EDM Diversity n such'
So i've been up late the past few nights (really fucking late), and I was thinking about my music and EDM in general. You know what sucks? My music and tons of artists are really good, but NO one knows about them. There is so much diverse talent on this planet and it's very limited, everyone knows about *insert mainstream name* and people flip a shit, like "ooooohhh i love ____" (well so does everyone fucking else). But don't get me wrong, soundcloud and all these sites for sharing music is great, but sometimes i feel it's not enough. I was browsing on someone's soundcloud a few days ago, they had really amazing stuff. Well produced/ melody/ mastered, but had like 20something follwers and barely any facebook likes, and that's what my situation is.Â
The world is EDM is a bitch, it's either you're in, or you're out.
I make music not for the fame n publicity, it's because I want to put my emotion/ideas/creativity/story into my music and share it with the world. Yes, and all the *mainstream artists* do this same technique, but lets be honest, todays EDM is a melody or progression leading into a same drop/kick/melody w/ kick whatever, and I think their should be a change, like why not intermix genre's?Â
EDM needs to become more creative, not just single after single. EDM is music, it's a way of life. People should hear new stuff and new music.
(and if anything I say here is wrong, well sorry it's how I feel)
