regularly, his face earnest and concerned.
At one point, he brings you a care package his mom sent over—special teas, snacks, and a note that makes you tear up. Jeongin hugs you immediately, a little panicked by the tears but trying his best.
"Don't cry! Unless you need to cry—then that's okay too," he says, patting your back awkwardly but sweetly.
His genuine care and effort make you fall for him even more. He might be the youngest, but he makes you feel completely taken care of.

The dorm was unusually quiet that night. It was well past midnight, and most of the boys had gone to sleep hours ago. The faint hum of the refrigerator in the kitchen and the soft buzz of a streetlamp outside were the only sounds keeping the silence company.
You sat cross-legged on the couch, wrapped in a light blanket, scrolling aimlessly through your phone. Sleep just wouldn’t come, no matter how many times you closed your eyes. The dim light from the lamp above made the living room feel small and safe, as if it existed in its own bubble, away from the rest of the world.
“Can’t sleep either?”
The voice came from behind, quiet but warm, and you didn’t even need to turn around to know it was Minho. His tone had that familiar blend of calm and teasing, the kind that always made your chest loosen.
You looked up and found him standing there in an oversized hoodie and sweatpants, his hair messy, clearly having given up on trying to tame it before bed. He rubbed his eyes lazily, then padded barefoot toward the couch.
“Not really,” you admitted, shifting to give him space. “What about you?”
Minho sighed as he sank down beside you, his shoulder brushing yours. “Cats were running around in my head.”
You blinked. “You mean… like actual cats or your thoughts?”
“Both,” he said with a faint smile, leaning back. His eyes glinted in the low light, and there was something softer about him at this hour—something that rarely showed itself during the day.
For a while, you just sat in comfortable silence. The kind of silence that didn’t need to be filled. You could hear the faint patter of rain starting against the window, slow and rhythmic.
“You ever think about stuff too much at night?” Minho asked suddenly, turning his head slightly toward you.
“All the time,” you said, laughing softly. “That’s literally why I’m awake right now.”
“What kind of stuff?” His voice was curious, not pushy, like he actually wanted to know.
You hesitated, then shrugged. “Everything. The future, what I said during the day, if people actually like me, if I’m making the right choices. You know… overthinking.”
Minho nodded slowly, his lips pressing into a thin line. “Yeah. Same.”
The way he said it made you pause. Minho wasn’t the type to admit things like that easily. Usually he joked his way out of deeper topics, throwing a sarcastic comment or rolling his eyes. But tonight felt different.
“What about you?” you asked quietly. “What’s on your mind?”
Minho leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees. For a moment, he didn’t answer. The rain outside grew steadier, filling the gap. Finally, he exhaled.
“Sometimes I think I don’t… do enough,” he said, his voice low. “Like, no matter how much I try, there’s always more I should be doing. For the group, for the fans, for myself.”
Your heart tugged at his words. Minho was always so composed, so sharp. It was strange and almost fragile to hear him speak like this.
“Min,” you said softly, “you do so much. More than anyone realizes. You’re—”
He cut you off with a small shake of his head, his hair falling over his eyes. “I know. But it doesn’t stop the feeling.”
Without thinking, you reached out and brushed the strands away from his face. Your fingers lingered for a second longer than they should have, and his eyes met yours, searching.
“I think…” you began, your voice quieter now, “sometimes the people who care the most feel like they’re not doing enough. But the truth is, they’re the ones who already give more than anyone else.”
Minho’s gaze softened, and a small smile tugged at the corner of his lips. He leaned back, his shoulder pressing against yours again, this time deliberately.
“You always know how to say the right thing,” he murmured.
The warmth of his words spread through you. The late hour, the rain, the closeness—it all blurred into a kind of intimacy that felt too delicate to name.
He shifted slightly, pulling the blanket draped over you so it covered him too. “This is better,” he said simply.
You couldn’t help but laugh. “You’re stealing my blanket.”
“Correction: sharing,” he countered, his tone playful but his eyes still gentle.
The minutes passed slowly, comfortably. You found yourself leaning into him more, your head resting lightly against his shoulder. He didn’t move away. Instead, he tilted his head to rest against yours, the weight grounding you both.
“Don’t tell anyone I said this,” Minho murmured, his voice almost lost to the sound of rain, “but… nights like this? They make me feel like everything’s okay. Even if tomorrow I start overthinking again, right now, it’s… quiet.”
You felt your chest tighten, not in a painful way, but in that warm, overwhelming way that comes when someone trusts you with the parts of themselves they hide from the world.
You wanted to say something, but words felt too small. So instead, you just slipped your hand into his under the blanket. His fingers stiffened for half a second before they relaxed, curling around yours with surprising gentleness.
Neither of you said anything after that. You didn’t need to.
The rain kept falling, steady and soft, like a lullaby for just the two of you.
The silence stretched, but it wasn’t uncomfortable. It was the kind of silence that wrapped around you like a second blanket, steady and familiar. Minho’s thumb brushed idly over your knuckles under the shared cover, a motion so small and unconscious it made your heart skip.
You turned your head slightly, studying his profile. His eyes were half-lidded, lashes brushing his cheeks, his expression softer than you’d ever seen it.
“Hey,” you whispered.
He hummed in response, not fully opening his eyes.
“Do you ever wonder… what life would be like if you weren’t doing what you’re doing now?”
That made him blink, finally turning his head toward you. His face was only inches away, and for a moment, you forgot to breathe.
“Sometimes,” he admitted. “But then I think—would I even be me without all of this? Without them? Without… you?”
Your throat tightened. “Me?”
He smirked faintly, though it lacked his usual sharpness. “Yeah, you. Don’t act so surprised. You’re part of my life now, whether you like it or not.”
You laughed quietly, your cheeks warming. “I think I like it.”
His gaze lingered on you, longer than necessary, and for a split second, you swore the world outside the window could’ve disappeared and neither of you would’ve noticed. The rain had softened to a drizzle, the city lights glowing faintly through the wet glass.
Minho shifted closer, enough that your knees brushed. “You know,” he said slowly, carefully, “you’re… different from most people I know.”
“In a good way, I hope?” you teased, trying to ease the tension building in your chest.
“The best way,” he replied without hesitation. His voice was low, steady, and it left no room for doubt.
Your heart thudded. He wasn’t teasing. Not this time.
“I don’t say stuff like this often,” he continued, eyes flicking briefly to where your hands were still joined under the blanket, “but… I feel like I can breathe around you. No expectations, no performance. Just… me.”
You didn’t realize you’d been holding your breath until you let it out in a shaky laugh. “That’s exactly how I feel with you.”
His lips curved into the smallest smile, one that reached his eyes. “Good. Then we’re on the same page.”
The two of you sat like that for what felt like forever—close, wrapped in quiet confessions and unspoken feelings. At some point, you shifted until your head rested fully on his shoulder. Minho didn’t move away; instead, he adjusted so you were more comfortable, his cheek brushing lightly against your hair.
“You’re warm,” he muttered, almost like a complaint, though the way his body relaxed into yours betrayed the truth.
“You’re welcome,” you whispered, grinning against his hoodie.
Time blurred after that. The clock on the wall ticked past one, then two. Neither of you seemed to notice. The conversation drifted between silly tangents and heavy confessions—about childhood memories, fears, little dreams you hadn’t told anyone else.
At one point, you asked, “What’s one thing you’ve never told the others?”
Minho hesitated, his thumb stalling against your hand. Then he exhaled.
“I’m scared of being forgotten,” he said finally, so softly you almost didn’t hear. “Like… one day I’ll just fade out of people’s lives, and they won’t even notice.”
Your chest ached. You lifted your head just enough to meet his eyes. “That won’t happen. Not to you.”
“How can you be so sure?” he asked, his voice half a whisper, half a plea.
“Because,” you said firmly, tightening your hold on his hand, “you matter too much. To me, to the others, to everyone who knows you. Even if you tried, you couldn’t disappear. You’ve already left too much of yourself behind—in people, in memories. In me.”
His breath caught, and for a moment, neither of you moved. Then, slowly, Minho leaned in, just enough for his forehead to rest against yours.
“Don’t forget that you said this,” he murmured. “Because I’ll hold you to it.”
Your heart pounded, but you didn’t pull away. Instead, you closed your eyes, letting the closeness soak in.
Minutes, maybe hours passed like that. By the time dawn began to creep through the blinds, the blanket had slipped down, and both of you were half-dozing on the couch. Minho’s arm was around you now, his hold loose but protective, like he was afraid you’d vanish if he let go.
You stirred slightly, blinking at the pale light. “Morning already?” you mumbled.
Minho groaned softly, burying his face in your shoulder. “Don’t remind me.”
You giggled, running your fingers gently through his messy hair. “We should probably get up.”
“Five more minutes,” he muttered. Then, quieter, “Or forever. That works too.”
Your chest swelled with warmth. You pressed a soft kiss to the top of his head before you could stop yourself. He froze for half a second, then tilted his head up, eyes shining with something unspoken.
“Did you just—”
“Yes,” you interrupted, cheeks flaming.
He studied you for a long moment, then smiled, slow and real. “Good. Because I was going to do it first.”
Before you could process, he leaned in and brushed the lightest kiss against your temple, lingering just enough to make your heart race.
“Late night talks,” he murmured as he pulled back, “might be my new favorite thing.”
You laughed softly, tucking yourself closer into his side. “Mine too.”
And as the sun rose higher, painting the room in gold, you realized that some nights—some conversations—were enough to change everything.

You just stepped into the shower when you heard the bathroom door open and watched in confusion as your husband carried a kitchen chair inside.
"Hi.", you said tentatively.
"Hi back."
"Uhm, babe, I love you, but… what are you doing?"
"You wanted me to catch you up on everything, so that's what I'm gonna do."
You had just returned from a business trip about 10 minutes ago and everything you wanted to do was have a nice hot shower, then snuggle up to your husband and enjoy the weekend by not moving an inch. But you figured, when you asked him to tell you about his day, he'd… wait until you were on the couch together.
"I-", your frown turned into an incredulous chuckle, "You know what? Okay. Hit me."
You turned on the water as he got comfortable, reaching into a bag of snacks he had brought - not without running appreciative eyes over the soft round body he had been deprived of for a whole week.
"As I was saying, there I was. In the produce aisle, trying to decide between cherry and heirloom tomatoes. I know we always get both but-"
