And the show in Birmingham completely broke my heart. In my opinion, the modern version is devoid of the spirit of humanism. For the first time, I did not like Javert. And I was so upset that I donated Doneli flowers (although my old subscribers know that Kilian Doneli and his Valjean are not my cup of tea). My frustration is still so great that I canceled a trip to London this month. Les Miserables means a lot to me. It sounds pathetic, but this musical really changed my life, helped to end end my depression.And that makes me very, very sad. Hopefully in September I can watch Josh Davis in the USA.
