His teeth pressed against one other as he clenched his jaw. Daryllina the princess. Merle used to call him that. Just thinking about his name made Daryl want to kill something. He hated the weakness that gripped his heart each time he thought about a member of his family. & how fucked up was that ? He hated the girl for finding so easily his weakness, her finger pushing & poking at the wood carelessly, no idea of what she did. She kept babbling about whatever but this mind was focused on the comment she made earlier. He didn’t give a shit about her personal preference or whatever.
“Trustin’ mine ‘n mah group’s life too, girl. ‘n we goin’ at da prison.”
She could tell when a person was being hostile, and his hostility was so thick now, that she could feel it radiating from him. If hostility was a physical thing, she guesses she could probably cut through it with a damn knife. But she could most definitely hear it in his voice. That edge that told her she had clearly said or done something wrong.
( She had obviously trodden on a nerve... )
What or how, she didn’t know, but she D I D know that what she had done? It had obviously pissed him off...
“Calm down there Tiger... Sorry...” she said, raising her hands up in defense. “Whatever I did, I clearly didn’t mean to... Try not to sound like you want to bury a knife in my skull, will ya?”
she rolled her eyes, dropping her hands to her side again.
“Prison, huh? So are you && your group a bunch of prisoners?” she was kidding, of course. A prison was one helluva protected place. Designed to stop people getting out. Maybe it was pretty good at preventing walkers from coming in, too.
