After spending a week within the Marquis Zhang residence, Lin (name) had to admit something
Life here was… unexpectedly comfortable
Although she was merely a concubine, she was currently the only woman living in the inner courtyard
There were no jealous wives, no scheming noble ladies, no exhausting daily battles for attention
Her days were peaceful Quiet Luxurious
And honestly?
She was enjoying it far more than she should This was also the reason the original Lin (name) had become so arrogant and spoiled in the novel. After all, she had been personally chosen by Zhang Lei
The most powerful man in the empire after the Emperor himself. With such status backing her, the original Lin (name) had grown increasingly overbearing, believing herself untouchable. She acted shamelessly pampered, throwing tantrums and ordering servants around as if she were already the legitimate Marchioness.
Until 'that woman' appeared. According to the novel, after one of his journeys outside the capital, Zhang Lei would return with a young woman he had “rescued”
That woman was, of course, the heroine. Pure-hearted, beautiful, gentle the exact opposite of Lin (name).
Zhang Lei would treat her with unusual care, sparking the original Lin (name) jealousy. Driven by insecurity and rage, she would repeatedly attempt to harm the heroine
And naturally she would lose, completely, she would be cast out of the Marquis residence in disgrace, while Zhang Lei and the heroine would go on to live happily ever after
At least, that was the general outline
Which meant before the heroine arrived, Lin (name) needed to carefully build her image as an unbearable, spoiled concubine
She had to make Zhang Lei dislike her
The more annoyed he became, the easier it would be for him to throw her out later. And then she could leave peacefully and enjoy her wealthy retirement somewhere far from the capital.
A flawless plan. At least in theory
-----
The next morning, Lin (name) was awakened by her young maid before sunrise
“My Lady, it is time to prepare. The Marquis is waiting for breakfast”
Lin (name) opened her eyes slowly, resisting the urge to bury herself deeper into the soft blankets
Being rich was wonderful. Waking up early was not
After being bathed, dressed, and carefully adorned by the servants, she finally made her way to the dining hall
The moment she stepped inside, she saw him
Zhang Lei
He was already seated at the head of the table. Even in simple dark robes, he looked impossibly refined. His sharp features carried a natural coldness, though his expression remained composed and unreadable. His long fingers rested lightly against the porcelain teacup before him, Elegant, Dangerous Like a perfectly polished blade
Lin (name) narrowed her eyes
*Alright*
*Time to begin the performance*
A sly grin flashed across her lips before vanishing just as quickly she stepped forward gracefully and offered a brief greeting.
Then, in the sweetest voice she could possibly muster, she called out
“Good morning, husband~”
The saccharine tone was so artificial it nearly made her cringe. Honestly, even she found it horrifying. If someone spoke to her like that, she might throw them out of a window
But she maintained her shameless expression flawlessly. Without waiting for permission, she walked straight to Zhang Lei’s side
Then she wrapped both arms around his strong arm and leaned her head against his broad shoulder. The moment she made contact, she felt his body stiffen ever so slightly, Success,
Suppressing her inner excitement, she continued her act
“Did husband sleep well? (Name) missed you so much last night~”
Her voice was soft and clinging, she tilted her head upward, blinking at him innocently
Inside, however, she was screaming
*This is so embarrassing*
*Why did the original owner act like this every day?*
Still, she endured. For the sake of her peaceful future. Zhang Lei lowered his gaze to her. For a brief moment, their eyes met.
His expression remained calm. Then a small smile curved his lips
“Yes.”
That was all
Just one word
Lin (name) blinked. She continued chattering, deliberately acting spoiled complaining about how lonely she had been, asking if he would accompany her later, pouting over trivial matters
Zhang Lei offered little response. Only occasional short replies. A nod here. A faint smile there
To Lin (name), however, every one of those smiles looked forced. And that was exactly what she wanted
*Good*
*Be annoyed*
*Dislike me*
*The more unbearable I seem, the smoother my exit will be later*
Still…A trace of nervousness lingered in her chest. She knew exactly how merciless Zhang Lei could be toward his enemies
The novel had described countless examples of his cruelty. People who crossed him rarely ended well. But surely…Surely he would show at least some leniency toward his wife
Even if she was only a concubine.…Right?
As Lin (name) was busy reassuring herself, she failed to notice the subtle shift in Zhang Lei’s gaze. His eyes lingered on the hand clutching his arm. Then on the way her head rested naturally against his shoulder. The corners of his lips curved slightly higher
This time the smile was not forced. And hidden beneath his lowered lashes was an unreadable glint. Interesting. Very interesting. His usually timid and aloof concubine had suddenly become so affectionate overnight
What exactly had changed?
Zhang Lei took a slow sip of tea. He said nothing. But inwardly for the first time in days
He found himself genuinely curious about Lin (name)
A strong wind swept through the pavilion, rustling the silk curtains that hung loosely by the sides. Dry leaves swirled in the air before falling aimlessly to the ground like a fate yet to be decided. Amid the cold gusts, a woman stood still. Her gaze was distant, unfocused, as if her mind had drifted far away from her body. The thin, pale dress she wore fluttered with the wind, and her long black hair was slightly disheveled, yet she made no move to fix it. She didn’t move at all.
“My Lady… it’s windy outside. You might catch a cold.”
A soft yet worried voice broke the silence. A young maid stood a few steps behind her, her head lowered respectfully, though the concern on her face was unmistakable. The woman did not respond immediately. Several seconds passed before she finally let out a quiet breath, as though she had just returned from a distant place.
“I’m fine,” she replied shortly.
Her voice was calm… but empty.
The maid hesitated, biting her lip, unsure whether she should insist. Everyone in this residence knew this new mistress was not someone easy to understand. She was the newly married concubine of the most influential man in the empire.
Marquis Zhang Lei
A young man not yet thirty, yet already standing at the peak of power as the Emperor’s most trusted advisor. Handsome, gentle, always smiling, and impeccably polite he was the embodiment of perfection in the eyes of the public.
Too perfect.
Behind that flawless exterior, however, lay a man few truly understood. Zhang Lei was cunning, calculating, and never acted without purpose.
He could smile warmly while destroying his enemies without hesitation. That was why people didn’t just admire him. They feared him.
The Zhang family itself was an old noble house with immense power. Their name alone was enough to make others think twice before offending them.
Naturally, Zhang Lei had become the most sought-after husband in the capital, desired by countless noble ladies. And yet, Defying all expectations…He chose to marry a daughter of the Lin family as his concubine. Her name
Lin (name)
The very woman standing in the cold wind. No one knew that beneath Lin (name) body… resided a different soul.
She was not the real Lin Xinyue. She was someone who had died… and awakened in this world.A world she recognized.
Because it was the setting of a novel she once read. And worse Lin (name) was not the heroine. Not even an important character. She was merely… cannon fodder.
A woman whose sole purpose was to stir conflict, create trouble, and then be cast aside without mercy. At first, she hadn’t cared much. Not until the day of her marriage. Not until she stepped into the Marquis’ residence. And right after that
Something appeared
*Ding*
A strange sound echoed inside her mind.
*System activated*
*Objective: Play the role of “Lin (name)” according to the original storyline.*
*Warning: Deviation from character may result in unknown consequences.*
At that moment, she almost thought she had gone mad. But the voice was far too clear to ignore. She refused. Of course she refused. Who would willingly live the life of a character destined for ruin?
But the system did not give up. It explained things… in a very “persuasive” way. As long as she followed the plot, acted like the original Lin (name) her life would not truly end in tragedy.
Yes, she would cause trouble
Yes, she would humiliate herself
And yes… she would eventually be expelled from the Marquis’ residence.
But—the Lin family would not abandon her. As a noble house with a vast business network, they held power beyond the capital. Even if her reputation in the capital was destroyed, she would still live comfortably elsewhere,Safe, Far from danger. Far from deadly power struggles.
Just… a peaceful life as a wealthy woman. It didn’t sound like a bad ending. And most importantly, She wouldn’t have to face the main characters directly. Because she knew one thing very clearly.
Marquis Zhang Lei…Was no ordinary man
He was the male protagonist of this story. And he, Was dangerous. Extremely dangerous.
Lin (name) slowly clenched her hand. The wind blew again, colder than before. Zhang Lei’s gentle smile flashed through her mind. A perfect mask.
But behind it, lurked something far darker. She had read how he dealt with his enemies. Without hesitation. Without mercy. Without leaving a trace.
“…A quiet life outside the capital, huh…” she murmured softly
If all of this was nothing more than a role to play…
Then she simply had to perform it well. Be the villain. Make mistakes. And leave the stage before things got worse. A simple plan. It should have been.
Yet for some reason an uneasy feeling slowly crept into her heart
As if…This story would not unfold as simply as the system claimed
“My Lady…?” the maid called again, hesitantly
Lin (name) snapped back to reality. She turned her head, looking at the young maid properly for the first time
Her expression changed, Cold, Arrogant
Exactly like the Lin (name) from the novel
“Didn’t you hear me? I said I’m fine,” she said sharply
The maid immediately lowered her head even further
“My apologies, My Lady”
Watching her reaction, Lin Xinyue sighed inwardly
*Alright…*
*The game begins now*
But deep inside, she failed to realize one thing. From the very moment she stepped into this residence…She had already entered a game controlled by someone far more skilled than herself
In this mysterious world of beastmen full of raw power and secrets, a human soul that just died in a tragic accident hit by a truck and thrown off a cliff wakes up in the body of a side character from some novel. You wake up as a black tiger, the daughter of the tiger tribe chief, known for her arrogant and snooty attitude that ends up getting her killed in the original story. But you're a new soul in this body, and you've read the whole damn book, so you know exactly what's gonna happen. You're dead set on dodging that shitty fate, especially any kinda relationship with Octa, that strong white tiger who's gonna be the loyal admirer of the female protagonist, Luna.
You know from the original plot that the original character, who had a crush on Octa, slipped him an aphrodisiac fruit during dinner, leading to them accidentally hooking up, and then getting caught by the tribe folks and forced to marry. That made Octa hate her, and when Luna shows up at the tribe, the original character tries to mess with them, almost killing Luna, only for Octa to save her and the original character falls into a deep lake during winter. You don't want that crap happening. So, you're planning to stay the hell away from Octa, especially since that aphrodisiac fruit is already on his plate tonight.
That night, after eating with the tribe, you head back to your own cave, right next to Octa's. You think you're safe 'cause the original character was supposed to sneak into his cave, but you're not gonna do that. As everyone falls asleep, you try to crash too, relieved the night passes without any drama. But in the middle of the night, a wobbly male silhouette stumbles into your cave. It's Octa, who wandered in by mistake 'cause the aphrodisiac's got him half-conscious and his heated body messing with his sense of direction. Octa, with his super-sensitive nose from all that horniness, catches your sweet scent and unconsciously gets closer.
You wake up shocked and try to push him away, but somehow maybe 'cause of some leftover dumbness from the original character you ended up eating that aphrodisiac fruit yourself at dinner. Your body's reacting, and the night turns into this wild, unexpected madness. All night, you're both trapped in uncontrollable lust, leaving you sore as hell the next morning. The next day, you wake up with a body that's all achy. You see the guy next to you with black mane hair and pale skin it's Octa, sleeping with a cute, peaceful face. You get mesmerized for a sec, but snap out of it and freak out. You quickly check outside the cave; it's still dark, maybe around 4 or 5 AM, and the tribe folks aren't up yet. Lucky break. Heart pounding, you go back to your stone bed and shake Octa to wake him up.
"Octa, wake up! Get out of here quick before anyone sees!" you whisper with a shaky voice, your face red from embarrassment and panic. Octa opens his eyes, confused and still dizzy from the aphrodisiac. "Just pretend this never happened," you add, not caring about his confusion. You shove him out of the cave, telling him to go back to his own before the tribe wakes up and sees you two together. As morning hits, you head to your parents' cave for food, like the original character usually does. The cave's warm and smells of freshly roasted meat, and inside, your mom's feeding your cute, energetic little sibling. You join in calmly, grab a piece of meat, and start eating while trying to calm your messed-up mind from last night's mess.
But that peace gets wrecked when your dad shows up after gathering with the tribe hunters, getting ready to go hunting. Your dad, the strong and strict chief, walks in with heavy steps, greeted by your mom. You're eating near the cave entrance, but suddenly your eyes catch Octa walking over from the forest. Your heart races why's he here? Does someone already know about last night?
Panicking, you stand up fast, making your mom, who's busy with your sibling, look confused. "Mom, I gotta talk to Octa for a sec," you say with a voice trying to sound calm, even though your face screams panic. "He'll catch up with Dad later for the hunt." Without waiting for a reply, you approach Octa, whispering frantically, "Why are you here?" while pulling his arm to drag him away from your parents' cave.Once you feel you're far enough behind some thick bushes hiding you from anyone, you stop and talk in a low voice, still catching your breath. "Why'd you come to my parents' cave? What do you want?" you ask, eyes wide with worry.
Octa stares at you with a firm expression, no doubt at all. His black mane hair sways in the wind, and his pale skin contrasts with his white tiger strength, making him look even more intimidating. "I came 'cause I gotta take responsibility for what happened last night," he finally says, his voice low and steady, no hesitation. As a straight-up beastman, he never dodges the consequences of his actions. "We hooked up, and that's not something you can just ignore. The tribe didn't see anything, but I know this could go bad if we don't handle it. What's your plan now?" He sighs, his sharp eyes on you, waiting for your answer.
You glare at him hard, your voice shaking with mixed emotions anger, fear, and firmness. "No, Octa! I don't want you taking responsibility for anything," you say in a tone that's non-negotiable, your hands clenched at your sides. "It was an accident you weren't in your right mind from the aphrodisiac, and I don't wanna blow this up into a big deal. As long as we both keep our mouths shut, it'll be fine.
" You take a deep breath, trying to chill. "You probably don't wanna be with me just 'cause of this accident, right? I swear, don't say anything to my dad. Just act normal, like nothing happened. That way, you can pick a partner you actually want, not get stuck with someone unwanted just outta some sense of duty.
" Your eyes plead with him, hoping he gets it and agrees, 'cause you know it's the best way to avoid the shitty fate from the original novel. But Octa's stubborn as hell with his straight-laced personality. He shakes his head, his sharp eyes unmoving. "No, I can't just ignore it," he says firmly, like his mind's made up. "As a true beastman, I gotta take responsibility. I'll tell your dad about my wish to pair up with you later, when we gather for the hunt. This ain't about what I want or don't it's about honor.
"You gotta think fast, coming up with an idea to at least delay pairing up for a bit, until the female protagonist, Luna, arrives at the tribe. You know from the original story that Luna shows up in three months, which could give Octa a chance to fall for her instead of getting stuck with you. Breathing quick, you say, "Fine, if you really wanna say it, go ahead. But... wait three months. Right after three months, when summer hits, you can tell my dad." Octa looks at you confused, his brows furrowed.
"Why three months? That doesn't make sense," he mutters, but you explain fast, "It's my condition. Use that time to rethink your choice about pairing with me. If after that you still want to, I won't say no again." Octa pauses for a sec, thinking it's weird but finally agrees 'cause he respects your condition as part of his responsibility. Soon after, you both leave the hiding spot and head to the gathering place for the tribe hunters, where your dad and the others are waiting.
It’s been nearly two weeks since you arrived in Vallora, a bustling trade city in southern Selvaris. At first, everything felt unfamiliar—the cacophony of the marketplace, the rich aroma of spices wafting through the air, and the mingling sounds of merchants’ laughter and hawkers shouting to advertise their wares. But gradually, you’ve begun to adjust to the rhythm of this city, so different from the rigid formality of Zantheria’s capital.
Your days in Vallora are filled with work, an escape from the memories of the capital. As your family’s representative, it’s your responsibility to ensure the success of their new trade branch. You meet countless people—local merchants, sea captains from far-off lands, and even city officials eager to curry favor with your family.
One of the people you frequently work with is Arlen, a local spice trader. A man in his early thirties, Arlen is warm and full of laughter. He often helps you navigate the complex network of Selvaris trade and offers advice on understanding the local culture. His cheerful and open demeanor makes you feel at ease, though you still maintain some distance.
There’s also Lila, a young woman who owns a silk shop in Vallora’s main market. Lila has become a friend you visit whenever you’re exhausted or simply want someone to talk to. She reminds you of Selina—kind-hearted, lively, and full of warmth.
Despite all the new faces you’ve encountered, a hollow ache lingers in your chest. Each night, when the day’s busyness fades, you return to your room on the upper floor of a family-owned trade house. In the quiet solitude, your thoughts inevitably drift back to the capital. Back to Raphael.
You’ve tried not to think of him. You’ve worked hard to forget. But the memory of his face, the deep timbre of his voice, and the small moments you shared together haunt you still. You know you made the right choice—leaving the capital and giving him the freedom to pursue his own happiness. Yet, deep down, the ache of longing refuses to fade.
Every morning, you walk through the market, meet with merchants, and review the financial reports for your family’s branch. Your days are busy, but there are moments when you find yourself standing at the edge of the docks, gazing at the endless expanse of the sea, wondering if Raphael ever thinks of you the way you think of him.
“Daydreaming again?” Lila’s voice snaps you out of your thoughts one afternoon as you inspect a stack of silk in her shop. You offer her a faint smile, masking your emotions.
“Just tired,” you reply shortly.
“Of course you’re tired. You work as if the world is ending,” Lila retorts, folding a silk cloth neatly. “You don’t have to prove yourself to anyone here. We’re all already impressed by your dedication.”
You simply smile, but the truth is that this hard work isn’t to prove anything to anyone else. It’s for yourself—to convince yourself that leaving the capital, and leaving Raphael, was the right choice.
---
Unbeknownst to you, Raphael is now only a day’s journey from Vallora.
He’s thought of you the entire way, his sharp eyes fixed on the map that marks your last known location. His expression is cold, but behind that mask rages a storm of emotions. Anger, betrayal, and longing swirl within him, relentless and unyielding.
The knights accompanying him know better than to ask too many questions. They simply follow their prince’s orders, even when he pushes the pace, traveling through the night to close the distance between you.
“Did you really think you could leave me?” Raphael murmurs to himself, his gaze fierce as he looks toward the horizon. “I’ll bring you back, no matter the cost.”
Vallora’s skyline now looms in the distance, its lighthouse standing tall by the harbor, a beacon signaling the end of his journey. Raphael steels himself. Nothing will stand in his way this time—not even you.
Meanwhile, on the other side of Vallora, you sit on the small balcony of your inn, letting the night breeze carrying the scent of the sea wash over you. Once again, you try to convince yourself that this new life is a fresh start. But deep down, you know there’s still something—or someone—you’ve yet to truly let go of.
And without your knowledge, the storm named Raphael is drawing ever closer.
---
That night, the air in Vallora was calm, with only the gentle sound of waves in the distance. You had just changed into a soft blue nightgown and were about to lie down in bed. The exhaustion from a full day’s work was settling in, and all you wanted was to escape your thoughts with sleep.
But a sharp knock at your door halted your steps. You turned, confused. Who would come at this hour? The knock came again, more insistent this time. Quickly, you walked to the door and opened it. Standing before you was the head steward of the family’s trade house, his face filled with unease and a hint of panic.
“Apologies for disturbing you, miss, but… there’s a nobleman here. He insists on seeing you immediately,” he said, his voice slightly trembling.
Your brow furrowed. “A nobleman? Who would come at such a late hour?” you asked, bewildered.
The steward simply shook his head, clearly uncertain how to explain. “I think you’d best see for yourself, miss.”
Feeling a strange sense of unease, you grabbed a thin shawl to cover your shoulders, exposed by your nightgown, and followed the steward downstairs to the main sitting room. Your heart began to race for reasons you couldn’t quite pinpoint—perhaps worry, perhaps curiosity.
When you reached the sitting room, the door was closed. You took a deep breath before slowly pushing it open. But as the door creaked and you stepped inside, your steps froze.
There, standing in the room, was a figure all too familiar. Raphael.
He was clad in a black traveling cloak, dusty from the journey, but his regal presence was undiminished. His dark hair shimmered faintly in the glow of the candlelight, and his eyes bore into yours, brimming with emotions you couldn’t fully decipher. But one feeling was unmistakable—longing.
“(name)", he said softly, his voice warm and filled with a yearning that rendered you speechless.
Before you could form a response, Raphael began walking toward you. His steps were firm yet unhurried, as though he didn’t want to frighten you. And before you could process what was happening, he stood mere inches away, gazing at you with an intensity that made your chest tighten.
Slowly, he raised a hand, gently brushing his fingers against your cheek, as though ensuring you were real. “You… you’re really here,” he whispered, his voice so soft it was almost a breath.
You didn’t have time to reply. In a heartbeat, he pulled you into his arms. His embrace was firm, almost desperate, as though he couldn’t bear to let go. The familiar scent of him filled your senses, and the warmth of his body against yours was both comforting and overwhelming.
“Raphael…?” you finally managed to say, though it was barely more than a whisper.
Raphael didn’t answer immediately. He held you tighter, burying his face in your hair, before murmuring near your ear, “I missed you. So much.”
The deep timbre of his voice sent shivers through you, and the weight of his words, coupled with the strength of his hold, made your face flush. You were too stunned to either return the embrace or push him away. Your mind felt as though it had stopped working.
“Why did you leave without telling me?” Raphael continued, his voice heavier now, raw with emotions he couldn’t suppress. “I searched everywhere for you. I won’t let you leave me again, (name).”
You remained silent, too overwhelmed to respond. Your body was stiff in his arms, but inside, you were trembling. You struggled to steady your breathing, to make sense of what was happening.
“Raphael, what are you—”
“I came to take you back,” he interrupted, not letting you finish. He pulled back slightly to look into your eyes, his hands still resting on your shoulders. His dark blue gaze was like an endless ocean, filled with emotions you could only begin to guess at.
“I’m not leaving without you,” he said firmly, his voice low but resolute, a small, determined smile tugging at his lips.
You didn’t know what to say. One thing, however, was certain: tonight, all your carefully laid plans for a new life in Vallora were on the verge of collapsing.

You sat by the window in your family’s estate, the vast fields of green stretching far into the horizon. The soft golden light of the setting sun bathed the land in a peaceful glow, but inside, your heart felt anything but calm. It had been a few days since you’d returned home, leaving behind the bustling capital and the memories of him.
Rafael.
Even the sound of his name in your thoughts sent a pang of pain through your chest. You told yourself this was for the best—that you couldn’t keep hoping for something you knew would never be yours. He was a prince, destined for greatness, while you were just a marquis’ daughter. In your mind, the image of him with Princess Seraphina haunted you, her laughter and beauty fitting perfectly into his world.
You shook your head, forcing yourself to stop thinking about it. It had been days, and you still couldn’t get him out of your mind. “This is pathetic,” you muttered to yourself, gripping the edge of the windowsill. “He’s not thinking about me. He never was.”
To distract yourself, you threw yourself into anything that could keep your mind occupied. Your family’s estate was vast, and there was no shortage of work to be done.
In the mornings, you helped the house staff with chores, surprising them with your willingness to get your hands dirty. You told yourself that hard work would leave no room for thoughts of Rafael. When midday came, you spent hours in the fields, walking among the blooming flowers, the scents of lavender and wild roses calming your troubled heart.
But no matter how busy you kept yourself, the quiet nights were the hardest. When the world was still, your mind wandered back to him—his rare smiles, the way his sharp eyes softened when they looked at you, the warmth of his presence. Those memories clung to you like a shadow you couldn’t shake.
One evening, as you sat at the small desk in your room, you finally made a decision. You would not let your life revolve around someone who didn’t choose you. You had dreams and ambitions of your own, didn’t you? It was time to pursue them.
The next morning, you rose early, your resolve firm. You spoke to your father, expressing your desire to travel and expand your horizons. “I’ve spent too much time tied to the capital, Father,” you said, trying to sound confident. “I want to visit the southern provinces. Maybe help with the new trade routes. I want to see the world beyond the palace walls.”
Your father looked at you with a mix of surprise and concern. “Are you sure about this? The capital has always been your home.”
You nodded. “I’m sure. It’s time I build something for myself.”
And so, preparations began for your journey. You focused on the excitement of the unknown, convincing yourself that distance was the cure for your aching heart.
But even as you packed your belongings, folding dresses and tucking away keepsakes, a small part of you wondered: would he notice you were gone? Would he miss you?
You shook the thought away. It didn’t matter. This was your chance to move on, to reclaim your life. You were determined to leave Rafael and all the pain behind.
What you didn’t know was that miles away, in the capital, Rafael’s plans to bring you back were already in motion. His knights were ready. He would stop at nothing to have you by his side again. And no matter how far you ran, Rafael would find you. You were his.
---
The continent of Aurelis, where you resided, was vast and diverse, divided into four main regions: Eryndor, the northern region known for its snowy peaks and military might; Zantheria, the fertile heartland rich in trade and culture where the capital resided; Selvaris, the warm, coastal provinces to the south known for their bustling ports and exotic spices; and Draelan, the eastern desert expanse ruled by nomadic tribes. Each region had its own unique charm and resources, creating a delicate balance of power and economy across the land.
You had always lived in Zantheria, surrounded by the endless plains and noble politics of the heartland. However, your family’s business was expanding rapidly. The Marquisate of Linford, known for its luxury goods—fine silks, handcrafted jewelry, and rare spices—was opening new trade routes to Selvaris. The southern provinces held untapped opportunities, with booming markets and lucrative connections to overseas territories.
This was your chance to carve a new path for yourself. While you were officially traveling to oversee the opening of new trade outposts for your family, deep down, you knew it was more than that. It was an escape. An opportunity to leave behind the lingering ache of unspoken love and memories of the capital.
Your journey to Selvaris began just days after you decided to leave. The carriage was packed with essential supplies, led by a small retinue of guards hired by your family for protection. Though you tried to focus on the excitement of the unknown, your thoughts often drifted back to the capital—to the man you had left behind.
---
Meanwhile, back in the capital, Prince Raphael was consumed by a mix of emotions—anger, longing, and determination. The realization that you had left without a word still burned deep within him. The ball, which was supposed to mark the pinnacle of his success and his declaration of love for you, had instead left him hollow.
In the days following your departure, Raphael worked tirelessly. He coordinated with his knights, secured the emperor’s approval for his marriage proposal, and ensured that his mission to retrieve you would succeed. No one—not even you—would deny him what was rightfully his.
He spent hours studying maps of Aurelis, planning the fastest route to your family's estate. Through reports from his informants, he learned that you were heading south to Selvaris. This complicated his plans, as the journey to Selvaris was fraught with danger—bandits, treacherous terrain, and political unrest were common in the southern provinces. Yet, none of this deterred him.
Raphael's mind raced with memories of you: your gentle smile, your unwavering support during his struggles, and the way your presence soothed the storm within him. He clenched his fists, his resolve hardening. You had no right to leave him, to make decisions that excluded him from your life. He would remind you of your place—by his side, always.
---
As you crossed the borders into Selvaris, the scenery transformed. The rolling plains gave way to lush green hills, dotted with olive trees and vineyards. The warm breeze carried the scent of salt from the sea, a stark contrast to the cool, crisp air of Zantheria. The bustling port cities, with their vibrant markets and colorful stalls, brought a sense of excitement you hadn’t felt in weeks.
The new trade outpost you were overseeing was located in the heart of Vallora, a prosperous city that served as a hub for merchants and travelers alike. Your arrival was met with enthusiasm by your family’s representatives, who eagerly showed you the progress they had made.
Throwing yourself into work, you focused on expanding your family’s business. Days were spent meeting local merchants, negotiating deals, and ensuring the outpost ran smoothly. At night, you explored the city, marveling at its vibrant culture and lively streets. Slowly, you began to feel a sense of freedom—a life unshackled by the expectations of the capital.
Yet, no matter how hard you tried to move forward, the thought of Raphael lingered. Was he angry with you? Had he moved on? Did he even care that you had left?

Raphael, on the other hand, had never been more determined. Accompanied by a group of elite knights and a carriage bearing his family’s crest, he set out for Selvaris. The journey was long and grueling, but his desire to bring you back drove him forward.
As his entourage approached Vallora, the prince couldn’t help but smirk. The bustling city was alive with activity, yet all he could think about was how he would find you—and how you would finally understand that leaving him had been a mistake.
Soon, Raphael would reclaim what was his. And this time, he wouldn’t let you escape so easily.
Tittle: "Awakening in a World of Survival: The Prince's Fate"
Several days passed with Leonhard's new routine: visiting (name) in the forest every morning. They spent time together doing various things (name) usually did, like gathering herbs, vegetables, or mushrooms. Sometimes they searched for wild fruits and flowers, or even caught small animals with Leonhard’s skills; he was also quite adept at fishing in the pond. At times, they simply sat by the small lake, enjoying a simple picnic while chatting about trivial things. For Leonhard, the time spent with (name) felt peaceful and enjoyable. There was something sincere and warm in their togetherness, something he had never felt before.
Although it seemed like they were just playing and relaxing, Leonhard actually had another purpose behind his activities in the forest. He remembered that there was an important artifact around (name) village, an artifact that would be very useful for his future adventures. However, despite spending several days exploring the forest, Leonhard had not yet found any signs of the cave where the artifact was supposed to be. The fruitless search began to confuse and frustrate him.
One afternoon, while they were gathering wildflowers, (name) noticed the look of confusion on Leonhard's face. She gently asked, “What’s wrong, Leon? You seem restless today.”
Leonhard was taken aback for a moment but then decided to be honest. He explained, “I’m looking for something. It’s a bit strange, but have you ever heard of or seen a cave with blue flowers that only bloom at night? It should be somewhere around this forest.”
Leonhard didn’t have high hopes that (name) would know. After all, the cave he was looking for was a hidden place, and even in the game, it could only be found through very specific clues. However, to Leonhard’s surprise, (name) seemed to ponder for a moment before responding.
“Oh, I know that place,” (name) replied calmly, as if it were nothing extraordinary. “The cave you’re talking about is in the southern part of the forest. I stumbled upon it by accident some time ago.”
Leonhard paused, astonished by (name) answer. “You know where it is?” he asked in disbelief.
(name) nodded. “Yes, I found it when I fell from a small hill. I rolled down until I got near the cave. But I never went inside. It looked quite dangerous—the ground was slippery and steep. I was afraid that if I entered, I wouldn’t be able to get out again.”
Hearing that explanation, Leonhard felt like the pieces of a puzzle were finally coming together. No wonder he hadn’t been able to find the cave—it was hidden, covered by trees, and positioned slightly lower than the surrounding ground. If one didn’t pay close attention, anyone would easily overlook it. Leonhard grew more impressed with (name), who had inadvertently discovered this place.
“Show me the way,” Leonhard said, unable to hide his curiosity.
(name) nodded and led the way. They walked through the dense forest, moving farther away from the places they usually visited. After a while, they arrived at a somewhat secluded and difficult-to-reach area. Indeed, the cave Leonhard sought was there, hidden behind sprawling tree roots, and its entrance was in a barely noticeable hollow in the ground.
Leonhard stood before the cave, awestruck. He couldn’t believe how hidden this place was. “No wonder I couldn’t find it,” he murmured. “These trees really conceal its presence.”
(name) gazed at the cave with a hint of apprehension. “Are you sure you want to go in, Leon? It looks dangerous.”
Leonhard smiled, trying to reassure (name). “Don’t worry, I’ll be fine. I know what’s inside.”
After making sure everything was safe, Leonhard slowly entered the cave. The ground inside was indeed slippery and steep, as (name) had said, but he was careful enough not to slip. Inside, the cave felt silent, only illuminated by the dim light entering from the cave entrance. However, deep inside, Leonhard could see the blue flowers starting to bloom, just as he remembered from the game.
“This is it,” Leonhard whispered to himself. The blue flowers signified that the artifact he was looking for was nearby. His adventure had just begun, and he knew this was a crucial step to protect (name) and change the future he already knew.
***
(name) stood outside the cave, staring at the entrance that grew darker as night approached. Worry began to creep into her heart. It had been a while since Leonhard had gone in, and he hadn’t returned. The soft sound of the wind only added to the eerie atmosphere. (name) bit her lip, trying to calm herself, but every passing second without news from Leonhard only heightened her anxiety.
“(name), wait here,” Leonhard had said before entering. That was the last instruction she had received, but now her decision to wait made her feel uncertain. “What if something happens? What if he gets hurt in there?” (name) thought, her mind becoming more chaotic.
(name) stepped forward, approaching the cave entrance. “Leon…” she called softly, fearful of interrupting but also hoping for a response. Silence. She called again, this time louder, “Leonhard!”
Still, there was no reply. (name) heart raced faster. She felt torn—on one hand, Leonhard had asked her to wait outside, but on the other, she couldn’t just leave her new friend in danger. Finally, her worry overcame her hesitation.
Quickly, (name) grabbed the creeping plants that grew wild around the cave. She skillfully began to prepare a rope from the plants, something she had learned while wandering in the forest. Her fingers moved nimbly, tying knot after knot securely, then anchoring one end of the rope to a thick tree trunk growing near the cave entrance.
“I need to be ready to get out,” she murmured to herself, ensuring her rope was secure. After being confident that the knots were strong and wouldn’t easily come undone, (name) took a deep breath. “I have to go in. I can’t leave Leon behind.”
Carefully, (name) entered the cave, gripping the rope tightly to help her step over the slippery, descending ground. The darkness grew denser inside, but she kept moving forward, relying on a sudden surge of bravery. Each step felt heavy, but (name) knew she couldn’t stop now. In her mind, there was only one goal: to find Leonhard and make sure he was okay.
As (name) ventured deeper, she felt the temperature in the cave drop. But the most frightening thing was the silence enveloping the place—only the sound of her own breathing and the soft rustling of the rope she clutched.
***
After Leonhard ventured deeper into the cave to search for the artifact, (name) waited outside with a growing sense of anxiety. Even though Leonhard had reassured her to stay put, (name) worries intensified as time passed. The sun began to set, and the dimming light of the cave added to (name) fears. She tried calling out for Leonhard, but there was no response. With her heart filled with concern, (name) realized she couldn’t leave Leonhard in danger alone.
With strong determination, (name) decided to enter the cave despite her fears. She prepared a rope made of vine and tied it to a tree near the cave's entrance, hoping it would help her return safely. Carefully, she stepped forward, trying to hold on to the rope.
However, after taking a few steps, her foot accidentally slipped on the slick ground. (name) struggled to maintain her grip on the rope, but it slipped from her hands, and she fell quickly, sliding down into the cave. In a panic, (name) screamed as she lost control, her body tumbling down the steep cave floor.
Her scream echoed loudly, causing Leonhard, who was deeper inside the cave, to immediately stop in his tracks. Holding a glowing stone, he turned and started running toward the source of the sound, his heart racing with concern. However, before he could reach the spot, (name) was already sliding down toward him.
In an instant, (name) collided with Leonhard, sending both of them tumbling to the ground. Leonhard fell onto the slick floor, unintentionally landing on top of (name), who had fallen first.
They lay still for a moment, the pain from the impact making it difficult to move. Feeling dizzy, Leonhard slowly lifted his head. At first, he didn't realize he was leaning against something soft and warm, but when he held the glowing stone up to his face, he was startled to find (name) face right beneath him.
With a face flushed with embarrassment, Leonhard quickly tried to get up, but the slippery ground made him lose his balance again, this time falling even closer to (name).
(name), still in shock from the fall, now felt Leonhard's body pressing down on her once more. She could feel the warmth of his body and the rapid beating of his heart, making her nervous as well. "Leonhard? Are you okay?" she asked softly, her hand gently cupping Leonhard's face to ensure he wasn't hurt.
Still in (name) embrace, Leonhard felt his cheeks growing warmer. But he knew he had to calm (name), who looked worried. "I... I'm fine," he replied softly, finally regaining his composure. After confirming they weren't seriously injured, they both attempted to rise again—this time more carefully.
Though they managed to stand, an awkward tension lingered between them. Yet behind that embarrassment, a warmth grew in their hearts.
***
Leonhard still held (name) hand tightly, speaking first, "Let’s go deeper inside." Although the atmosphere still felt awkward after the incident, (name) nodded and prepared to move. However, before she could fully step forward, her foot nearly slipped again. Leonhard, quick to react, immediately caught her, helping (name) regain her balance.
"Are you okay?" Leonhard asked, concern evident in his eyes as he assessed every detail of (name) expression.
(name) gave a faint smile, trying to reassure Leonhard even though her heart raced. "It seems like I twisted my ankle a bit, but I can still walk," she replied softly. Although (name) insisted she was fine, Leonhard decided to keep holding her hand firmly, ensuring she could lean on him for support.
A warm feeling spread in (name) heart at Leonhard's caring nature. Despite feeling awkward about the intimacy, she also felt protected. They continued walking in silence, yet that silence felt peaceful and comforting. Leonhard led the way, holding the glowing stone in his right hand, while his left hand gently clasped (name). Occasionally, he glanced at (name) to check if she was okay.
Time passed, and the cave grew darker, making the light from the Blue Moon stone shine even brighter. With its glow, they explored the damp, rocky crevices of the cave. After walking for a while, they finally reached a wall at the end of the passage. The wall was covered in vines adorned with blue flowers that resembled the ones outside the cave. As Leonhard approached the flowers with the glowing stone in hand, a miracle occurred—the flowers began to bloom, emanating a mesmerizing blue light.
The blue light filled the cave, creating a magical scene. (name) was captivated by the sight, her eyes sparkling with awe. "It's so beautiful..." she whispered softly, almost inaudibly.
Leonhard smiled, watching (name) reaction. He knew that this beauty wasn't just a coincidence. The glowing stone he held, known as the Blue Moon, was the key to activating the hidden artifact. The stone was a rare heirloom from the Valerian royal family, known only to direct descendants. While most in the kingdom considered it merely a decorative item, Leonhard, as a player aware of the game’s secrets, understood that the stone held more power than just a light source. It was the key to finding the legendary artifact passed down from the ancestors of the Valerian family.
As the light from the Blue Moon stone intensified, the vines covering the wall began to move of their own accord, slowly retreating and revealing a gap in the center. Behind that gap was a small room that had previously been sealed off. Inside the room, a large chest was illuminated by moonlight filtering through a small opening above the cave. The moonlight seemed to spotlight the chest, creating a sacred and mysterious atmosphere.
Leonhard and (name) exchanged glances, both realizing they had found something extraordinary. "We need to open that chest," Leonhard said, his voice trembling with anticipation and tension. (name) nodded in agreement, though she felt an uncertainty lingering in her mind. They stepped forward, approaching the chest.
Carefully, Leonhard set the Blue Moon stone down on the ground, making sure its light continued to illuminate the chest. (name) hands trembled as she looked at the carvings on the surface of the chest. Each detail seemed full of meaning, as if telling a long-forgotten history.
"Leonhard, look at this!" (name) pointed at a symbol on the chest resembling the Valerian family crest. "This must belong to your family!"
Leonhard nodded, feeling the weight of the heritage before him. With a sense of tension, he began to lift the chest's lid. The wood creaked as it opened, and the moonlight pouring into the chest created an indescribable magical atmosphere.
Inside was an artifact in the shape of a crown, made of a shining silver metal, adorned with sparkling stones that reflected the light. Each stone appeared to have its own unique color and beauty, as if each held a story and power of its own.
Leonhard and (name) were mesmerized, feeling a strong allure from the artifact. "What are we going to do with this?" (name) asked, her voice breathless with wonder.
Leonhard examined the artifact closely, his awareness of the responsibility and history involved beginning to sink in. "We must protect it. It could be the key to saving the kingdom," he replied, resolutely.
As they gazed at the magnificent artifact, the silence around them deepened, as if the outside world was also waiting for the answer to their adventure. Both realized that their journey had only just begun, and their destinies were now intricately woven with the history and mysteries yet to be unveiled ahead of them.

Leonhart leaned against the headboard, lost in thought. The room was quiet, occasionally interrupted by the soft rustling of curtains swaying in the breeze from the large window. His mind raced as he tried to piece together the sequence of events that would unfold in this world. Seven years might seem like a long time, but with the impending disaster, every moment was precious.
His thoughts returned to (name), the NPC he admired greatly. In the game, she was a side character—someone important to the storyline but not eligible as a true love interest. She lived in a small village on the outskirts of the kingdom, renowned for her skills in potion-making and healing magic. Leonhart had always admired her character for her kindness and strength, even though the game never allowed him to pursue (name) romantically. However, now, with seemingly no game rules, all possibilities were open.
"I have to find her," he murmured to himself. "I can't wait for the story to take me there. I need to seek her out on my own terms."
Leonhart swung his legs over the side of the bed and stood up. He felt stronger now, even though his body was still adjusting to the new environment and identity. He could feel the weight of responsibility pressing on him, but also the freedom that came with it. If he could start early in gathering the necessary artifacts, perhaps he could prevent the worst disaster from happening.
He recalled the memories of the original Leonhart, still fresh in his mind. The royal family seemed unaware of the impending doom. For them, life was peaceful, and their only concern was expanding their small but prosperous kingdom. They had no idea that in a few years, the world would be on the brink of destruction.
Leonhart stepped toward the mirror again, still a bit unsettled by the reflection he didn't recognize. The silver hair, sharp blue eyes, and tall stature made him look like a true prince, yet he still felt like a stranger in this body.
"Alright," he murmured, "if I want to survive and change this world, I need to start making plans."
As he was sorting through his thoughts, there was a knock on the door. A young maid entered, bowing deeply. "Your Highness, the king and queen request that you join them for dinner tonight if you feel well enough."
Leonhart hesitated for a moment. He wasn't sure how much he could reveal to his parents, at least not yet. They still believed he was the same Leonhart who grew up in the palace, their only son who had just survived a drowning accident. He needed to act cautiously, or they might suspect something was wrong.
"Tell them I will join," he said, giving the maid a slight nod.
After she left, Leonhart began formulating his next steps. He needed to maintain the appearance of the perfect prince for a while, but behind the scenes, he had to start his mission. The first step was quite simple: to go to the outskirts of the kingdom where (name) lived. From there, he could begin building connections and resources. If he could convince (name) to join him early on, it would give him a significant advantage—not just in battle but in every aspect of the upcoming journey.
He knew that obtaining the Azure Eternis ring was still a long way off, but it was the key to everything. In the game, the ring was tied to the destiny of the main character and their chosen love. But Leonhart was determined to change that. He would ensure (name) was the one to receive it, no matter what.
That evening, Leonhart sat at the royal dining table, surrounded by lavish dishes and elegant decor. The king and queen watched him closely, concern still evident in their eyes, but they seemed relieved to see their son behaving normally.
"Leonhart," the king began, "how do you feel now? We were very worried after what happened at the river."
Leonhart put on his best princely smile. "I feel much better, Father. The rest was very helpful."
The queen leaned forward, her eyes soft yet still filled with worry. "We are so relieved. You must be careful in the future, dear. Rivers can be dangerous, and we cannot lose you."
"I understand, Mother," Leonhart replied gently. "I will be more careful."
They continued to eat in silence, the royal family still recovering from the fright of almost losing their sole heir. However, Leonhart remained focused on his plans. He had to maintain this balance, pretending to be their beloved son while preparing for the storm ahead.
After dinner, Leonhart returned to his room. As he sat at the table by the window, gazing out at the peaceful kingdom scenery, he knew that this tranquility wouldn't last long. There was still much to learn, and many challenges to face. But first, he would find (name), and from there, he would begin his journey to change the fate of this world.
Time continued to pass, and Leonhart would not waste it.
***
The next morning, Leonhart woke up early, with a single goal in mind—to find (name). He had to meet her as soon as possible, to see if she was still the same as he remembered from the game and to start executing his plans. However, before he could leave, he knew he had to ask his parents for permission. As much as he wanted to go unnoticed, sneaking out was not an option.
He dressed in his noble attire and walked toward the royal dining hall, where his parents were enjoying breakfast. As he had anticipated, when Leon expressed his desire to leave the palace and visit the nearby village, the king and queen initially refused.
"But Leonhart," said the queen, her voice filled with concern, "you just recovered from a terrible accident. You should rest more. What if something happens again?"
Leon remained calm, giving her a reassuring smile. "Mother, I feel much better now. I've been cooped up in my room for too long. I just need some fresh air, maybe a short trip outside the city. I promise to be careful."
The king observed him closely, furrowing his brow slightly but sensing his son's determination. "I understand your desire to go, but your health is still our concern, Leonhart. We cannot risk you overexerting yourself."
"Father, I will be fine. I won't go far, and I will be accompanied by a maid and some knights for protection. Please," Leon said, his tone slightly stubborn. "Just a short trip."
After a moment of hesitation and shared glances between the king and queen, they finally relented. The queen sighed gently, unable to deny her only child. "Very well, but only if you promise to take your escort. You must not go alone, Leonhart. You must be careful."
Leon nodded gratefully. "Of course, Mother. I will be cautious."
With their approval, Leon quickly prepared for his journey. He requested a small escort, including a maid and several knights, but made sure it was not too conspicuous. He didn’t want to draw unnecessary attention on his first visit to the village where (name) lived.
As he stepped into the royal carriage, Leon looked out at the bustling city beyond the palace walls. The streets were alive with activity, merchants hawking their goods, children playing in the streets, and nobles preoccupied with their affairs. Everything was just as he remembered from the game—even the large clock tower standing proudly in the town center.
As the carriage rolled through the city, Leon felt an odd sense of wonder and disbelief. He had played this game for hours, navigating these streets virtually, but now he was truly here. This world was no longer just pixels on a screen—it was real. He could smell the fresh bread from the bakery, hear the laughter of townspeople, and feel the gentle sway of the carriage as it moved over the cobbled streets.
After passing through the city gates, the scenery began to change. The roads became less crowded, lined with trees and open fields. Soon, in the distance, Leon spotted a small and simple village—the village where (name) lived. His heart raced a little faster as they drew nearer, his anticipation mounting.
The village was humble, situated just outside the capital. Though not as grand or bustling as the city, it had its own charm. Thatched-roof houses lined the narrow streets, with villagers busy with their daily routines. The sounds of children playing and animals in the distance filled the air, creating a peaceful and almost idyllic atmosphere. This was exactly as Leon remembered from the game.
As the carriage slowed near the village entrance, Leon took a deep breath. This was the beginning of his journey—not just as a prince, but as someone determined to change the fate of this world.
"Let’s go," Leon murmured to himself, his heart pounding with a mix of excitement and uncertainty. Soon, he would see (name), the girl who had captured his heart even in a world that was once just a game. Now, everything felt real. And in this reality, he would ensure things went differently.
***
Leon’s carriage stopped just outside the village, as instructed. He didn’t want to draw attention by entering the quiet settlement in a flashy way. His goal wasn’t the village itself but the forest nearby. He knew (name) often wandered near the edge of the forest to gather herbs and vegetables, which were important for both medicine and her daily meals.
How did Leon know this? Because in the game, (name) herself had told the protagonist. As the player got closer to her, a dialogue option would open up, allowing the protagonist to ask about her past. (name) shared that she lived with her grandmother, a renowned herbalist in the village, after her parents died when she was very young. Her grandmother raised her, teaching her everything about medicine. Together, they made potions for the villagers, often without expecting payment, especially when the villagers were too poor to afford them. (name) kindness and dedication to helping others always touched Leon's heart while playing the game, and that was one of the reasons he was so drawn to her.
Leon stepped down from the carriage, followed by his small entourage, but he quickly dismissed most of them. He wanted to approach (name) quietly and without too much fuss. “Stay here,” he commanded the knights. “I’ll just go a little way into the forest. Don’t follow unless I call for you.”
The knights exchanged worried glances but obeyed his orders. They were uncomfortable leaving the prince out of their sight, but Leon’s determination was unshakable. However, his servant remained close, and Leon accepted this compromise for the time being. He knew he had to play the role of a compliant prince, at least until he gained more freedom in his new world.
Walking along the dirt path toward the forest, Leon’s thoughts raced. He replayed (name) dialogue in his head, remembering the quiet sorrow in her voice when she spoke about her grandmother and how they struggled together after her parents' deaths. In the game, these moments were depicted in text and voice, but now, everything felt much more real.
The trees towered before him, thick and lush, with sunlight streaming through the canopy above. As he neared the forest’s edge, Leon signaled for his servant to stop. “Wait here. I’ll go a little further and see forest a bit.”
His servant hesitated for a moment but nodded. Leon walked deeper into the forest, the sounds of the village fading behind him. His heartbeat quickened, knowing that (name) might be nearby, just as he had often imagined while playing the game.
Soon, he spotted a figure in the distance, bent over a patch of wild herbs. His heart leaped at the sight—(name) . She looked exactly as he had imagined, perhaps even more enchanting. Her (hair length and colour) flowed down her back, and the simple, handmade dress she wore brushed the forest floor as she gracefully moved among the underbrush, skillfully gathering herbs and placing them in a woven basket beside her.
Leon took a deep breath. This was the moment he had dreamed of. But now, standing here in this reality, his confidence wavered slightly. Would she be the same as in the game? Would she accept him, or would she see him only as a distant, untouchable royal?
Slowly, Leon stepped forward, careful not to startle her. “Excuse me,” he called, his voice soft yet intentionally audible.
(name) turned, her eyes widening in surprise. For a moment, she seemed unsure how to react to the sudden appearance of a stranger in the forest, but her expression soon softened. “Oh, hello,” she said, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. “I didn’t expect to meet anyone out here.”
Leon smiled warmly, though he could feel a small tension in his chest. “I was taking a walk and saw you gathering herbs. You must be very skilled at this.”
(name) offered a small, simple smile. “Maybe. My grandmother taught me everything.” She paused for a moment before adding, “Are you from the town? I don’t recognize you.”
Leon chuckled lightly, knowing that (name) wouldn’t immediately recognize him as the prince—after all, he hadn’t visited the village in the game’s storyline until much later. “You could say that,” he replied, sidestepping the truth for now. “I’m just passing through and thought I’d explore the forest.”
(name) expression remained friendly yet curious. “It’s a great place to gather materials. My grandmother and I often come here.” She gestured to her basket, which was already half-full with various plants. “We make potions for the villagers. Many can’t afford the medicines sold in town, so we help as much as we can.”
Leon felt a familiar warmth in his chest as (name) spoke. This was the (name) he knew—someone who cared so much for others, even when she herself didn’t have much. He had always admired her for this, and now, standing before her in this real world, his admiration only grew.
“I think what you and your grandmother do is amazing,” Leon said, his voice sincere.
(name) blushed slightly at the compliment, lowering her gaze toward her basket. “We’re just doing what we can. There’s a lot of need in the village.”
For a moment, they fell into a comfortable silence, the only sounds being those of the forest around them. Leon wanted to say more, to tell her he had come here specifically to meet her, but he knew it wasn’t the right time to reveal everything. For now, he was content just to be near her, watching her work and listening to her voice.
“Would you like some help?” Leon asked, gesturing to her basket. “I may not be as skilled as you, but I can learn.”
Elara looked at him, surprised by the offer. “Oh, I couldn’t ask you to do that.”
“You’re not asking,” Leon said with a smile. “I’m offering.”
She hesitated for a moment, then smiled back. “Alright, if you’re sure. I could use an extra hand.”
And just like that, Leon knelt beside her, helping gather the herbs she needed. Though it wasn’t much, it was the beginning of something significant—a relationship that transcended the boundaries of the game he had once played. Here, in this world, he had the chance to build a real connection, and he wouldn’t let that opportunity slip away.
As they worked together in the tranquil forest, Leon felt more at peace than he had since waking up in this world. He was finally where he belonged, with the person he had always wanted to meet.
***
Leonhart stood tall before (name), his height inherited from his father making him appear larger even though Elara was considered quite tall for her age. They were actually the same age, but Leon’s presence made him seem more mature, more intimidating. Yet his demeanor remained gentle and friendly, in stark contrast to his authoritative appearance as a nobleman.
(name), on the other hand, was a quiet and somewhat shy girl, often overlooked by the villagers. Most girls her age preferred to spend their time discussing the latest trends in the town or gossiping about the boys they liked. However, (name) had no interest in such things. Her days were filled with responsibilities—gathering herbs, tending to the garden, and helping her elderly grandmother prepare medicines for the villagers. Her busyness, combined with her disinterest in the topics deemed trivial by her peers, often made her feel isolated. Although the other girls in the village were polite, their conversations with (name) were always brief and shallow.
So when Leon greeted her so warmly and without hesitation, (name) was taken aback. She wasn’t used to boys her age showing interest in her, let alone casually chatting with her while offering help. Most boys in the village preferred to speak with the cheerful, well-dressed girls who drew everyone’s attention. In contrast, (name) was quieter and didn’t care to dress up or follow the latest fashion trends. Her face was often considered ordinary by those who compared her to the other girls, but Leon saw something different—a quiet beauty, a hidden strength behind her appearance.
At first, (name) was confused by Leon’s approach. Why would someone like him want to talk to her? Leon didn’t seem like the average village boy, and his confident yet friendly demeanor surprised her. However, as time passed, she couldn’t help but feel a warm sensation in her chest. There was something calming about Leon’s presence, something that made her happy, even though she didn’t fully understand why.
Though they had just met, (name) felt herself trusting Leon. His genuine curiosity and kindness melted her heart. As they worked side by side gathering herbs and vegetables, Leon constantly asked questions, his interest in the plants clearly evident. Yet his inexperience was also apparent—more than once, he mistook a weed or useless plant for a valuable herb. (name) chuckled softly at his mistakes and patiently corrected him.
“What about this one?” Leon lifted a handful of green leaves, his brow furrowing in concentration.
(name) stifled a giggle, shaking her head. “No, that’s just a common weed. It does look similar to the herb you’re looking for, but if you pay attention, the leaf shape is slightly different.”
Leon nodded, smiling sheepishly. “Ah, I see. They do look very alike. Good thing you’re here to help me, or I might end up with a basket full of weeds.”
(name) soft laughter warmed the atmosphere between them, and the usual embarrassment she felt slowly faded away. She appreciated Leon’s patience and willingness to learn. Despite the awkwardness, Leon never seemed frustrated, listening attentively to (name) explanations, valuing her knowledge. This was a refreshing change from her usual interactions
Leonhard decided to end their interaction today. He didn’t want to overwhelm or make (name) uncomfortable by insisting on escorting her back to the village. Instead, he chose to maintain a distance, quietly watching from afar to ensure that (name) returned safely. Although they had shared a pleasant time together, Leonhard was careful not to force the situation.
As they prepared to part at the edge of the forest, (name) hesitated for a moment before speaking.
“I just realized… I haven’t asked your name,” she said softly, glancing at Leonhard.
Leonhard smiled warmly. “My name is Leonhard,” he replied, bowing his head slightly. “But you can call me Leon.”
(name) returned the smile, her expression gentle yet slightly shy. “I’m (name). It’s nice to meet you, Leon.”
Leon nodded, feeling satisfied to finally know her name. “Nice to meet you too, (name). I hope we can meet again.”
(name) blushed a little but nodded. “Maybe. I’m usually around here, gathering herbs.”
With that, they exchanged brief farewells, and (name) turned to head back to the village. Leon remained silent, watching her disappear into the distance, his gaze following her retreating figure. There was a subtle connection between them, an unexpected bond, but it was undeniable that it existed.
Leon smiled to himself, feeling a strange happiness. He had moved forward in this new world, not only in his grand plans for the future but in something more personal—something related to (name). Though their meeting was brief, it had left a profound impression on him.
He stayed at the edge of the forest, safely observing as (name) walked back to the village, ensuring she arrived safely before Leon decided to leave. As he returned to the path toward his carriage, his mind continued to be filled with the image of (name). He wondered what she thought of him and whether she felt the same connection.
On the other hand, (name) walked through the village with her thoughts also consumed by the image of Leonhard. There was something different about him—his kindness, curiosity, the way he spoke as if (name) truly mattered. She couldn’t help but wonder when they might meet again.
And so, both Leonhard and (name) carried thoughts of one another as they went their separate ways, unknowingly beginning a bond that would only grow stronger with the passage of time.

After Leonhard returned to the palace, his calm footsteps were immediately halted by the worried gazes of the servants and guards waiting in the main hallway. The sky had grown dark, and he knew full well that his late return would surely cause trouble. Indeed, as he stepped into the main hall of the palace, the loud and firm voice of his father, the king, greeted him.
“Leon, do you think you can go off without informing us where you were going and return at your leisure?” the king scolded, his tone reflecting more than just anger. There was a deep concern in his voice. “You have just recovered from a long coma! Your body is not fully healed. What were you thinking, being out until this late?”
Beside the king, the queen also looked at Leonhard with deep concern, her face mirroring his father’s worry. “We were about to send a search party for you. You know we only allowed you to go out because you said you wanted some fresh air, not to wander until dusk without any word.”
Leonhard lowered his head in genuine regret, realizing that their concern was warranted. They had just gone through a great fear when he had been unconscious in a coma for months. He sincerely apologized, his voice soft yet firm, “Forgive me, Father, Mother. I didn’t mean to worry you. I just… felt the need to enjoy some time outside. The fresh air made me lose track of time.”
The king and queen exchanged glances, and although their worry wasn’t fully gone, they could sense the sincerity in their son’s words. After a moment of silence, the king finally nodded, though his face still bore traces of irritation. “Alright. We understand that you need time to adjust, but please, don’t repeat this again. Your safety is more important than anything.”
The queen sighed and stepped closer, gently touching Leon’s shoulder. “We just don’t want to lose you again, dear. If you want to go outside, please let us know first.”
Leon nodded, guilt evident on his face. “I understand. I will be more careful in the future.”
After a lengthy reprimand, the king ordered him to clean up before dinner. Leon promptly made his way to his room, and as soon as he arrived, he submerged himself in a warm bath, hoping the warmth of the water would help ease the remaining tension. However, even though his body relaxed, his mind wandered far away, returning to (name) and their conversation in the forest.
(name), a simple yet captivating girl, with her gentle smile and eyes that radiated sincerity. Leon could not ignore the reality that the girl made him feel at ease, something he had struggled to find since awakening in this world. How could their brief meeting leave such a deep impression? His mind was filled with visions of (name), her smile, her voice, even the way she patiently taught him about medicinal plants.
After finishing his bath and donning formal attire, Leon joined his parents in the dining room. Dinner proceeded in a quiet atmosphere, though the tension still lingered. The mood was somewhat more relaxed than when he had first arrived, but Leon could still feel the remaining worry from both of his parents.
After dinner, Leonhard asked for permission to return to his room early. When he finally arrived, he changed into his pajamas and sat on the edge of his bed, allowing his body to lean slightly against the wooden post behind him. Yet, sleepiness did not come. His mind remained filled with thoughts of one person—(name).
Leon pondered how (name) would change in the coming years if everything followed the storyline of the game. In the future, (name), in her twenties, would bear a large scar on her face—one that reflected not only physical suffering but also the emotional burden she would have to bear. This scar would be received when (name) was nineteen, during an attack on their village by monsters unleashed by a traitor within the kingdom. The assault claimed the life of (name) grandmother, the only family she had left.
In the game, the scar was always hidden beneath a hood worn by (name), a symbol of her reluctance to open up to anyone—except to the protagonist, when their relationship grew close enough. Leonhard vividly remembered how in the game, the scar became a turning point for (name), making her more withdrawn and filled with loss. Although the scar never diminished her beauty in Leon's eyes, he knew it brought much suffering into (name) life.
“I won’t let that happen again,” Leon murmured, his voice filled with determination. He lay down on his bed, staring at the intricately carved ceiling of his room. If I can change this storyline, I will protect her.
But how? Leon began to think about the steps he might take to prevent that incident from occurring. What can I do to prevent this betrayal? How can I ensure (name) village remains safe? His thoughts kept spinning, trying to plan for every possibility. This world, though reminiscent of the game he once played, felt far more real now. Every decision he made would impact the fates of those around him, including (name).
As he contemplated, Leon was unaware of when sleepiness finally overtook him. He fell asleep with (name) image still filling his mind—her smile, her voice, and the sincerity that radiated from her. Their meeting in the forest today may have been brief, but for Leon, it was only the beginning of something far greater.
In his dreams, Leon saw (name) once more—but this time, she stood in the gentle sunlight, unscarred, smiling happily. I will protect you, Leon promised in his heart. And with that resolve, his sleep deepened, ready to face whatever challenges awaited him in this world.
That night, amidst the splendor of the party, Prince Rafael’s heart was consumed by uncontrollable emotions. He stood at the edge of the ballroom, watching the couples fill the dance floor. The sweet melodies echoed throughout the hall, but his thoughts were far from the joy of the event. He kept thinking about you—the one who should have been there by his side, but instead, you had chosen to leave without a word, without even a goodbye.
Just a short while ago, Rafael had approached the emperor, reminding him of the promise made if he successfully carried out this event. That promise gave him the opportunity to make one request, and without hesitation, Rafael asked for the emperor’s blessing to marry you—the woman who had captured his heart. The emperor was initially surprised by his choice, thinking that perhaps it was Seraphina, given how closely they had worked together during the preparations for the event. But Rafael firmly denied it, stating that his relationship with Seraphina was purely platonic and that his heart had long belonged to you.
The emperor accepted his request, even granting Rafael permission to fetch you and enlist knights from his older brother, Lionel, the Second Prince, to accompany him. Rafael lied to the emperor, claiming that you had returned to your family’s home to prepare for the proposal and wait for the official approval from the palace. However, in truth, Rafael knew you had left for entirely different reasons—reasons he still couldn’t fully understand.
As Rafael walked towards Lionel, he noticed his older brother being teased by Princess Seraphina. Lionel, usually stern and composed, now looked awkward, his ears flushed from her playful banter. Rafael smiled slightly at the sight, but his thoughts quickly returned to you. After asking Lionel for a few knights for the upcoming journey, Rafael bid him farewell, once again sinking into his thoughts.
Your presence continued to haunt him. If only you were here, at this very party, they would be dancing together. Rafael had prepared a birthday gift for you—a necklace carefully selected with Seraphina’s help. He had also rehearsed the words to finally confess his feelings to you, hoping to see the smile on your face when you accepted his gift.
But all of his plans had been shattered the moment you left without a word. His heart was filled with disappointment and anger. How could you leave after all the time they had spent together? What had he done to drive you away? These questions spun endlessly in his mind, fueling a growing rage. Rafael felt betrayed—not just by you, but by his own emotions.
The anger he felt slowly morphed into a cold resolve. If you dared to leave him like this, he would make sure you could never do it again. Rafael decided that once he got you back, you would never be allowed to leave the palace. You would stay by his side forever, under his watchful eye, protected and confined by his presence. That would be your punishment for abandoning him. You needed to be reminded who was in control, and that you belonged to him.
That night, in the midst of the grand celebration, Rafael no longer cared for the music or the dancing. His mind was entirely consumed by thoughts of you—of himself and you, in the future he envisioned. A future where you could never escape him again.
Months passed since the Guide had been abruptly pulled from the game world. In the real world, she couldn't shake off the memories of Rion and their journey together. Every day, she found herself thinking about him—the way he fought fiercely against enemies, the moments of quiet camaraderie they shared, and the unspoken bond that grew between them.
Rion, on the other hand, continued his adventures in the game world, victorious but with a lingering sense of loss. He couldn't explain why, but ever since the Guide disappeared, a part of him felt incomplete. He missed her voice guiding him through challenges, her encouragement in times of doubt, and the inexplicable warmth he felt whenever she was near.
One night, as the Guide sat at her computer, staring at the game's login screen, a notification popped up—an update for the game she had transmigrated into. Heart racing, she clicked on it, not knowing what to expect. To her surprise, the update wasn’t just a patch; it was a new expansion that promised enhanced gameplay and new adventures.
Intrigued, she launched the game, half-hoping to find a clue, a trace of Rion. As the game loaded, she found herself back in the familiar landscape where she and Rion had spent countless hours together. But something was different—the atmosphere felt charged with anticipation, as if something important was about to happen.
Deep within the game world, Rion also sensed a change. He had been exploring new territories when he came across an ancient artifact—an enchanted mirror rumored to possess the power to connect worlds. Without hesitation, he decided to investigate further, hoping to uncover its secrets.
As fate would have it, the Guide and Rion's paths were about to converge once more. In a hidden corner of the game world, where reality blurred with fantasy, they stood face to face, disbelief and joy mingling in their eyes.
The Guide stared at her computer screen, her heart pounding in her chest. After months of silence, an unexpected update to the game had brought her back to the world where she had once guided Rion. But this time, something was different. The atmosphere felt charged, the world vibrant in a way that made her feel it was waiting for something—waiting for them.
As the game loaded, a flicker on the screen revealed an image she hadn’t expected: Rion. He stood before a large, shimmering mirror within the game world, his eyes scanning the glass as if looking for something—or someone. Her breath caught in her throat.
"Rion..." she whispered, her fingers brushing the screen.
At the same moment, Rion's voice echoed through the monitor. “Guide… is that you?”
“Yes, it’s me,” she answered softly, her voice trembling with a mix of joy and disbelief.
Their eyes locked through the strange connection of the game, Rion’s through the mirror and the Guide’s through her screen. The air between them crackled with the energy of emotions left unsaid for too long. They both reached out instinctively—Rion, placing his hand on the mirror’s surface, and the Guide, pressing her palm against the glass of her monitor.
And then, something incredible happened. The barrier between their worlds began to dissolve. Slowly, their hands moved through the boundaries—Rion’s hand emerging from the mirror, and the Guide’s hand slipping out from her monitor. Their fingers interlocked, the warmth of their touch a surreal, breathtaking reality.
“I’m not letting you go again,” Rion said, his voice firm yet tender, filled with a longing that had been building since the day they were separated.
“Neither am I,” the Guide replied, her voice trembling as she smiled at him.
In one fluid motion, Rion grasped both of her hands firmly, pulling her towards him. She felt her body move forward, crossing the impossible distance between their worlds. Rion’s strong arms caught her as she passed through the monitor, and she emerged on the other side, standing in the game world, face to face with him.
Without a word, Rion wrapped his arms tightly around her, holding her close. The Guide melted into his embrace, her heart swelling with the warmth of finally being with him again. She looked up into his eyes and saw everything she had longed for—his affection, his relief, and the deep bond they had shared from the beginning. His gaze was filled with love, and for the first time, there were no barriers, no rules keeping them apart.
“I’ve missed you,” he whispered, his voice rough with emotion.
“So have I,” she replied, her eyes misting with the weight of everything unsaid.
They didn’t need to say anything more. In that moment, they both leaned in, their lips meeting in a kiss that was soft, warm, and filled with the promise of a new beginning. It was a kiss that sealed their decision—a vow to stay together, no matter where this world or any other took them.
When they finally pulled away, their foreheads rested against one another, their breath mingling as they stayed in the moment, unwilling to let it go. But they both knew—this was not the end of their journey. It was the start of something far greater.
“Are you ready?” Rion asked, his voice full of excitement now.
“With you? Always,” she smiled, a sparkle of adventure in her eyes.
Hand in hand, they turned to face the horizon. Together, they would venture into the unknown, no longer just Guide and player, but as partners—bound by love and the memories they had made along the way. Whatever challenges awaited them, they would face them together, ready to embrace every adventure that lay ahead.
And so, with hearts full of hope and joy, they stepped forward, disappearing into the wild, untamed world that awaited their next chapter.

Tittle: "Awakening in a World of Survival: The Prince's Fate"
In the midst of the bustling traffic, a man was crossing the street, his eyes glued to his phone. Without a glance to his left or right, he continued walking, oblivious to the world around him. On the phone screen, an RPG survival otome game, currently popular, displayed a scene where his character was conversing with a female NPC. Every now and then, a faint smile crossed his face, satisfied with the progress he was making in the game.
People around him began to panic. A large truck was speeding toward him, far too fast to stop in time. Some bystanders started shouting, trying to get his attention. "Watch out!" "Get out of the way!" "There's a truck!" But the man heard nothing. His earphones blasted music, drowning out all the warnings. Still focused on his phone, he moved his character to give a gift to the NPC. Unfortunately, the gift was rejected because it could only be given to one of the available love interests.
Finally, he looked up. His eyes met the truck's grille barreling toward him at full speed. Time seemed to slow down. The man froze, shocked, his mouth slightly open. The truck was too close, and there was no time to react. The inevitable collision occurred. His body was flung into the air, while the truck sped away, leaving the scene.
The world around him went silent. The man felt no pain, only emptiness. His body felt weightless, but he couldn’t move. People gathered around, some trying to help, but their voices sounded distant, like they belonged to another world. His eyes grew heavy. He was so tired, unbearably tired. As the darkness began to swallow him, he surrendered to the exhaustion, slowly closing his eyes for what he thought would be the last time.
But when he opened his eyes again, the scene before him was entirely different. Gone were the crowded streets and panicked people. Instead, he found himself in an unfamiliar bedroom. The room had a vintage, aristocratic feel, with tall windows draped in golden curtains. The bed he lay on was adorned with luxurious silk sheets, and a grand chandelier hung from the ceiling.
Confusion clouded his mind. Wasn't he just dying? Hadn't he already died? Before he could make sense of it, the door to the room swung open, and a maid entered. Upon seeing him awake, she gasped, then quickly bolted out of the room, calling for a doctor.
The man was left stunned. What was happening? Slowly, he rose from the bed and walked towards the large mirror in the corner of the room. What he saw stopped him in his tracks. The reflection staring back at him wasn’t his own. Long, silver hair cascaded down his shoulders, his eyes were a sharp blue, his skin flawless and pale, and his body was taller and more athletic than it had ever been.
“This… isn’t me,” he whispered.
The aristocratic face in the mirror seemed hauntingly familiar. "Damn it! I’ve been isekai’d into the game I was playing?!" he exclaimed in panic. It didn’t seem possible, but the reality before him was undeniable.
He had been transported into the body of a prince from a small, prosperous kingdom, the main character in the RPG survival otome game he had been playing. In the game, the prince would embark on a grand adventure to expand his kingdom’s power and search for legendary artifacts to battle the demons that would rise again after being sealed away for a hundred years.
With a deep breath, the man—now a prince—realized that his life was no longer just a game. Great challenges lay ahead, and he would have to find a way to survive in this new world.
___
The prince, or the main character, was named "Leonhart Valerian," the crown prince of a small yet prosperous kingdom, destined to become a powerful leader. At 15 years old, Leonhart was on the path to grow into a strong prince who would lead a great battle against the rising demons that had been sealed away for a hundred years.
___
Leonhart sat on his bed, his body still weary from the recent events. Around him, the royal doctor carefully examined him, while the king and queen stood by his bedside, their expressions filled with concern. The queen’s eyes brimmed with tears of relief, overjoyed that her only son had woken up after the terrifying accident. Leonhart remained silent, feeling awkward under their watchful eyes, especially because he wasn’t truly the "Leonhart" they knew. He felt like a stranger in the body of the prince.
The doctor eventually finished the examination and declared that Prince Leonhart had no serious injuries. His brief coma had been caused by shock from falling into the river, but aside from that, he was perfectly fine. Hearing this, the king and queen sighed in relief. The queen immediately approached Leonhart, gently holding his hand with motherly tenderness. "I was so afraid you wouldn’t wake up," she said, her voice trembling with emotion.
Leonhart felt guilty but tried to soothe her. "I’m fine, really. There’s nothing to worry about," he reassured her, his voice calm yet firm. The king also expressed his concerns, and once again, Leonhart did his best to reassure both parents, whom he had only just met in this world.
Thankfully, the game had a feature that allowed Leonhart to view the character’s memories, so he had already studied the history and relationships of the prince. After the king and queen returned to their royal duties, Leonhart was left alone in his chamber.
Sitting there, he began to recall the game’s storyline. Currently, Prince Leonhart was 15 years old, and the main storyline wouldn’t begin until he turned 20. The demon seals would start to break when he turned 22, which meant he had seven years to prepare for the impending catastrophe.
One of the first things Leonhart noticed was the absence of any system interface or quests appearing before him. It seemed like he was free to do as he pleased, without the constraints of the game’s rules. This was a great relief. Now, he could start collecting vital artifacts much earlier than the main plot intended.
Beyond that, there was a personal goal that Leonhart felt strongly about. He wanted to meet (name), an NPC character in the game who had been unavailable as a love interest, but whom Leonhart had always admired. Previously, he was frustrated because he couldn’t give (name) the special gift, but now, with full freedom, he was determined to approach her and present the gift when the time came.
Leonhart smiled to himself. (name), the girl he considered the love of his life, was now within reach. In his heart, despite how excessive it may sound, he always had deep feelings for her, more so than any of the game’s designated love interests. Now, he was eager to begin his journey—not only to save the world but also to win the heart of the girl he had always dreamed of.
"One day, I will give you the Azure Eternis, (name)," Leonhart whispered to himself with determination.
___
The ring was named "Azure Eternis," a simple blue ring imbued with extraordinary power. Not only was it a symbol of engagement, but it also possessed magical abilities for self-defense, including teleportation, offensive magic, and the ability to track the wearer’s location. Only a true love interest in the game could accept this special ring.
Today was the farewell event for the delegation, a grand occasion meant to solidify the alliance between kingdoms. It was Prince Rafael’s first major event, a responsibility entrusted to him by the emperor. This would be his debut as the main host, and he had worked tirelessly for days, with the help of Princess Seraphina. Over time, their close working relationship had turned into a solid friendship.
As the sun set, the palace began to fill with nobles and the foreign delegates who had been staying for the past few days. The event took place in the grand, luxurious hall of the palace, decorated meticulously by Rafael himself. The nobles who arrived could not stop praising the elaborate decorations and the exquisite food served at the banquet.
The success of the event was undeniable, and so was the growing reputation of Prince Rafael. Once overlooked and shunned, Rafael now found himself in the center of attention. The emperor and his brothers, the first and second princes, no longer ignored or treated him coldly, and the nobles, who had once dismissed him, now clamored for his favor. Their attitudes had shifted, and many who had once belittled him were now eager to be in his good graces.
When the emperor officially declared the event open, guests mingled, exchanging pleasantries and alliances. The hall was soon filled with the soft sound of music, signaling the beginning of the night’s dances. As couples paired off and the music swelled, Rafael stood by, scanning the crowd. His hand instinctively brushed the small pouch in his pocket. Inside was the gift he had chosen with care—a necklace for the one who held his heart.
But as the night progressed, Rafael’s expression grew more anxious. His eyes searched for a particular figure, one he hadn’t seen yet among the gathered guests. He scanned the crowd again and again, but still, there was no sign of you.
Finally, he spotted his older brother, the first prince, standing with his fiancée, Selina. Without hesitation, Rafael approached them, a sense of urgency in his steps. He greeted his brother hurriedly, which caused the first prince to raise an eyebrow in confusion. Rafael wasn’t usually one to rush, especially at such a formal event.
"Selina," Rafael said, his voice laced with impatience. "Where is she? Where’s..." He hesitated, almost unwilling to voice your name, as if saying it would confirm his worst fears. "Where is she? I haven’t seen her all night."
Selina blinked in surprise. "You... you don’t know?"
Rafael's heart skipped a beat. "Know what?"
Selina, now equally confused, replied, "She’s gone. She went back to her family’s estate. Didn’t she tell you? She was only here for her debut and my engagement. Now that those events are over, she had no reason to stay any longer."
Rafael froze, his mind reeling. “She... left?” His voice dropped, disbelieving. “Why didn’t she tell me? We haven’t even spoken in nearly two weeks. She left without a word to me?”
The shock and confusion twisted Rafael’s usually composed expression into something raw. His mask, the calm and cold demeanor he wore in front of everyone, cracked completely. He stared at Selina, waiting for her to explain what had just happened.
“I thought she told you,” Selina said slowly, beginning to realize just how deep Rafael’s feelings ran. “She left about three days ago. By now, she should have already reached her home.”
A cold weight settled in Rafael’s chest, darkening his expression. She had left. She had left without saying goodbye. It was as if the ground had been ripped out from beneath him, leaving him with nothing but the hollow echo of her absence.
Anger surged through him, mixing with an overwhelming sense of betrayal and abandonment. How could she have done this? How could she leave without a word? The last two weeks of silence suddenly made sense—she had been planning her departure, and he had been too preoccupied to notice. Too focused on preparing a surprise for her birthday, on making everything perfect for her, to realize she was slipping away.
His mind raced with questions. Had he done something wrong? Was she angry with him for not reaching out sooner? Had he hurt her without realizing it? But none of it made sense. He had been planning to surprise her, to confess his feelings and give her the gift he had chosen with so much care. How could everything have gone so wrong?
But it was more than confusion, more than anger—it was the familiar sting of abandonment. The same feeling he had experienced as a child, when his family had distanced themselves from him after his mother’s death. And now, you had done the same thing—left him behind without a word, without an explanation.
No. No, he couldn’t accept this. You were his. You had been the only person who ever truly saw him, the only one who had gotten close enough to break through his walls. And now, you were gone.
But he wouldn’t let you leave him. He couldn’t. Not when you were the only light in his life, the only thing keeping him from the darkness that had consumed him for so long. You were his—his to protect, his to hold, his to love.
Rafael’s expression hardened, his hands clenching into fists at his sides. He wouldn’t let this be the end. He couldn’t lose you. No matter what it took, no matter the cost, he would find a way to bring you back. You belonged with him. You always had.
And he would do whatever it took to make sure you never left him again.
But instead of feeling victorious, my thoughts were filled with **her**—that voice, my Guide, who had never left my side since the beginning of this journey. Throughout this grueling adventure, she was always there, giving me directions, strategies, and sometimes… encouragement. Even when I felt like giving up, her voice always pushed me forward.
The final battle almost cost me my life. The enemy I faced was far stronger than anyone I had ever encountered. I gave everything—my strength, my wit—to defeat him. When I finally struck the final blow, the world around me fell silent. I was the only one left standing in the battlefield.
I heard her voice for the last time before the final battle, her gentle words saying, "Rion, no matter what happens, I will always be here with you."
But after the battle was over, something felt wrong. **Silence**. My Guide didn’t speak anymore. I waited, hoping to hear her voice again, but there was nothing. A small part of me started to worry.
"Guide?" I called out, hoping for a response, but there was none.
I bit my lip. I never really thought too much about her before. I always assumed she was just part of the game—a system entity helping me through this harsh world. But now, amidst this silence, I realized something. Her presence had become an essential part of my journey. She wasn’t just a voice in my head. She was someone I had come to rely on. Without her, this world felt... empty.
"Guide!" I shouted louder this time, but still, there was no answer. Only the wind responded, deepening the quiet around me. She was gone. But why? What happened?
---
The days following the final battle felt strange. Even though I had defeated my greatest enemy and survived, the feeling of loss lingered over me. The voice that had always accompanied me in every step was now truly gone. Before, I might have considered her just part of the system, but now I realized how important her presence had been. Not just as a guide, but as someone who quietly gave me strength beyond what I knew.
I started to wonder, who was she really? Why did her voice feel so real? Why was there warmth and care in every piece of advice she gave? Wasn’t she supposed to be just a system? But the more I thought about her, the emptier my heart felt. Something was missing, and I didn’t know how to get it back.
Night after night, I woke up thinking about the possibilities. Maybe she wouldn’t come back. Maybe she was gone for good. But a strong urge inside me wouldn’t let me give up.
One day, I decided to return to the place where it all began—the village where I first heard her voice. There, I hoped to find clues or answers. But what I found were only ruins and memories.
"Why did you leave?" I whispered to myself. "Did I do something wrong? Or is this how it's supposed to end?"
I felt an overwhelming sense of loss. No matter how many victories I achieved, without **her**, everything felt hollow. She was the reason I had come this far, and now, without my guide, I felt lost.
---
Even though she disappeared, her voice remained in my memory. Every strategy, every piece of advice, it all stayed in my mind, as if she was still here with me. But I knew, that was just a memory. I could no longer hear her comforting voice, and that made me feel even more empty.
However, there was something she said to me before the final battle that kept echoing in my thoughts: “No matter what happens, I will always be here with you.”
Was that just a simple phrase? Or was there more to it? I wasn’t sure. But I decided on one thing: I would not give up. If there was a way to find her again, I would find it.
Even if I had to embark on a journey longer and harder than any I had ever taken before, I would find the answer. Somehow, someday, I would meet **my Guide** again. And when that time came, I would make sure to say what I had never been able to say before.
"Thank you... and I need you."
---
Rion stared at the horizon, glowing red in the distance. His adventure was far from over. Although the challenges of the game had ended, his greatest struggle had just begun: finding the missing Guide, the voice that had quietly become more than just an entity in his head.
It was a bright afternoon, but my heart felt heavy. Tomorrow, I would be leaving the capital, leaving him—Prince Rafael. As I packed my belongings, I kept pausing, my mind filled with doubt. Should I really leave? What if, in my absence, Rafael turned into the tyrant he was destined to be in the novel? What if the rebellion still happened, and I wasn't there to stop it?
But deep down, I knew that wasn't the only reason I was hesitating. It wasn’t just the fear of what could happen—it was the fear of leaving him, the man I had grown to care about far more than I ever intended. The thought of being far from him, of never seeing him again, sent a wave of sadness through me.
I glanced out the window, the sun beginning its descent, casting a golden hue over the city. I had made up my mind to leave, but my heart wasn’t ready.
I needed to see him, just one last time. If only to confirm that my place beside him no longer existed. If I could just speak with him, perhaps he would tell me what I needed to hear—that he still needed me, or that I had done my job, and it was time to move on. A part of me, buried deep, wanted him to stop me. To choose me.
With a heavy heart, I left the house and headed toward the castle. As I walked, the memories of our time together flooded my mind—our quiet moments in the library, the way he would listen to my endless chatter, the small smiles he reserved just for me. Could I really leave all that behind?
When I arrived at the castle, I made my way to the library—the place where we had shared so many moments together. But as I walked through the garden, I caught sight of Rafael in the distance. He was standing near the fountain, and for a moment, I felt a flicker of hope.
This was it, I thought. I would go to him, and maybe... just maybe, he would give me a reason to stay.
But just as I took a step forward, I saw her—Princess Seraphina. She approached Rafael with a soft smile, her long gown sweeping the ground as she walked toward him. My heart clenched painfully.
I watched as she stumbled, her foot catching on the edge of the fountain. Rafael moved swiftly, catching her before she could fall. From where I stood, it looked like they were embracing—no, worse, it looked like they were... kissing.
A sharp pain pierced through my chest, and before I knew it, tears welled up in my eyes. I couldn't breathe. The sight of them together felt like a confirmation of my deepest fears—Rafael had never needed me. I was nothing compared to someone like Seraphina, a princess from a neighboring kingdom. What had I been thinking, hoping he would choose me?
With my heart breaking, I turned and ran. The tears streamed down my face as I fled, not wanting to witness any more. Why had I allowed myself to fall for him? What had I expected? That a prince—someone as important as Rafael—would ever look at me, the daughter of a mere marquis, with anything other than casual affection?
When I finally reached my carriage, I collapsed inside, sobbing uncontrollably. The image of him holding her, smiling at her, haunted my thoughts. Why had I ever thought I could be enough for him?
As the carriage took me back to my cousin Selina’s house, I tried to calm myself. This was for the best, I told myself. I couldn’t stay here, not when it hurt so much. It wasn’t right to covet something—someone—who was never mine to begin with.
Tomorrow, I would leave. Far from the capital, far from him. That was the only way I could protect my heart from breaking any further.

POV Rafael
The moment I saw Princess Seraphina stumble near the fountain, I instinctively reached out to catch her. She gasped in surprise, but I steadied her before she could fall.
“Thank you,” she said breathlessly, brushing off her gown. “I should really be more careful.”
I gave her a small smile. “No harm done.”
Seraphina laughed lightly, shaking her head. “I can’t believe I almost fell in front of you. How embarrassing.”
I shrugged. “It happens. Besides, you’ve helped me more than enough these past few days. I owe you.”
And I meant it. Seraphina had been a wonderful friend, helping me plan everything from the final touches of the ball to the gift I was preparing for... her. I couldn’t stop thinking about her—the woman who had become such an important part of my life.
Seraphina smiled warmly. “I’m happy to help. I just want to see you happy, Rafael. And I think you will be—once you give her that gift.”
I chuckled, though my thoughts were already drifting back to her. The necklace I had chosen for her was safely tucked away, and the ball—her birthday—was fast approaching. I could hardly wait to see the look on her face when I finally told her how I felt.
I had been distant lately, but only because I had been preparing something special. I knew she didn’t expect much, but I wanted to give her a moment she would never forget. After all, she had given me more than I could ever repay. Her companionship, her support, her presence in my life—it meant everything to me.
Seraphina glanced at me, a knowing look in her eyes. “You really care about her, don’t you?”
I didn’t answer right away, but I knew I didn’t need to. The truth was obvious—I had fallen for her, completely and utterly. She had wormed her way into my heart, and now I couldn’t imagine my life without her.
“I do,” I said finally, a soft smile tugging at my lips. “She’s... everything.”
Seraphina grinned. “Then don’t wait too long to tell her. She deserves to know.”
I nodded, my heart filled with anticipation. I wouldn’t wait much longer. At the ball, I would tell her everything.
The thought of her face lighting up when she saw the necklace filled me with excitement. I wanted her to know how much she meant to me. I wanted her to know that I wasn’t the man the world thought I was—distant, cold, unfeeling. She had seen past all that, and for that, I would forever be grateful.
Now, all I had to do was wait for the right moment. And when that moment came, I would make sure she knew that she had my heart.
The library was quiet as I sat at my usual spot by the window, waiting. My eyes flicked to the door every so often, hoping to see her walk in like she usually did, with that bright smile of hers and a random book tucked under her arm. But it had been days now, and she hadn’t shown up once.
I tapped my fingers against the table, a small habit I had picked up when I felt uneasy. And these days, I was nothing but uneasy.
“Where is she?” I muttered under my breath. At first, I had brushed off her absence as nothing. She was probably busy, I told myself. Or maybe she just needed a break. She wasn’t obligated to come here every day, after all.
But after several days with no sign of her, I was starting to worry.
My gaze drifted to the small leather-bound book she had given me weeks ago. I had placed it on the shelf beside my desk, but every time I saw it, it was like a reminder of her absence—her laughter, her constant chatter that filled this space. The silence she left behind felt heavy, and I hated it.
Maybe I had taken her presence for granted. She had always been there, from the very start, when no one else had bothered. And now, I found myself missing the way she would talk endlessly about whatever book she was reading or how she would ramble about the latest gossip from court.
"Dammit," I muttered, running a hand through my hair. "What’s gotten into me?"
It wasn’t like me to be this distracted. I had more important things to focus on—especially with the arrival of the delegation from our neighboring kingdom. The palace had been buzzing with preparations, and Father had specifically asked me to ensure everything went smoothly.
Yet, all I could think about was her.
I knew I had been distant lately, but there was a reason for it. Her birthday was approaching, and I had wanted to do something special for her—something that showed her how much I valued her.
But... I didn’t know how.
I had never given a gift to someone before. Not something personal. So, after much hesitation, I turned to Princess Seraphina for help. She had always been kind to me, and she understood the courtly traditions far better than I did.
“What should I give her?” I had asked Seraphina one afternoon, when we met to discuss the preparations for the ball.
Seraphina had smiled at me, a knowing look in her eyes. “Someone special, is it?”
I didn’t bother denying it. She wasn’t wrong. “I want it to be meaningful,” I said quietly. “Something... something she can remember me by.”
We had spent the next few days searching for the perfect gift. Seraphina had suggested a necklace, something simple but elegant. After visiting several jewelers, we finally found it—an intricate pendant with a small gemstone in the center, delicate but not overly flashy. I had chosen it because it reminded me of her—something small and beautiful, but not ostentatious. It was perfect.
But now, as I sat here waiting for her, I wondered if I had made a mistake. Was she avoiding me? Had I done something to push her away? I couldn’t shake the feeling that something was wrong, but I didn’t know what.
A knock on the door interrupted my thoughts. I glanced up to see one of my attendants.
“Your Highness,” he said, bowing slightly. “The Princess Seraphina is waiting for you in the drawing room. She wishes to go over the final details for the ball.”
I nodded absently, standing up from the table. “I’ll be there shortly.”
As I left the library, my mind remained on her. I hoped—no, I needed her to come back soon. There were things I wanted to say, things I hadn’t realized until recently. I had never been good at expressing my feelings, but for her... I was willing to try.

Seraphina greeted me with a smile when I arrived in the drawing room. “You’re late,” she teased lightly. “Thinking about someone?”
I shot her a look, but didn’t respond. She was too perceptive for her own good.
We spent the next hour discussing the arrangements for the ball, but my thoughts kept drifting back to her. Seraphina must have noticed because she finally set down her notes and leaned back in her chair, studying me with a curious expression.
“She hasn’t come to see you, has she?” Seraphina asked.
I frowned. “You knew?”
“Of course. It’s hard not to notice when you’re distracted, Rafael.” Her tone was gentle, but there was an edge of amusement in her voice. “You should talk to her.”
“I don’t even know where she is,” I admitted. The frustration in my voice was clear, and Seraphina gave me a sympathetic look.
“I’ve seen the way you look at her,” Seraphina said softly, a knowing smile on her lips. “You care for her more than you realize. Don’t let her slip away.”
I didn’t respond, but her words weighed heavily on my mind. Had I really been that obvious? And more importantly—had I been too late?
As I made my way back to the palace later that night, I found myself thinking about all the moments we had shared. Her laughter, her stubbornness, the way she always seemed to know exactly what to say to ease my mind. She had been my constant, even when I didn’t realize I needed one.
And now, she was gone.
No. She couldn’t be. I wouldn’t let her just disappear from my life.
I didn’t care if it took all night—I would find her, talk to her, and figure out what had gone wrong. And maybe, just maybe, I’d tell her how I truly felt.

It had been several days since I last went to the palace. I hadn't set foot in the library, nor had I gone to the archery range where Rafael and I used to spend hours together. I told myself that it was necessary—that I needed time to clear my head and put my emotions in check. But the truth was, I was avoiding him.
I had seen Rafael with Princess Seraphina too many times now, and each time felt like a dagger to my heart. He seemed so at ease around her, so happy, that it felt like I no longer had a place in his life. He didn’t even try to seek me out, not once. Not a single message sent through Selina, not a word asking about my well-being. It was as though I had already faded into the background of his life, replaced by the princess.
“Maybe I was just a temporary part of his journey,” I murmured to myself one night as I sat alone in my room. “Maybe I was just here to guide him until he found his own happiness.”
The thought hurt more than I cared to admit, but there was a part of me that knew it was true. Rafael seemed better now—more open, more relaxed. The cold distance he once held between himself and others had thawed, especially around Seraphina. Perhaps my job here was done.
Selina, noticing my gloom, had tried to cheer me up in her own way. “You should come shopping with me,” she suggested one morning. “You’ve been locked up in your room for days, and honestly, I need some help picking out a few things. It’ll be fun, and you need a distraction.”
Reluctantly, I agreed, not wanting to worry her further. Besides, what else could I do? I had no plans, no purpose here anymore.

As we wandered through the bustling market streets, Selina chattered away about her upcoming wedding with Prince Arthur. I listened absentmindedly, nodding along as we passed various shops. My mind was elsewhere, still stuck on thoughts of Rafael.
Then, as we passed one of the larger accessory shops, I froze.
Through the large glass window, I saw them—Rafael and Princess Seraphina. They were standing side by side, talking quietly, looking down at a display case filled with jewelry. My heart twisted painfully in my chest as I watched them, unaware of the world outside.
Rafael was smiling—a soft, genuine smile—and Seraphina seemed to be offering her opinion on something he was pointing at. I could see them clearly through the glass, their faces inches apart, their conversation relaxed and intimate. They looked like the perfect couple, like they belonged together.
A cold realization washed over me.
Rafael didn’t need me anymore. He had found his happiness. He had Seraphina now, someone who could stand by his side, someone who understood his world in a way I never could. The warmth I had once seen in his eyes when he looked at me had shifted to her.
My chest ached with the weight of it all. I wanted to run, but my feet felt glued to the ground.
“Why... why am I still here?” I whispered to myself. “I was never meant to stay.”
Selina, who had wandered ahead, didn’t notice that I had stopped. She was busy examining a dress at a nearby stall. My heart pounded in my ears as I stood there, rooted to the spot, unable to look away from Rafael and Seraphina.
They were laughing now. Seraphina pointed to a necklace, and Rafael nodded thoughtfully, his smile still lingering. He seemed so... happy. My mind raced as I tried to make sense of it. Was this what the novel had always planned? Had I failed to change anything after all?
Tears pricked at my eyes, but I blinked them away. I couldn’t cry here, not in the middle of the street. Not where anyone could see. Especially not Selina. She would only worry.
Taking a deep breath, I forced myself to turn away from the shop window and follow Selina. But the image of Rafael and Seraphina stayed burned in my mind.

That evening, as I sat by the window in my room, watching the sun set over the city, I made my decision. It was time to leave. The capital was no longer my place, and neither was Rafael’s world. I had done my part—I had helped him. He was no longer the cold, distant prince I had first met. He was happier now, and that was all I had ever wanted for him.
But there was no room for me in that happiness.
I reached for a pen and parchment, preparing to write a letter to my family back home. I would leave in two days, taking the first carriage back to the small village where I had grown up. The capital was grand and exciting, but it had never truly felt like home. Maybe it was time I returned to a simpler life.
The thought of leaving Rafael behind tugged at my heart, but what choice did I have? Staying here, watching him grow closer to Seraphina, watching their relationship blossom—it would only break me more. I couldn’t bear to be a bystander in his life any longer.
As I sealed the letter, a part of me hoped that maybe—just maybe—he would notice my absence before I left. But I quickly pushed the thought away. Rafael had his life, his future, and Seraphina. He didn’t need me anymore.
Or so I thought.
Now, with my decision to leave set in stone, I could only hope that by leaving, I might finally find peace. But deep down, a small voice whispered that perhaps I was running away from something more than just the painful reality of the novel’s future. Perhaps I was running from my own heart.
I opened my eyes, and the first thing I saw was a vast white room, without walls or any clear boundaries. Strange, I thought. The last thing I remembered was sitting at my computer, playing a popular survival game. But now, I was here, in a place I didn’t recognize.
“Welcome, Guide.” A calm, but cold voice greeted me from behind. I turned around to find a woman dressed in formal attire, her expression emotionless.
“Where am I? What’s going on?” I asked, panic creeping in.
The woman gave a faint smile. “You have been chosen to assume the role of a **Tutorial Guide** in the survival game you were playing. From now on, you’ll guide the main character in this game to survive.”
I was stunned. “I… transmigrated into a game?”
“Correct,” she replied. “You’re now part of the system. Your task is simple: guide the main character in this game until they survive and win. It’s straightforward, isn’t it?”
Still in shock, I tried to grasp the situation. As a gamer, the idea was actually quite exciting. I loved that survival game, and getting involved directly in it sounded like a new adventure. But one thing intrigued me even more—who would I be guiding?
“Who’s the main character?” I asked.
This time, the woman smiled more broadly. “His name is Rion. He’s the protagonist of this world, a determined, intelligent, and incredibly talented warrior. But he still needs guidance to fully unlock his potential.”
Rion. The name immediately struck me. I remembered that character from the game—a tough, resilient figure who always caught my attention. My heart quickened without me even realizing it. Maybe this wouldn’t be such a bad job after all.
“Alright,” I said, taking a deep breath. “I’ll do my part.”
---
I was now inside the game world, standing on the outskirts of a small village filled with smoke and ruins. This was the starting point of the game’s story. The main character, Rion, was alone after a bandit attack had destroyed his village.
As the **Guide**, I didn’t have a physical form. I was just a voice in his head, offering advice and instructions. But my interactions with Rion would be crucial to whether or not he could survive.
I decided to introduce myself.
“Rion, listen to me.”
Rion stopped in his tracks, glancing around even though he couldn’t see me. “Who’s there?”
“I am your Tutorial Guide. My job is to help you survive in this world.”
He looked cautious but curious. “Guide? What do you mean?”
“Think of me as a voice in your head that will provide advice and strategies for the challenges ahead. Trust me, I’m here to help.”
Rion nodded slightly, though still hesitant. “Alright… I don’t know who you are, but if you can help me, I’ll listen.”
I smiled inwardly. This was a good start. Rion might not fully trust me yet, but over time, he’d realize how important my presence would be.
---
Days passed, and I guided Rion through various challenges. From fending off wild animal attacks to finding food and water, and learning how to craft weapons from whatever he could find. Though this was just a game, the situations felt incredibly real.
One day, Rion faced a fight against bandits returning to raid his village. He struggled to fight them off with all his might, but the situation seemed bleak. The bandit was larger, stronger, and far more experienced.
“Don’t panic, Rion,” I whispered in his mind. “Watch his footwork. He’s slow when he swings his sword.”
Rion swallowed hard, but he listened to me. He swiftly dodged the bandit’s clumsy sword swipe and countered with a sharp punch to the bandit’s gut. In moments, the bandit collapsed.
“I… I did it…” Rion muttered, panting heavily.
“Yes, you did,” I replied. “You’re much stronger than you think.”
For the first time, I noticed a small smile form on his lips. Rion was stubborn and independent, but over time, he was starting to trust me more deeply.
And before I knew it, each time I guided Rion, my heart would beat a little faster. There was something about him that made me want to keep supporting and protecting him. Maybe because, in this game, he was the only one I could rely on. Or maybe… my feelings were beginning to turn into something more than just my duty.
---
As time went on, the challenges in the game became more intense. Rion wasn’t just fighting human enemies anymore; he was up against monsters and supernatural beings lurking in every shadow. But with my strategic help, Rion continued to survive and grow into an increasingly unstoppable force.
However, beneath all that, something new was growing inside me. Every time Rion overcame an obstacle, I felt proud. Every time he got hurt, my heart ached. I realized that I had begun to care about Rion, not just as a character in the game, but as someone I wanted to protect with everything I had.
But I also knew one painful truth: I was only a voice, a mere entity in this game. Could these feelings ever become real? What if Rion knew I wasn’t a human being? Would he still trust me?
---
Rion’s journey was nearing its end. The final battle against the biggest enemy was looming. I knew this would be an incredibly tough fight, but I believed Rion could win.
“Rion,” I called softly as he prepared for the last fight. “No matter what happens, I will always be here with you.”
Rion paused for a moment before answering calmly. “I know. And thank you… for everything.”
As those words left his lips, a wave of emotion surged inside me. I couldn’t hold it back any longer.
“Rion, there’s something I need to tell you. I… I…”
But before I could finish, the world suddenly turned white. I was ripped from my place and thrown back into the same white, empty room I had seen at the beginning.
“What’s happening?” I asked, panicked. “Am I finished?”
The same woman appeared in front of me. “Yes, your task is complete, Guide.”
“No! I’m not finished!” I protested. “I haven’t said what I wanted to say to Rion!”
“Your job was to guide, nothing more,” she replied calmly. “You are part of the system. Your feelings don’t matter.”
“But I…” I wanted to argue, but her voice grew stronger.
“Your task is done. You will return.”
And before I could do anything, everything faded. I was back in the real world, leaving Rion behind. But the feelings I had developed for him didn’t fade.
---
Back in the real world, I sat in front of my computer, staring at the blank game screen. Rion had won the final battle, but I felt something was missing. My feelings for him still lingered, even though I knew the world we had shared was now forever separate.
But in my heart, I believed one thing: Somehow, someday, I would return to that world. I would meet Rion again. And this time, I would make sure I finished what I had started.
