Put It Down
If you get tired of carrying a heavy mind, just put it down. You can go on with your life without all that added pressure. You can continue to be you and do whatever you do without all the struggle. If it is your way to worry about how you will manage things, put that down. Just manage. If you are not happy with what you have to do with your day, put that down and just go about your day. You will manage what you can manage, you will do what you do. That’s enough.
Each day brings with it a new opportunity to be. Each day offers another opportunity to express yourself in the world. It doesn’t matter who sees you. That you see you is enough. You are surrounded by love. You are filled with compassion. Whatever you are carrying that gets in the way of experiencing that, just put it down.
Your burdens will be there for you when you need them. We naturally carry grudges, past pains, future worries, judgements, fears and doubts. When we notice the extra weight though, it is good practice to put it all down. Spend a little time as light as a feather, or lighter.
We sometimes lose sight of what truly matters, you know love, connectivity. To share space with your person, and to fully embrace the warmth of their presence. It's a beautiful experience, that we all take for granted. I'll take more of that please.
Every one of us has been hurt by people we have cared for, and although we may insist we have forgotten all about it, we rarely have. To help ease any lingering pain, visualise them in the place of honour, and as you arouse bodhichitta, wish them everything that is good. If thinking about them continues to be painful, it is a sign that you have not let go of feeling they have wronged you. Try not to focus on it. Instead, admit to yourself that you are still holding on to your pain. Then concentrate on wishing them every happiness and long to take all their sufferings on yourself. And do bear in mind that for those who are really serious about practising the dharma, difficult relationships provide the most fertile ground for practice.

"When we are afraid of ourselves and afraid of the seeming threat the world presents, then we become extremely selfish. We want to build our own little nests, our own cocoons, so that we can live by ourselves in a secure way.
But we can be much more brave than that. We must try to think beyond our homes, beyond the fire burning in the fireplace, beyond sending our children to school or getting to work in the morning. We must try to think how we can help this world.
If we don't help, nobody will. It is our turn to help the world.
At the same time, helping others does not mean abandoning our individual lives. You don't have to rush out to become the mayor of your city or the president of the United States in order to help others, but you can begin with your relatives and friends and the people around you. In fact, you can start with yourself. The important point is to realize that you are never off duty. You can never just relax, because the whole world needs help."

There are many distinguished scholars who try to interpret as far as the intellect can what nirvana means... They will say that nirvana is the annihilation of the ego concept; but this definition is far from adequate... Nirvana is really an awakening, which is the meaning of the Buddha’s name: “One who is awake,” from the root budh, “to wake up.” What happens is you wake up from separateness into the whole – from being a fragment to being the indivisible whole... A Buddha is one who becomes aware of the wholeness of life and lives for the welfare of all. Yes, from the negative side, nirvana means you are completely empty of yourself. You have to empty yourself completely of all your likes and dislikes, of your selfish attachments, your self-will, your petty personal desires... So nirvana is emptiness. But it is also complete fullness. In order to be full you have to empty yourself completely of yourself... The intellect can never understand this. The only way to understand nirvana is to experience it...
