What's your opinion about the Sashannarcy ships? 👀
You mean as in each pair?
Sashanne: It's more than just enemies-to-lovers, it's friends-to-enemies-to-lovers, and this makes a big difference.
I'm personally a big sucker for the we used to be friends trope, the idea of two (or more) previously close people being separated by circumstance ideology or what have you is really interesting to me, add reconcilation and romance to the mix and it becomes something really good.
Like: "We know each other, we've seen our best, our worst, we've hurt each other, we've gone our separate ways, we came back together, things will never be the same but we now have something more."
Basically it is passion, a type of passion like playing with magnets repelling and attracting.
Marcanne: This is sweet, soft, sacharinne, fluffness, like I'm getting cavities just thinking about it.
It is the dream most everyone has of dating your best friend, the person closest to you, the one you can truly be yourself with.
You've known this person since forever, so you don't need to put any barriers or pretend to be someone else, because they've seen you for who you are and that's why they like you.
And now you can be even more with them, precisely because of that.
Sasharcy: This one is interesting for a lot of reasons (among them that it became popular after "True Colors," like what the heck?), but if I had to describe it, it would be like understanding and solace.
Understanding as in "You understand me. There are people who know me, people I feel comfortable with, but you get me, we don't need words we simply click together."
And solace as in, we know each others faults, sins and mistakes. We can't really offer forgiveness but we can give each other solace, comfort in knowing we are not alone in our mistakes, because sometimes forgiveness is worst than punishment.
Sashannarcy (because of course I'll also talk about this): This one I simply adore, it is more than just the combination of the other three.
For me Sashannarcy is like a blessed rain that keeps droughts and wildfires at bay, it is the spice that gives flavor to a good meal, it is kind words and an outstreched hand that promises everything will be ok and that whatever bad things happen you can get over them.
It is a promise that you deserve happiness no matter the trails and tribulations, the time or separation, or whatever else life might throw at you.
Whew... I put a lot of thought into this.
