TWIN SCYTHES AU. for this au only, i’ll be portraying an entirely separate character – soul’s ( @soulconsume ) twin brother. cue me drum rolling obnoxiously to present to you all: HEART ‘EATER’ EVANS!
heart is the older twin by about seven minutes, and they are 100% identical – however, heart is transgender. his deadname is unimportant, but soul was likely pretty involved in selecting heart for him; they both thought it sounded pretty bitchin’. besides, soul and heart, you know? matches. the continuation of ‘eater’ despite heart sharing the same literal meaning behind the nickname, it’s more or less a joke about the many girlfriends heart had in middle school. heart eater. womanizer phase. you know how it goes.
their weapon forms are also identical, however, where soul has red markings, heart has blue markings! the two of them are capable of wielding each other in a pinch, but neither are meisters by any means. it won’t be forced upon any maka that interacts with this au, but the ideal situation would be a dual-wielding maka. this can be worked out as we go.
upon arriving at shibusen / leaving their family behind, heart and soul made a pact to be there for each other – forever, for always. soul is absolutely the closest person to heart ( they’ve been attached at the hip for their entire lives ), but maka would likely come in close second.
the differences between them are pretty thick in all honesty, but they do have very similar demeanor and anyone who doesn’t know them intimately will probably be fooled by them when they switch places.
re: differences, mostly lies in personality? i haven’t entirely worked him out, but heart is definitely a lot more in touch with his feelings / and in a way, a lot more… mellow? cautious. don’t get me wrong, he’ll hype up his brother any day of the week, but the enhanced focus / caution shows mostly in combat. the soul / maka dynamic is mostly unchanged, with the addition of a medium force to guide. follow your heart, huh? he’s more willing to talk about what’s on his mind, too.
he’s a little blunt, actually, but y’know, overall a good guy.
re: switching places and their rs overall; think of a dynamic similar to the weasely twins.
heart is not affected by the black blood directly, but their link in weapon form does probably cause some complications? they definitely have some mind of mental link but anyways.
