Yes! This is the video! I’d read the quote about the kiss on The Office, but the link to the video was dead. But here it is! So many things are happening here that encompass things I love about Moffat. Wondering why his own character just said something that seemed weird to him. Saying that writer’s block just means you haven’t got it quite right yet. He seems to be in the camp that believes ideas exist and writers are conduits for them, and as such, he’s completely comfortable talking about his own successes, confidently yet without bragging. I love that he has a Weeping Angel in his garden because of course he does because he’s just a BIG NERD. That he’s excited by, instead of wary of, the inevitable technological changes coming to his profession. And like a massive TJLC-lens freak out alert for what he says about ASiB. It’s a good episode, sure, but seen as an episode of television that is completely capable of being interpreted one of two distinct ways, it may indeed be the best thing he’s ever done, and that Mark Gatiss knows it encourages me even more.

I love interviews like this, where people get to just talk about what they do. I agree with malachiteempress, more Moffat appreciation would be nice!
