“He thinks of me only as a child!” Arba stared at her dismayed expression for a few moments, then giggled lightly to ease her tense mood. “I wouldn’t say it like that! You are important to him! I think he sees you as his precious comrade, a friend - maybe, even as his little sister!” Sheba’s jaw dropped instantly. His little sister? Had she really said he saw her as his little sister? She could hardly accept that he saw her as no more than a friend, let alone her being his sister! “But I don’t want to be his sister! I want to be-” Her words died in her mouth at the sole thought. “His wife?” Arba finished for her. Sheba blushed so hard that she thought she was about to faint and averted her eyes from her friend’s intense gaze. She could already picture it all: he’d go down on one knee, take her hands in his and kiss each of her fingertips tenderly, then he’d look up at her and say those magical three words that she was dying to hear, and she would obviously say yes and hug him and kiss him until they could no longer breathe. Those images in her mind were enough to set her cheeks on fire, more than they already were. Arba smiled knowingly, getting up from her seat. “Come on, Sheba, cheer up! Aren’t we talking about the past? He told you he wasn’t going to look down on you anymore, didn’t he? I’m sure he changed his opinion about you, and much so.” “He’s not behaving any differently than before, you know?” She said, a note of pure discontent in her voice. “Just give him time.”

Day 2: Alternate Universe ≈ Summer/Winter

R ▪ A ▪ P ▪ U ▪ N ▪ Z ▪ E ▪ L

⭐ The sun was striking very, very hot. Uraltugo Noi Nueph — also known as Ugo: the genius of science, a friend of Solomon; the prince of the Orthodox Palace — accidentally got lost in the forest in search of a medicine. While seeking for a way out, he found a very, very tall tower behind the tall woods. He was afraid with the mystery. He had to go back as soon as possible or the witch(?) of this place might haunt him into his dreams.

….And as he walked his way out— and was suddenly guided by Arba who claims to be the ‘guardian of this forest'— he heard a very soft and feminine giggle from the tower. He wanted to inquire about the mysterious place but he couldn’t. He had to go back to Solomon.

▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪ He told Solomon about the tower. Ugo pleaded to see who that girl was and so the prince did.

He got lost but eventually found his way towards the tall tower … . and saw a very long pink hair hanging down from the window at the top of the tower.

Who is she?

The color of her hair interests me.

He began climbing on the hair. He felt it shook and he knew the 'girl’ also felt that someone was climbing on the tower using her hair.

“Auntie Arba!”, said the owner of the hair, running towards the window with a very enthusiastic smile, “How was your trip from the—”

She halted. Her eyes widened.

“W-Who… are you?”

“I’m… Solomon..

He was fascinated. She was beautiful. Her hair was a match to her face. Her voice was very light.

”….And you are?“

He felt warmth in her. He wanted to touch her. To know her.

It seems that this girl…..

"I.. I am Sheba.”

Prompt: Marriage - Comparison/Contrast

If anyone told him five years before that he would be in this situation, he would have laughed and said it was absolutely impossible, he thought. 

But, then again, there he was, staring at that beautiful ring he held between his fingers. Solomon did not know the very moment in which he fell in love with her, maybe there wasn’t even a precise moment, it happened slowly, day by day. 

Since when she had defended him from the other species’ accusation, since when he decided to look at her differently, like she deserved, he felt himself fall deeper for her with each day, each hour, each second passing by, to the point where he could no longer imagine his life without her by his side, no longer think about anyone but her, to the point where he could not stand not tasting her flavor on his lips or turning to his side and not catch her right there, secretly staring. 

But how exactly did it happen? He almost did not realize, but here he was, thinking that his only home were her arms and his only music her voice. 

How could he fail to see for so many years that she was such a graceful creature? So gentle, so understanding, so positive and cheerful, always making sure that her love reached and embraced him whole, that he was never alone, so warm. 

 Yes, that was why he loved her so dearly: she was warm, very much so. 

Unlike him. He had always felt cold, freezing in his cold solitude, in his cold behaviour and his cold words and ideas, but then she came, like sunlight in a gelid winter night, she melted the ice that caged his heart. 

He loved her because she was so different from him, despite being similar. She was different, in a way that completed him, that made him feel whole only when he was with her. 

Sheba was perfect, marvelous, in a way he couldn’t put into words. And she was his, even if he didn’t and never would deserve her, he was going to hold on to her forever, because he realized he couldn’t live without her anymore. With that newly found determination, he finally went to find her, ready to offer her his whole existence.
