Fully agree, but also, if you want to get around using a Microsoft account during a Windows install, there is a way. A way that they purposefully hid and that requires you to go through command line to access a fully coded GUI window that they previously had linked to the appropriate screen during set up. But there is a way!
Anyway, hit Shift+F10 when it asks you to sign into or create a Microsoft account
Command prompt should pop up
Type:
start ms-cxh:localonly
and hit enter.
The window for creating a local account should pop up and you just need to follow the on-screen instructions from there.
