Death is not pretty,

Grief is not pretty, it's rarely quiet and it has no grace.

Grief is denial, it's bargaining, it's anger, it's depression.

Acceptance is always late to coming.

The both boys went through it last night, words were said, no one got punched in the face or had their ankles nearly broken, I think they did very well.

It was painful and raw and real.

They are hurting, they will grow better and stronger together after having this difficult argument.

Because they are finally communicating.

this time, things got hard too. eddie pointed his finger in buck's face and he yelled and he was so so so angry. but instead of running, he brought his son home because he knew buck needed chris. he was able to push through everything else to be the partner buck needed. because buck was feeling isolated and like he was lacking connection, so eddie brought him family. family who may not be biologically related to buck, but who accepted him in their diaz ranks a long long time ago.

Respectfully, anyone in season 8 who's still saying Buck needs to be chosen is watching with their eyes closed and clinging to the wobbified no one ever loved me Buck from s2. Buck is constantly chosen. The problem with Buck is that people don't stay. Abby made the first move, Alli made the first move, Taylor made the first move TWICE, Natalia made the first move, Tommy made the first move. Buck only ever goes for people who made their romantic intentions towards him clear. They chose him. They just couldn't handle all the baggage attached.

Eddie, on the other hand, has never been chosen. He got married because of a baby, he went after Ana, he went after Marisol. His own child fled the state to get away from him, his parents absolutely suck, Shannon only started talking to him because she thought he was someone else and left him multiple times in multiple ways. And not to be an Eddie wobbyfier, but I think Eddie getting a swept of his feet moment, after a whole life of bending to the expectations people have on him and to finally be allowed to just be a guy in love with his best friend, is a lot more important than putting Buck into yet another relationship he didn't start and we don't know if he ended up in because he wanted to do it or because he just wants to be wanted too bad to question just because PoOr bAbY BuCk nEeDs tO Be cHoSeN.

As said best by Bobby on episode 9 of season 5 at timestamp 12:18, the thesis statement of Buck in relationships is "you just go with the flow and find yourself in a relationship with no idea how you got there" to allow Eddie to confess first is once again putting Buck in relationship he didn't make any movement to make it happen. Buck is passive in his own love life, he lets people come to him. If we want buddie to be different, he needs to work for it.

I'm sorry but the whole Eddie needs to choose Buck needs to be chosen stopped being true at the will reveal. EDDIE ALREADY CHOSE BUCK. BUCK IS THE ONE WHO NEEDS TO WAKE THE FUCK UP.

It is so incredibly difficult to word how complex faith is, there's a lot I could say.. But I guess to set the record straight, queer religious folk AREN'T your enemy. A queer religious person likely gets treated like shit just like you do, except now you're putting them into a position where they're simultaneously getting shit on by bigoted religious people AND the queer community that's supposedly oh so accepting of them.

This isn't even touching on how tunnel visioned you are that you forget how broad religion is in the first place. You guys DO know that when someone says "god", they might not be referring to the Christian god.. Right?? RIGHT?? (which is implying that major religions like christianity even have consistently AMONGST THEMSELVES like holy fuck they can't even agree on what day you're meant to go to church and what calendar is correct)

Anyways, I guess what I'm trying to say is that I love you Christian queers. I love you Muslim queers. I love you Jewish queers. I love you religious queers that fall outside the abrahamic religions: Taoists, Buddhists, Hindus.. I love you religious queers whose religion is too niche or unappreciated to ever come up. I love you religious queers who have many gods or no gods. I love you indigenous queers.
