I'd marry if there was a practical, financial, or family or personal security related reason for us to do it, but as it is, I don't feel it would add anything. But also nor that it would take anything from me, so it's not like I'm avoiding it.

The essence of the love in my relationship in confirmed by the fact that we have been together for all this time – have chosen to be, and keep choosing it. I do not feel I need my friends, family, or an institution on a state level to confirm or witness that more than the two of us do anyway.
