aight but the general snk themes that resonated with me before for very grave and personal reasons:
the helplessness of being trapped at the mercy of monsters you don't stand a chance against yet ominously resemble you, just bigger and more powerful
(furthermore, the only chance you have against them are building walls they can't reach you and/or using sophisticated tools and strategies to get around them)
fighting with everything you have just to have a taste of freedom and risking being badly wounded or killed while doing so
fighting against the thought of being comfortable and complacent in your prison
characters that come from violence, erasure, abuse, and have lived to hold titles like Queen & Humanity's Strongest & Suicidal Bastard
(idc if it was meant to make fun of him, Eren's reputation for being hardheaded & stubborn was something i admired as someone who was conditioned into silence)
mean so much more to me now that eren's told ymir that she's free, so to everyone out there struggling with domestic violence and have found comfort in this series like I have:
you're free
you're free
you're free
you're free
you're free
you're no one's slave and you have the power to get out
idk how long ago i wrote this but i needed to hear it again
