FILMING TREK FIC - WRITERS WANTED

So. A pal and I were thinking of ideas to film a short something, and it was suggested that we make it Kirk and an original character(s). One idea was to film a scene from something fan written (with permission), or a novel. The focus being on performance/character chemistry and story/subtext.

Do any moments or scenes spring to mind? We don't have a Spock but it could be alluding to his relationship with Spock (a subtext, we feel, present in a lot of his interactions, even with others in the series). Or some other struggle/crisis Kirk is wrestling with.

Of course, if anyone wants to write something original, especially if you can envisage it coming to life on screen, we'd love to take a look!
