THE BOYYSSSS or dawGGGSSS... THE PUPS!!!!! (some Marshal rambles under the cut)
Ive had Medic Marshall in my brain sm lately. Think about it.. The most clumsy pup - aka the one most likely to get hurt and accidentally cause physical injuries to others - is the _medic_ . On an emergency/rescue team nonetheless!! The jobs gotta be never ending realistically speaking..... I imagine his frequent bumping into things, stepping on sharp objects and falling on his knees and paws repeatedly is what first taught him basic first aid. Just watching Ryder (or other medical personnel(?)) attend to his minor rashes, cuts, n bruises got him at par with standard procedure - and eventually his interest and knowledge was far built enough to really train up for the role. On an angstier note I bet he felt like he would 'finally be of more use' - i imagine Marshalls fairly insecure about how easy he ends up hurting his close ones with his clutz curse and learning how to atleast take care of the aftermath would make him feel more competent.... even if he does cause an injury - he will do everything he can to take care of them and ensure that they recover just fine.. He'd be so soft hearted, he's really trying his best out here... He cant undo or control his clumsiness but he _can_ do his best to clean up his messes, yeah? Nobody is un-cared for under Marshalls watch... 🥺💕
