When he confronts Emily with a power larger than her, or a power stranger than her, he does not bother trying to intimidate her. He knows she will look his gods in the eyes and speak to them with understanding. He knows that she will not shy away from touching what shouldn’t be touched if it means she learn from it. He may not know what she will do exactly (she is a bit of wild card) but you can always tell that he’s prepared for her to seek a connection and I love to watch it every time it happens. She is radical hope and understanding and pure unadulterated joy for what any world has to offer. Emily Axford and her role playing is fucking amazing.
