i was so excited and nervous about starting college again and i think i've been away too long

i prepared for hours, went through the textbook, did the problems and pre-class assignment, watched the videos the prof uploaded, i even asked my coworker for help and he explained some basic stuff to me

and in class i couldn't answer any of the questions right, i tried to follow along but i can't even remember how to calculate speed or what velocity means and all that

i asked the professor after class his opinion

he was extremely kind and gentle about it but he said i would need to do a lot of self-study to catch up and that there wasn't really any other classes to help prepare me for his class since his class is an introductory class

i had two other students who are in the same position as me stay behind and offer to help me, they said we can get together next class and study together but they already have the basics down, whereas i've forgotten literally everything fundamental
