Here is a simple rule, eat when you are hungry and stop when you are full. Eat many different foods. There are no “bad” foods.

It’s not good for you to diet, skip meals or avoid entire groups of foods. If you do not eat lots of different kinds of foods, you may not feel well and could make yourself sick. Skipping meals can make Youso hungry that you eat too much food when you finally do have a meal or snack.

For:

• Commercially available methylated B vitamins that I need because my MCAS prevents me from absorbing any of the B vitamins from food and a gene mutation prevents absorption of traditionally sourced B vitamins (it’s so bad that if I take a traditional B12, I won’t absorb it and will be deficient but if I take methylated B12, I have to take a low dose or my body will store too much).

•For commercially available low histamine probiotic strains with digestive enzymes built in. Have you seen what the internet charges for those? It’s horrific. But because they kept demanding them, Vitamin Shoppe made their own that is remotely reasonable.

• For the free range, no antibiotics, steroids, or hormones added organic gluten free chicken nuggets I rely on because it’s one of the few proteins that I can eat safely and can also satisfy the low spoon requirement of ADHD and Autism. I’m glad the price hasn’t been jacked up on them, they’re just really difficult to find right now.

• Insisting meds and supplements don’t include unneeded colors, fillers, flavors, etc

Maybe it’s too late for Hong Kong, but you can still learn from what happened here. I hope you realise that you’re not alone, that your pain and yearning is shared by countless silent strangers, and that when enough people speak as one, you can move the needle of history. I’ve seen it happen.
